BlackBerry smartphones, receiving the old Messages

Hello.

I use Blackberry "BOLD" with the AT & T network.

And using BIS.

Sometimes I get old emails.  Is there any solution for this?

Lol that's an odd hiccups in the system. Is there nothing to do than spend.

It's been a while, but a year or two ago, I got about 500-600 old messages for six months, a week later, about 800.

I thought that my BlackBerry would explode. There can be no.

  • BlackBerry smartphones RECEIVES the MAILS to FOLDERS other than Inbox

    Hello world

I have this problem that I'm trying to work around. On my yahoo mail, I've created rules for certain categories of emails coming. These rules to move messages that meet the criteria for folders that I created.

Now I have yahoo mail configured on my blackbery device but not to receive emails from other folders. All I get is emails that appear in my main Inbox folder.

Through the settings on my phone and can't find an option or a setting that can help me solve this problem.

    Ideas anyone?

    * I'm using BIS service

    Hello

using BIS, it's the processing order:
    1 your Y! mail server receives e-mails
2 your Y! mail server applies the rules
3 your Y! mail server sends messages from the Inbox to your server of BIS
4 your BIS server sends the emails to your BlackBerry smartphone

Therefore, there is no way to do what you want using Yahoo!.

I can suggest you see if it is possible to have the rules applied subsequently (I don't think it's possible with the electronic mail of Yahoo!).

If you want to automatically move messages into folders and have them on your device, you must use an e-mail provider that allows it. To this day, I know Microsoft Exchange can (in a corporate environment) and Google Mail (because the records are considered labels).

  • Question of blackBerry Smartphones on the old device PIN to a new transfer

    Hello
    I have a problem
I have a beautiful and unique phone number
But the device is too old it Bold 9000, and I want him to become a figure in the new device like the blackberry torch 9810

I want to solve this problem.

    Thank you

Huh, you want "him to become a figure in the new device"? What is of the him, your old PIN number?

If the "him" is your PIN, you should know that pine BlackBerry can be transferred from a device, they are unique identifiers that are hard coded to the unit at the factory.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is the BBM message for real?

I just got this forwarded to me BBM message: Message from Jim Balsamic (CEO of RIM Blackberry), we had a use of usernames on Blackberry Messenger. We ask all users to convey this message to their entire contact list. If you do not forward this message, we will take that your account is not valid and it will be removed in the next 48 hours. Please DO NOT ignore this message or blackberry will recognize is no longer your PIN. If you want to reactivate your account once it has been deleted, a supplement of 25.00 will be added to your monthly bill. We are also aware of the question about updates of photos does not appear. We are working diligently to solve this problem and it will be operational as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation. It's for real? I noticed that recognize was spelled wrong and it just doesn't seem to make sense, but who knows more? I don't know even how to transfer a message through BBM surveys if I wanted to. Don't know what to do with it. Any help that anyone can give would be much appreciated! :-)

ajhaes, Hello and welcome to the forum.

    1. this same question was asked in the forum here dozens of times.

    2. the (not CEO) co-CEO of RIM is named Jim Balsillie, not balsamic (which is a years vinegar made in Italy); Second, the name of the company is blackBerry, not blackberry, and finally if you think that RIM monitors your BlackBerry Messenger messages about whether or not you re - send this message, don't you think THAT RIM could read all your messages? You would put in place with that?

    3. don't you currently get a bill from BlackBerry to which they can add 25.00 to? Users are normally charged by their mobile provider, not RIM or BlackBerry.

    So, what do you think?

Solution? Remove the user from your BBM contacts who was stupid enough to send you the message.

  • BlackBerry smartphones erase the 'New Messages' icon for Blackberry Messenger

My Blackberry is configured to use Enterprise and our company does not allow access to BlackBerry Messenger (saying it is blocked by the company policy message if I try to run it). It's all right, I didn't want to hack the system, however, it seems that someone tried to send me a few messages using what I have an icon on the screen before showing 7 pending messages.

Is there a way I can delete these, or disable the icon, without being able to access the Messenger? I keep thinking that I have new messages or text messages in waiting!

    See you soon

OK, so if you are doing a new installation (use your browser to go to www.blackberry.com/messenger) and install the application again, it now appears under modules, and THEN you can click to uninstall it.

Thus, MMS messages require a directory of services for the transport of the data of the message part. Sometimes they are damaged.

Look on your device, Options > Advanced > Service books. Find a Transport named MMS and press Menu > delete.

Now, you want to return your Service books, of your Verizon site.

1 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books.

  • BlackBerry smartphones receives hundreds of Messages of data reporting Blackberry

I'm spending businesses andmy new company does not BES, but I want to keep my 8820.  I have transferred all my contacts to MS Outlook to my new laptop with Desktop of RIM Manager and configured my Gmail calendars and email to sync via Google Synch and IMAP respectively.  Everything seems to work, except that I get hundreds of messages below.  I have read the advice and uninstalled RIM Desktop Manager and re-installed using the BIS settings, but am still getting a lot of these redirect messages.

No idea how to disable?  They fill my Inbox on my phone and my email address.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones untrapped Exception error messages

    Hi nGuys,

I was sent an email with a large attachment with it and now I can't access my emails or send texts?

Whenever I try, I am presented with this error message: -.

"Eception exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception' and an 'OK' button."

When I click this, (in the vain hope that everything will be OK from here in, it disconnects from the app and I'm at square one!)

That's why making the phone useless.

When I contacted Blackberry support, it says that he does not know of "Eception exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception'?"

Little help would be greatly appreciated: -.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

There may be a code updated to the value of the carrier - check out them through this Portal:

The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type "lglg". (You won't see anything as you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably a lot of pages) until you see a line that says "eception execption. Click on this line. The application name will be in the info. Alternative methods to implement the newspapers are in this KB:

    • KB05349 How to activate, view, and extract the the event logs on a BlackBerry smartphone

The other method is to remove the apps one at a time, wait a while between the two (I usually recommend a week), until the problem stops... revealing the offending application. Yet another method is to recharge the BB OS itself, leaving little time between the addition of other applications on the BB in order to be able to determine exactly what is the cause.

That's an interesting statement... exactly how did you get that? As in, who did you call? RIM offers zero support to front line for BBs... only via the escalation of a carrier can you receive free support from RIM. You go through your carrier?

Good luck and let us know!

  • Thunderbird guard receives the same message.

On an old desktop PC, always under XP with AVG free antivirus. I let my AVG computer can be updated at night. All of a sudden Thunderbird had received the same message over 200 times. It took a while to remove them all, and now I must leave off Thunderbird so it will not continue to receive this message. It is a message from my sister that contains a few attached images, photos from his camera, and the webmail message appears only once. I change not all configurations, except after this problem started, updated to Thunderbird 31.6.0 to 31.7.0. Any ideas?

Try to remove the message via webmail or move it to a different folder on the server.
It is highly unlikely that the update of TB is the cause. It is more likely Avast is playing with Thunderbird files.
So the Thunderbird profile folder should not be scanned by anti-virus software.

  • Bugs blackBerry smartphones? the 9810 torch?

    Hello

I've been playing with my new torch 9810 and now the battery seems to be draining like crazy (up to 10% after having just three hours hanging out, not a single call done) - and some programs play AND I get a message indicating that the camera photo and video camera are in use although I'm not using the.

Is there a virus on this thingy? -How do I know? has someone hijacked my camera to spy on me?

a little paranoid, hoping for help!

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.
