BlackBerry Smartphones Mobile AIM

I have a question about the TARGET mobile and Blackberry Messenger. I understand that data services must be turned on in order for these to work, but does that mean if I don't have a data plan for my Blackberry, I can't use these applications without being charged for the data? I have ATT with unlimited messaging that is supposed to include IM, but I don't have a data plan.

Fix. You need a data plan for any IM client work. Without a data plan you can send and receive the SMS. Yes, on most carriers, you will need a data plan to send/retrieve MMS messages

  • BlackBerry Smartphones mobile Skype on "BOLD"?

Hi people has been wondering if Skype mobile work on a wi - fi on my "BOLD", and that it would be a good idea to try to download in the first place?

I don't think that the Blackberry is officially supported by Skype. Probably the easiest to use (without http://m.iskoot.com of your BB) iSkoot or BeeJive IM + for Skype ($$).  I used iSkoot and it works pretty well. If you need Skype-out, he composed a local point of presence, so it will use your inclusive minutes.

    Rolyb

    Hi @rolyb

Your device will enjoy least cost routing

In other words, given that Wi - Fi is available free of charge from your mobile data, as long as you have a Wi - Fi connection all activity data will use your Wi - Fi connection rather than the mobile network.

    I hope this helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones mobile AddressBook

I backed up all my information from a previous blackberry.  Is it possible to move only the address book without transfer to the new calendar, SMS etc...?

    Thank you.

You can restore the backup that you did for the new device by using the restore feature / advanced in the Desktop Manager and do NOT select the databases you want to not transferred.

OR you can use the switch device Wizard to move ALL your data from the old machine to the new device and once you are facing up and running, go back to the Office Manager and clear the databases of applications (SMS, calendar, etc.) you want to do not.

This procedure will complete remove all calendar entries or entries from the address book on your BlackBerry.

If you are eager to remove a database on the BlackBerry, other than the address book or calendar for which this instrunctional is written, then replace your database application when below reads "Address book" or "calendar".

    1. open the Desktop Manager on your PC.

    2. open Backup/Restore > advanced.

    3. in Advanced Options, you will see a split pane screen. Left pain is what happens to save on your device and the right is a list of the existing databases.

3 select right your address book database (or your Calendar database), and then click the arrow in the Middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information on and prepare it for the backup.

    4. once the backup is complete, click the button Clear down to erase, and then clean up the database of book full address (or calendar).

    5. once it is finished, it will ask you if you want to save the backup that you created, say you Yes and check the device to make sure that the address book (or calendar) has been duly cleared out. Now, Resync the necessary contact details and you should be set to go.

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) books of forwarding Service

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot-~ 5 minutes
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, you may have to wipe your device and then do the above... sometimes, running on another network corrupts so evil that the foregoing cannot fix your Service books. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

Hello and welcome to the community!

Indeed, these IPD files are backups of your BB and are available as a source of food (they are a proprietary format and cannot be used for any other purpose, except by a few 3rd party applications that have been written to analyse). Choose the most recent one (the one with the most recent date and time, as displayed in the File Manager Windows) using this procedure:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry not syncing with Gmail

My Blackberry Bold 9900 stopped sync with Gmail. I only synchronize e-mail, contacts, or calendar. I mainly use Gmail site on my PC to read and delete emails. I have more than 70 unread e-mails on my Blackberry that were already deleted from the Gmail Web site. The option 'balance' has no effect. I can receive new Gmail on Blackberry messages, but if I have to 'Mark as read' or 'Clear' an email actions does not sync with the Gmail Web site. The same is true if I 'Mark as read' or 'Delete' an email on Gmail Web site. The actions are not synchronized with the Blackberry. I have 2 Android devices and a Windows Phone that syncs with Gmail without a problem. I just have the problem on my Blackberry.

    My device information:

    BlackBerry Bold 9900

    7.1 bundle 2435 (v7.1.0.862, platform 5.1.0.662)

    Reconciliation of BlackBerry e-mail settings:

    Delete on: mailbox & Pocket

    Wireless reconcile: checked

    On conflicts: mailbox WINS

    Gmail settings:

Inbox, and garbage are included in IMAP feeds

Also, I tried to delete Gmail from Blackberry account. When I did he told me he would remove all Gmail messages from the phone but it moved all the Gmail unread messages in my main mailbox. (I keep Gmail and Exchange separate emails on my Blackberry). It is also impossible to select multiple messages at the same time to remove if they are not in a consecutive order.

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

Good luck and let us know!
