BlackBerry smartphones need assistance with wifi

Help! I just took the pearl flip out of the box and I can connect to my router, but I can't PING my router or browse the internet.
My router: Linksys WRT51AB 1.2 Firmware.

I am able to get an IP (192.168.0.106) and am able to see the BB on the routers DHCP status table. When I try to ping to the router (192.168.0.1) I get "Error reaching location ping." When I try to browse the internet, I get a "cannot find the requested server. I have a network open, no WEP. Linksys does not support the router more so I can't get any update of the firmware.

I also tried to manually set address IP + gateway without success.

I also have not yet put my SIM yet and have defined the 'Data Services' on 'On' and 'Connection Preference', 'Wi - Fi only.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you
Chris

With the phone turn on, reset the unit, remove the battery for 30 seconds and reinstall again and reset the router too and try again.

    Hello

I have a BB 8310 from AT & T (complete idiots) that had me update my BB software to 4.5 today and also update 4.6 Office Manager.  Before that, nobody says anything to do a backup & restore once everything has been done after hours of lost time (I hate the new look).  in any case, I realized that all my contacts were in my Yahoo email once I have synced so I was able to get back them.  However, my schedule is saved in MS Outlook, which I've not used for e-mail in more than 3 years.  My outlook is connected to an old email address that was cancelled years ago.  How can I get all my calendar to sync Outlook with my BB?  Please help because it will allow me to save a lot of time.

To go to the home screen application Select/highlight a desired icon -> click on Menu -> move to folder -> home

The opportunity to see the upcoming appiontments, that you must have a theme. In your operating system previous different theme called 'Today' was the thing for you. You can do a google search for this topic.

    Thx for the help

Hello and welcome to the community!

You must uninstall all packages of BB device software from your PC. Then, install the exact OS that this BB is running on your PC:

    • KB23393 How to check the model number and the version of the BlackBerry device software on a BlackBerry smartphone

If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Then, when you run the Desktop software then connect this BB, appropriate things should appear in the AppLoader screen for her (note that, if you connect that to other BB currently displayed correctly, it does display properly since the Desktop software is substituted by the installed PC, the package of BB OS).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need assistance on issues of Marshmallow

Hey guys, I've been checking the Web for these problems that I currently have since the update of 5.0 to 6.0 and I was hoping I could get better responses here.

    1. lock screen (I use model) do not immediately display the notifications and clock as previously on the lollipop. After pressing the power button, it shows just the configuration screen, and you must now press the "back" icon to see the old screen (with the unread notifications and clock). Y at - it an option to bring back the old behavior? Not really a problem but its worth asking if you guys know a work around.

UPDATE: I finally found option I was looking for! So for the option "screen wakes up to."

    2. I can't seem to access my internal files and SD card after plugging my phone to a computer. The device Blackberry icon appears in my computer but is no longer visible records, etc. by double-clicking on it just shows a blank screen/window. The ability to change the features of the device when it is connected to a computer via Options > Storrage is now gone in 6.0. I used to manage my files including photos and music on my computer before the update. Resorting to the removal of the SD card whenever I need to back up my photos?

Please also note that I tried to do a hard reset hoping to fix what might have problems, but nothing works. I even tried to install the BlackBerry-USBDrivers - 5.0.0.2 as suggested on one of the older sons. You guys have the same problems after update to the marshmallow?

    and one last thing,

    3. the middle button on the side as well as the volume buttons does not seem to have a use more... Such a shame because I find it one of the features most practical of the private when you go fast silent during meetings. You can tap it, but it gives you just the ability to scroll the volume. The instant mute option is now available with the rest of the 'slide-downs. " such a shame.

    # 2: when you connect your phone to your PC, then drag down on the shadow of the notification and he lies and must show you a selection.

#3: I think it has changed - when you press it, there is a do not disturb option, so play with it.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help with the word base to use

I tried endless forums on help to use the basic features of the Doc to go to search. everyone seems to have a problem PDF, attachment problem or another problem of advanced feature, I can just transfer my Word documents on my blackberry and view them. From DataViz Web site had no answer for me.

I have a BB storm, with VZW, using the most recent 4.7 OS it is a personal phone, so don't think it's a problem of BES.

I'm not very Savy BB, this is my first phone which does more then call / SMS and I'm sure I've missed a step somewhere, it may not be difficult to get a word in my Storm doc and visualize it.

I used the Desktop Manager to transfer documents word on my storm, I transferred to the default documents folder.

I also tried drag-and - drop file to my blackberry just using my PC.

also, I tried to send me an email and download the attachment.

I can get the files from my storm, when I go to the media and to "explore" I can see the files, but I can't open them, according to the extension, it is said, is not an RTF file or unable to display file/Media card/blackberry/documents/""".wps

And when I try to access it directly from the Word go, it appears same.

    Am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated, I think I'm missing something or I missed a step somwhere.

If someone can share with me a step by step how to send a word document (what to save it under) for my blackberry (where to put) and in fact he discovered (where to go) would be great.

also I missed something permissions? I set everything on Documents to go to 'allow' and reset the firewall.

    Hello and welcome!

Looks like you do everything right. I just sent myself a doc word opened the email and who launched Word to Go. I then closed and saved and can be found only through Media-Explorer or by first launching WordToGo and then open it. So it seems that something is wrong with yours.

First thought - there was an update for Documents To Go... the current version is 1.006 (052) - find who spear one of the applications To Go and then open the menu (button BB) and selecting "about...". ». If you are on an older version, first advice is to get the update (another selection in this menu). Then try again.

Second thought - which version of Word? I noticed my WordToGo talks about reading through Word2004 (I think they mean 2003). If you try to use a document of 2007 (.docx), it might not work.

Tips to clear the message unread... try them in the order.

If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:

    Try these options:
The main Messages folder and select today's date, click on the menu button and then select Mark prior opened.
    * Hard Reset BlackBerry now ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or with the BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert the battery)
    Messages > saved Messages
Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
    * Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
    * Connect to Desktop Manager > backup/restore > advanced. On the right pane is the list of the data on your device. Scroll to the e-mail highlighted messages database, and then below, select TRANSPARENT. This will clear your system of all messages.
    * Clean and reload your OS.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help with an icon that is appeared after my phone rebooted

My Blackberry Bold 9650 restarted when I clicked on the option of the camera.  After that it was really slow.  I noticed a new icon on the top of the main screen.  Never seen before.

There is 1 with a circle next to it.  Inside the circle is an arrow pointing to the Southwest.  In the northeast corner of the cirlce is red dot something.  I have no idea what it is, but since it appeared after the reboot, I want to make sure I know what it is.

I would appreciate an answer on what means the icon.  It is not true slow more (so far), but I'm still curious about the icon.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

This icon is an indicator of the AppWorld himself or one of your apps has an update available. Launch the AppWorld and archive MyWorld.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help with resetting the voice message counter

Recently, I moved the United States in India and brought with me my favorite Storm 9530. In the United States, I had Verizon as my career and I went to Vodafone in India. Prior to joining Vodafone, he had 5 posts not read/unheard voices and so my Storm showed o_o 5 on the home screen. After that I went to Vodafone, this count is reset. I tried all over the web for a solution to remove this notification of my camera, but can't find a viable solution. According to my understanding, I thought that the count resets automatically once I have activate my voicemail to Vodafone, but after I signed, I realized that the Vodafone India use no method of "Notification of device" for voice messages, but sends an SMS whenever you have a virtual machine. With this result, the number of old was put in my camera never gets reset or reset.

Y at - there someone who can give me a solution for this reset? Is there a way/software that will let me access the device's internal data structures and reset. My carrier, Vodafone India already has informed me that they cannot help me with this.

    Thanks in advance.

The solution does not work. The only thing you need to keep in mind is to first take a full backup of the device via Device Manager and wiping the device, DO NOT remove the third-party applications.

I had to reinstall all applications that a lot of time.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help with my email on my Blackberry Curve

I got an email from Yahoo (POP) and an e-mail to AOL (IMAP) address.  I use firefox thunderbird on my PC and both operate independently of each other. However, I have problems on my Blackberry Curve.  When the email is sent to my Yahoo account, it appears on my AOL account. (I want to prevent this.  In the next miss calls appear on my AOL account and I would like it to appear on my Yahoo account.

I want two emails to get only the mail that is intended for each account. Can someone help me? Thank you

Your BlackBerry will be a message main file "Messages". You will have two more, one for Yahoo, and one on behalf of AOL.

All emails will come in the main folder of Messages, by default, and which cannot be changed. I suggest you hide your folders from Yahoo and AOL, since they basically duplicate what is in the main messages folder.

Some people will hide the folder key messages and let the other email will gather visable specific folders, however since your messages folder main is also the only place your PIN and other messages of type, you may miss one of them if you hide this folder.

For calls to your main Inbox - press the green phone dialing > Menu (to the left of the trackball) and press Options > Call Logging. The NONE value and save.

If you have any other questions, please ask.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help with the new sim card

I don't know why I have such a hard time finding how to do this. It's really making me feel like a * beep * here, so any help will be appreciated

I'm on Sprint here in the United States and I'm on a trip to Romania in a few weeks and I wanted to have my phone all set up in advance. I bought a prepaid SIM Vodafone Romania, and told me that it is active and active international roaming. I tried it in 2 unlocked bolding my 9930 current and my old 9650. All I get is SOS and emergency calling only, both on AT & T or T-Mobile. I can't yet figure out how to get the phone number attached to the card. What's on the map with that he came are BPUK PIN and PUK. And I can't record with MyVodafone on their website without the phone number. I don't really know how to proceed. I was hoping to use SMS in roaming here until I leave.

    Thanks in advance...

I was able to get the activated through e-mails with vodafone SIM. Just post here my solution in case anyone has the same problem.

  • BlackBerry smartphones need help with the choice of the network.

    Hello

I recently bought a torch 9860. I am in India and currently using a 2 g carrier. My question is... Even if

I use a 2g SIM... I get the 3g signal on my phone and sometimes the edge... what I want to know is. If leaving the network settings on automatic... it consumes more battery continues to change between 2g and 3g...? And there will be differences in browsing speed if I select mode 2 g since I use a 2 g SIM...

Well, the standard battery is set by the manufacturer and it is quoted for 2G and 3G separately. So choose that 3 G will not increase the life of the battery rather will provide you with an optimal output. The other commutation constant will degrade the autonomy significantly.

For all that interested-, I managed to get the installed DM.  I took a hack and slash approach in my registry.  I saved a copy (just in case) and I proceeded to remove all references to ResearchInMotion, RIM and Pumatech.  I went way beyond the entries mentioned in clean used uninstall documentation.  This seems to have solved my problem.
