  Installed MP3 ringtone creator, then warned of the update. Tried to install the update, received the error of App World, was not available for download.   The situation is resolved. The unit had to be hard rebooted at least twice since I posted the problem.  Relocation of several apps apparently solved the problem. Thank you.

  The Bold 9700 for 6.0 2534 operating system update.  The upgrade succeeded, but I now have a very reduced series of ring options.  In reality the available choices are now more suited to warning messages instead of call alerts.  How can I get the alert ringtone call options that were previously available for me. the current choices are not fit for purpose.  Advice appreciated.

  Can someone tell me please how to add a mp3 file as a ringtone for text message. If I bring up the option while in the media files it gives me only the ability to add as ringtone.

  Profiles, scroll to advance, select the profile you want to edit. Scroll until you want to change i.e. phone, SMS, MMS. It give you off the Holster Holster/profiles. Select Browse, and then select your track you want.

  ONEC you in the media application, open the menu and select Explorer.
  Then you have a file manager: you can select a file and move it to another folder.

  Ringtone "tune_FurElise" continues to go off every 5 minutes.  Everybody around me and driving me crazy!  This ring tone has not been selected for anything or someone's phone number.  How can I stop this or how can I remove the preloaded ringtone "tune_FurElise"?  I have a BB curve 8330, I don't want to do a hard reset, if I do not.

  Its definitely set as something.  You can just go to the media icon and delete there under Preset ringtones.

  To switch between profiles, simply click on the profile icon and then scroll down and click on the desired profile (sounds like you want, then click on that).

  To change a profile, follow these steps:

  1. click on the profile icon

  2. scroll down and click on advanced

  3. in the list of profile names, select Loud, then press the Menu button (on the left of the trackball)

  4. click on edit in the menu

  Now you should see the options in the case and the case you are looking for.  I think you were accidentally go into the profiles of Exception, which is more than you want to.

  These files are not compatible with the BB.

  Hello, I noticed that ringtones seem to be a subject of regular discussion and my question may have developed before but I thought I'm new to this, I would ask anyway.

  I put a (music) ringtone to a specific contact, but I found that 'all' incoming calls were affected.

  I created a different contact with a different ringtone (music) and this new ringtone eventually became the ringing tone for incoming calls... I checked the first contact that I put a ringtone for and it still shows the old name of the song that I had put to him, but as noted, has played a different song.

  You can set different ringtones for a variety of different contacts and if so, how are you?

  When you create a new exception, you choose to:
  It's a contact that you choose.

  for any phone number of this contact, it should behave the same.

  If your still running the OS stock.75 version the last suggestion does not work either. Its a glitch OS. If you are with VZW keep enemy waiting la.113 level with the rest of us, this problem is one of the fixes included in the upgrade.

  Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I set the default ringtone to my 9630, but it does not apply to all contacts. The only way to adjust the ringer is within each individual contact. However, the default Ring Tones/alerts work for Messages, Instant Messages, reminders and more.

  I have the same problem. Here's what could be your problem:

  Go to: sounds (click on icon)

  Scroll down to "set contact alerts ' click that

  If you see the name of someone in your address book delete them unless you have added custom contact ringtones. I found when I change a contact in the phone for reasons unknown to me or Sprint, adds the contact here and adds a default ring tone that replaces what you set.
