You can reload webpages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

  • Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button
  • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
  • Press 'Command + shift + R' (Mac)

Clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

  • 18 Firefox does not update the 2013.2.3.1 norton toolbar. is it possible to do it manually?

I have the latest versions of Firefox and Norton Internet Security, have restarted several times and no still no toolbar Norton. The Add-ons screen does not list the 2013.2.3.1 version, only the previous version that is disabled. Is there a way to force this update?

    Thank you

  • Firefox does not update?

So, when I came to Firefox, I was able to upgrade to the latest version by clicking on 'Firefox' scroll down on the left upper corner of the screen, then clicking on 'Help' and then clicking on "about Firefox".

Since the 14.0 update something, my Firefox update not mentioned above no longer work. For example, after I click on "Firefox on ' update, the pop up says:

    Restart to update (clickable)
You are currently on the channel of update release.

So, I click on restart to update, but it did NOT update or whatever it is. Therefore, I have to manually keep downloading the new version by going to the Mozilla Firefox site and then download the client, etc., which is annoying.

Also, once I update my Mozilla Firefox manually downloading the site again once, it does NOT solve the update feature mentioned earlier.

So my question is: anyone know why this feature to update mentioned above does not work for me more?

Thank you. I look forward to your responses.

    I found the problem.

  • Why Firefox does not scroll the page when choosing & the cursor reaches the bottom of the screen

The selection of text on a page of the screen when the cursor reaches the lower edge of the screen in Firefox (version 9.0.1) does not scroll. Other programs (including IE) do, so it doesn't seem to be a local computer problem.
I don't see a setting in the page options that enables / disables this then what is the solution?

Activate the module bar (Firefox > Options or view > toolbars;) CTRL + /) or find bar to make Firefox scroll the page while selecting the text (Ctrl + F).

  • Firefox does not open yahoo mail or google

Update the latest Mozilla firefox 33.0.2 with a maintenance package. Now, I can't open anything through firefox - my yahoo mail, google accounts, search in google, etc. Any suggestions on how to get firefox to work?

Someone had a similar problem as you. Follow the steps below and tell me what happens if you try to connect to Yahoo after doing:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

WARNING: Do not use an uninstaller to third parties as part of this process. This could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. They can be retrieved easily unless they have been backed up on an external device! See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox.

  • Why Firefox does not allow home page to be changed without my knowledge?

  • 23 Firefox does not display web sites in Google groups

I am the administrator of a Google Group. I can connect to Google Groups with my name and my password, but all I get is a page where I can find groups of names or messages. If I get the name of a group, it absolutely nothing happens.
I have no problem connecting in with Internet Explorer Google groups. Also, I had no problem with the previous version of Firefox.

I have reset Firefox to its default state and that solved the problem. No additional responses are needed.

  • When I change albums on my site of Porta Firefox does not update the site well as do other browsers.

I have a site of Porta by using 'bystander' and when I update the albums he is generally very good, but today I changed the content in 2 albums and even if they are updates on other browsers, the changes are not displayed in my Firefox. I deleted history etc in the case that was originally a delay in updating the browser, but it made no difference. Anyone has any ideas please?

    This has happened

Tools > Options-> advanced > > tab network - storage offline = clear now button.

  • Firefox does not display the pages correctly.

Images are not displayed. It works if I start in safe mode, but I don't know what extensions or plug-ins is causing the problem. Tried to uninstall and reinstall, but all the same plugins and extensions are always there. I can't remove the extensions or plugins.

Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration?

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

  • Firefox does not display Web pages, just a white screen

All my other browsers work as well as my internet connection (IE, Chrome)

When I go on a site in Firefox, nothing happens and I have a white screen.

Try to start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if that helps.

Do a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a new copy of Firefox.

Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible, the settings in the software security and cleaning of the Windows registry.

    • Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you will also lose your personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

If you keep problems also create a new profile.

  • Why the page in Firefox does not display the page in the server of the provider?

I'm a Web Designer. I have the file manager my computer Linux Krusader, which allows me to copy files to my host server. Normally, when I do that and renewed page on Firefox, the page indicating with precision in Firefox reflects the change that I copied on my host server. Lately, apart from clear the memory cache, exit Firefox and return, the page on Firefox continues to be the old page without change.

I found that the problem lies in my host server. Thank you for your support.
