BlackBerry smartphones NEED to downgrade 5.0.0.973 what!

Friday night, I did an update version 5.0 Wireless (don't remember which) for 5.0.0.973 only to wake up this morning with my contacts locked and then finally missing. BBM just won't work.  He said that I had no wireless connection. "On BBM I got (and not always) an error message that says: eception exception: java.lang.nullpointerexception"!  WTH? I have beautiful office as a backup, tried to sync with the phone, which didn't work (only about 60 240 contacts is returned). Tried to delete nice Office and re - install to get contacts back and nothing.  When I manually add contacts, they appear more than 20 times.  I'm stuck.

Everything is what I find on this site to do a downgrade to a PC.  I don't have a Mac.  So, here is my question, if I back up my phone on my Blackberry Desktop Manager I have on my MAC and then do a security wipe, what happens? I know that the phone will be well washed, but what OS system arise.

I'm NOT a geek, then please give it to me in plain language.  It drives me crazy because I don't know who calls me more because I'm not recognize phone numbers.

Finally, the backup of the device, when I restore, will I have the same operating system? All my memos and 3rd party applications come back? I have no idea about all this, so any info will help!  I just want to be able to use my phone decently again.

Yes, when I connected to my desktop (on a MAC) Manager, he says upgrades are available.  When I click on details, we were for a newer version and it was for the lower version.  I clicked on the lower version, and he only told me that I had no decommissioning and I accepted.  It has been working fine since then.  Not sure why I had the opportunity, but that's what I got.

  • 9320 blackBerry smartphones needs help!

    Hi all!
I bought my first Blackberry Curve 9320 in May and I downloaded the latest software on July (version 7.1 2093), and I can't find any other version.

Now, when I try to connect my mobile on the market, he said to I need to download the latest version (even if I do it with my PC or WI - FI connection), and if I go to www.blackberry.com/appworld/support to download, it tells the of there an error (503, if I remember).

I also tried to download sent to my email address, but it does not in any case!
So the problem is that I can not connect my Blackberry to its low of PC market or even use from my mobile.

    Can someone help me?

Hello and welcome to the community!

    Please try this sequence:

    (1) to remove from your BB AppWorld

    • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
    • He asks to restart the BB,

    (2) a Batt Pull reboot (power on, remove the battery, wait, insert the battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

    3) install a new copy of AppWorld (on your BB)

    (4) restart another Batt-sweater

    (5) see if it works now.

    See you soon!

    Thx for the help

Hello and welcome to the community!

You must uninstall all packages of BB device software from your PC. Then, install the exact OS that this BB is running on your PC:

    • KB23393 How to check the model number and the version of the BlackBerry device software on a BlackBerry smartphone

If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Then, when you run the Desktop software then connect this BB, appropriate things should appear in the AppLoader screen for her (note that, if you connect that to other BB currently displayed correctly, it does display properly since the Desktop software is substituted by the installed PC, the package of BB OS).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need assistance on issues of Marshmallow

Hey guys, I've been checking the Web for these problems that I currently have since the update of 5.0 to 6.0 and I was hoping I could get better responses here.

    1. lock screen (I use model) do not immediately display the notifications and clock as previously on the lollipop. After pressing the power button, it shows just the configuration screen, and you must now press the "back" icon to see the old screen (with the unread notifications and clock). Y at - it an option to bring back the old behavior? Not really a problem but its worth asking if you guys know a work around.

UPDATE: I finally found option I was looking for! So for the option "screen wakes up to."

    2. I can't seem to access my internal files and SD card after plugging my phone to a computer. The device Blackberry icon appears in my computer but is no longer visible records, etc. by double-clicking on it just shows a blank screen/window. The ability to change the features of the device when it is connected to a computer via Options > Storrage is now gone in 6.0. I used to manage my files including photos and music on my computer before the update. Resorting to the removal of the SD card whenever I need to back up my photos?

Please also note that I tried to do a hard reset hoping to fix what might have problems, but nothing works. I even tried to install the BlackBerry-USBDrivers - 5.0.0.2 as suggested on one of the older sons. You guys have the same problems after update to the marshmallow?

    and one last thing,

    3. the middle button on the side as well as the volume buttons does not seem to have a use more... Such a shame because I find it one of the features most practical of the private when you go fast silent during meetings. You can tap it, but it gives you just the ability to scroll the volume. The instant mute option is now available with the rest of the 'slide-downs. " such a shame.

    # 2: when you connect your phone to your PC, then drag down on the shadow of the notification and he lies and must show you a selection.

#3: I think it has changed - when you press it, there is a do not disturb option, so play with it.

  • BlackBerry smartphones need help on my email account but is not a service of BB.

How can I access my email I have no bb service. I have wifi link already in the phone. How can I replace the bb? I used red pocket mobile service. Any help is appreciated. Oh btw, they give me this heap configuration that I cannot configure LOL and don't know what even the instruction button too for a girl not like me hight tech . Help, please!

As correctly mentioned knottyrope, you need a BlackBerry (or BIS of BlackBerry Internet Service) data plan fully to access your email accounts.

BIS will push notifications by e-mail on your phone if you don't have to go look for new ones.  He is also responsible to push for new posts to facebook, new tweets, etc., on your phone.  Without this, you must consult your e-mail on the web account to access, you will need to go to facebook.com to see new messages, you will need to go to twitter.com for new tweets, etc..

I hope that explains it for you.

    ATT

    Curve 8310

I have to sync with outlook for my contacts

I am running windows vista home

    my questions are so

    (1) I never got it to syn w my calendar outlook so I settled for the yahoo one - how can I fix?

    (2) on my computer, hm, I posted the pics to some contacts - when I sync they don't yield to my bb - how can I fix?

    Thank you very much

    Gloria

    Hello

I saw 5 or 6 posts on the same topic with no resolution. I guess I got lucky that I had no contacts photo until I had the BB and put them on it. They sync right upward with Outlook. I'm sure someone will have an answer for that, there are a lot of people REALLY smart here!

An iteration point, when I added the photo contact I managed to delete the photos on the card carrier and device memory. Apparently, it becomes part of the record. So you can save space when you get them. If you only have ten or twenty years, you can use windows to drag and drop the images on your press card. Once there, you call the image upwards in the media, press the menu key and select Add as a contact. You can then crop and then will contact you just have to click on the contact and you're done. In my view, that it took me about 30-45 minutes to set up mine.

It may be simpler to wait for a workaround solution.

    I hope this helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones need help to unlock my BlackBerry 9810

I have a BlackBerry Torch 9810 of AT & T. The phone keeps asking me the PUK code. Please help me find the PUK code for my torch 9810. I can't access anything, not even the menu for my BlackBerry 9810!

Need help to remove the PUK code!

I am totally fed up with AT & T as they rob me of my money. I need network unlock my phone contract AT & T I need code unlock and the PUK code. If I don't get the unlockcodes I'll have to throw my BlackBerry Torch 9810 for nothing!

When the error message "ENTER PUK CODE" appears on the screen of the device:

    1. Connect to myAT & T.
    2. Select Wireless in the myAT & T tab at the top of the page.
    3. Select my phone/device.

    4. click on unlock the SIM card.

5 follow the instructions on the page pop up.

    Unlock the SIM card

    1. Enter the eight-digit on the phone PUK code, then press OK/Yes.

Note: Some users of Motorola phones must enter * 05 * if "enter PUK code" is not already displayed. After entering * 05 *, enter the eight digit PUK code and press OK.

    2. Select a new PIN code, then press OK/Yes.

3 re - enter the PIN code, then press OK/Yes.

    4. If the codes have been entered correctly, the phone is ready for use.

Now get rid of AT & T...

It is also possible by using an unlock code. For BlackBerry is the unlock code is also known as the MEP2 code. First you try to call the AT & T customer service. Give them the IMEI number of your BlackBerry Torch 9810. They will provide you the unlock code (MEP2) for your BlackBerry Torch 9810. But this does not always work.

Most of the carriers will give you the unlock code for your BB. Some have policies that vary from having an active account in good standing (good payment history) to have been a customer for 90 days or more. You can buy the unlock code from various suppliers. Unlock codes are unique to each BlackBerry. They cannot be used with a BB to another. Do not purchase your unlock code from a friend who has an and said that the code was for his BB. Unlock codes can last from 4 hours to 10 days to get it. A few BlackBerrys simply cannot be unlocked for various reasons: the IMEI number is not found in the RIM base, or the aircraft was a pre-release, not-to-be-sold device.

The best way to unlock your Blackberry device is buy release from a trusted provider. Search the internet for unlocking mobile phone Web sites. You will encounter a thousand websites that can do this. Choose which ever you like. Do not price comparisons and unlocking instructions. Check again the number of model-network to which your phone is locked and the IMEI number before ordering. If you have made mistakes in these details these people will never give you refund! One last thing, before ordering ask them about the conditions for a full refund in the case of an error code! Think and make a wise decision. I personally bought the code for my Blackberry 8900 curve unlock genie.com. This is because they have good reviews on most of the cell phone forums.

  • BlackBerry smartphones need help to get my 9800 Smartphone will start normally

My Black Berry Torch Smartphone stard with this message: Eception reception: java.lang. Execption error then Uncought: registry of applications. wait as the time-out (0xf405d42294c6940e) and eventually App error 603 so I can't access options.

How can I get the resolution of the question?

You did a restart? Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  • BlackBerry smartphones need help im a beginner

Hi people I just got my new blackberry bold9900, that I got this phone privatley and not through a service provider, im using only this on vodafone but I can't seem to get my personal hotmail account setup ask me password for activation? people are saying about bis? I have a package with vodafone 600mins unlimited texts and 500 MB of data but I have the sock of blackberry, I thought it's only if you want to use bbm and have a blackberry e-mail account? you have to pay extra for your staff from hotmail emails? I don't want to pay the 5 pounds in a month because I would not use the bbm and email I just want my "BOLD" in order to receive my hotmail email thanks in advance

You can only configure email on your 9900 accounts if you have BIS.  Let me explain further.

BIS, or BlackBerry Internet Service is a service provided by BlackBerry through your operator that allows the use of BlackBerry technology.  A feature of this technology is 'push' mail.  Once you have BIS on your account, your phone will set itself up so that emails from your Hotmail account will be 'pushed' on your phone.  This means that when the Hotmail server receives an email from your account, BIS will be send to your phone almost immediately.  If your phone does not detect BIS on your account, it does not allow you the option to set up your Hotmail account emails pushed in the.

However, don't worry if you don't want to spend the extra money for the BIS.  You can always connect to your Hotmail account on your phone to check the updates, but you will need to do this manually, your phone doesn't send emails automatically.

I hope this clears things up for you.  Please post back with any other questions you have.
