BlackBerry Smartphones Priv sold to Canada (STV100-1) Will have the charge wireless?

Will the blackberry Priv strong of ShopBlackberry.ca, and other Canadian retailers like NCIX, CenDirect.com, crackberry.com, etc. have wireless charging?

There a lot of conflicting information on this subject, STV100-1 listed on the US lists of ShopBlackberry.com wireless as a characteristic of load. But on the ShopBlackberry Canada, it is not listed as a feature. But those who took the floor at the ShopBlackberry sales representatives said that they are the same, and indeed there load wireless.

I talked to the two other retailers, and they do not now have if they phones they got would be a wireless charging or not.

We could please some official words on it.

Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv Wireless charging

I just read that the Blackberry Priv sold by companies to the Canada has no wireless charge.  This is my first Blackberry phone and I bought it because it seemed that it is an amazing phone, but also because I wanted to support a Canadian company.  When I read the card, he said he had the support wireless but now I find this is not the case. I got Samsung phones for years and the new include Wireless charging.  I was ready for a higher price for the Priv because I liked the features - and most of all it IS A COMPANY OF CANADA!

I already have the phone... I am able to negotiate that has wireless charging.   I'm feeling a little ripped off the coast that this has not been stated when I bought the phone - because it's an important feature that has been removed from phones sold in the Canada.  I can't understand why a Canadian company would do it quietly to Canadian customers.

So my question once again; Can I return Priv I just buy and get a BlackBerry directly who is responsible wireless?

PS - I love the private (but all models must have a wireless charging for the price we paid)

  • Click on the screen blackBerry Smartphones PRIV

I just got a new unlocked AT & T PRIVATE today on Amazon, and the screen makes a rattling noise when they are hit.  On the web, there are a lot of people reporting a similar issue, suggesting turn the phone to try to fix it.  This has not worked for me.

Is it just a matter of getting a bad or a phone that has not been produced recently? Or PRIVs all will have this problem, even if they are not immediately, because of poor design or manufacturing?

    Hello

Not all PRIVATE have this problem, but there is no way to predict the outcome for you. Your best bet is to contact free support of PRIVATE formal BB:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv: Updated Android OS how much?

    Hello.

I am interested in buying a Blackberry priv.

However, the Android OS updates are important to me.

I see the Priv comes with L and is now extensible m. of specific plans to provide N for the Priv?

Well if it takes until next year some time. But to find out what it certainly is, frankly, the difference between buying an or not.

Any info, guess or otherwise he rejoice greatly

As a side note, I believe that there is a gap in the market here for Blackberry. At the current stage, Apple are always updated the OS on their phones/tablets dating back to 2012 (iPhone 5). Four years of OS updates! The closest I've seen in the world Android is the features of Google that are guaranteed three versions of Android - that they ship with and two other + security updates.

If Blackberry could match updates features of Google (at least three) or even better, to match Apple, Blackberry Android device to its original investment seems excellent quality / price.

    What are your thoughts?

No, Google just guarantee 24 months of updates of new major versions of Android. A friend uses a Nexus 5 without brand, but will I not Nougat Android. It receives security updates (and about 1-2 weeks before I get them on DTEK50), but we are both using Marshmallow for the moment.

Another thing to consider is the fact that "Powered by Android BlackBerry" is not original Google Android. They have made many changes to make it much safer. It must first be converted to the new version of Android before it can be published. Waiting for Alcatel operate on the DTEK50 (which is almost an Idol 4) won't be enough. Updated the PRIV is even more complex because no partner will help the material part of the new programming software.

  • Opinion and experience blackBerry Smartphones Priv

I have just been offered a lot of things on a private with a contract of 2 years on Bell (Canada) - I like her look, feel, and build the device but did not work or had comments from other users...

So before I sign up a map of two years... any who would care to share their user experience on things like ease of use, security updates, using the software Android etc etc.

Any valid opinion from real users (not word of mouth) would be greatly appreciated.

Although this site is excellent for maintenance problems, I suggest going to CrackBerry.com and visit the private forums.  you will find people out there who love and hate the camera see both sides.

If you decide to search on the Internet for comments, I suggest the search only to those who have reviewed or updated their review for AFTER THAT the massive updated dec 7.

It's my first Android device and I've never owned an iPhone and this is my opinion:

I like the customization of Android.  If there is something you want your private to do, there will be an app for that.  The problem is that there are so many apps in the choices it can be overwhelming.  The hub is missing compared to the BB10 but it works well enough for me. This leads me to say that in regards to ease of use, the Priv is VERY easy to use if you take your time to find the right combination of applications to do what you want.  It may take you a few days or even weeks of game on internet/forum/store of research before you find the applications you need, but well worth the effort.

From what I've heard, coming from a PKB BB10, you will have problems of adaptation to the PKB Priv, but if you give it some time, you get used to it.  I'm a Z30 to Priv, the PKB last I had was for a long time with the cursor of the torch.

If you are using BES or ActiveExchange there are a few problems, you will need to browse the forums to find those.

I have nothing to say regarding the security that I've never been hacked before EVER on any phone, so this phone seems as secure as any other so far.

That said, there is always something things BB10 with its native applications that I still can not properly replicated on Android. I have used my many Z30 for audio and video with my BT headset and I love how easy to use applications BB10 stocks were.  You cannot use the private volume buttons to change track.  One thing that REALLY miss me on Priv BB10 did was when I had apps music and video open, when I press play on my BT button, the video player would play while he was in the foreground.  Moreover, if the screen is locked or the video player was in the background, my BT headset controlled music.  In my mind, it's so simple yet so genius.  Also, I liked being able to respond to toast notifications directly by tapping it on BB10, against the opening of the application by tapping on a toast in Android.  I know there are a few applications that you can answer to toast notifications, but they are pretty ugly compared to BB10.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv autorotation setting returns to portrait when the phone is turned off

I like to keep the orientation of the phone to turn but will not hold the adjustment.  I change the setting for automatic rotation whenever I turn on the camera, but once I got disabling the phone setting goes back to the Portrait.  I have other Android devices, and I have a Z10 and Q10 and never had to put auto-rotation once.  I've been foolling around during almost two weeks now with the support of BB and all I get is an evasive.  (They answer as I am stupid and do not know the difference between the two icons.)  I changed the quick setting of parameters and display, it always comes back to portrait when the phone is off.  Does anyone have ideas on this?

Hmmm... Well, I don't remember what is happening for me with this exact same build. All I can do is recommend you try again with formal support... something is wrong if she does that.

Or, if you don't want to talk to them, another thing, you could try the BBVE app, to see if he can identify any problems:

Otherwise, this has always been like that? If this isn't the case, then what has changed just before everything started? A new application? An update of a certain type? Something else? Think very carefully that the smallest thing could be causal.

In addition, the only thing I can recommend is a reload of the OS, using what I call the "skeleton" procedure, in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Via the autoloader, load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv screen ripples

    Hello!

Just got my new... Private BlackBerry a few days ago and noticing something weird with the screen, under the Sun, it seems to have ripples, or the creases in it rather than be a surface flat.  It is difficult to capture on camera, but I managed to get a picture where you can see sort.

    http://imgur.com/a/7q8se

Keep in mind these are much more sensitive to the Sun and seen with the eyes.  In the circle from the bottom, you can see a straight horizontal line.  Upstairs, he gets little wavy and it's like that in the entire upper part.  There are also a few ripples in the bottom.    There is also folds that run from the top of the phone down in the Center who only sees in the image.  I understand that this screen is difficult to see in the direct light of the Sun.  Is not the issue I'm having, the image appears distorted in full sun in fact because of those ripples.

I would like to know if this is normal or if someone else has experienced.

ANY comment is useful please also advise if you don't have this problem.

    Thank you

I think it's normal, as you say, clear direct light from the Sun.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv - connection to the computer as a drive with cable...

You can connect the Priv a PC with the cable to access as a drive, especially for access to the SD card?   I had assumed would be immediate, easy, but the laptop does just not see it connected...?

    Some good news.

Finally, I can get it to connect, but better as "Mount SD card", do not use Android file transfer.

Certainly, there are only going to transfer different files Android app link provided in the MTP option in the phone under settings, buffer, top right options - USB connection to the computer, I had to kind of work, but I think it's a one-way arrangement therefore does not allow fiddling with files or data on the SD card.

With the option of mounting SD, its worth knowing that the phone is not yet recognized, you need to pass options while its connected, so when switching back to Mount SD, it appears suddenly!

I managed to move some files autour, and if I drop in the DCIM folder, Camera leader, they then appear within the app Photos, without the need to got to the unit records.

Is worth knowing when you're connected, more, but not all of them simply disappear with the handset, but all are in their proper place, moved or otherwise, 30 seconds or more after the disconnection.

Question NEXT, related to this, but could start anew thread; In my photos, I always kept a photograph or a scan of my passport, driving licence and stuff, amazing how much it is useful.  Priv does not read this map file, even if its same region in Photos.  The Passport can be pdf, is it possible to move files between the laptop and Priv autour so that it can read the docs and other things or is it possible to create a file on the SD card where the docs can be submitted and read by the priv...?  Indeed, where are the docs on Priv?  Ive schedules of my son on the map, but they do not seem to appear anywhere in the private and they are the .docx files.

    Thank you.
