Bugs blackBerry smartphones? the 9810 torch?

Hello

I've been playing with my new torch 9810 and now the battery seems to be draining like crazy (up to 10% after having just three hours hanging out, not a single call done) - and some programs play AND I get a message indicating that the camera photo and video camera are in use although I'm not using the.

Is there a virus on this thingy? -How do I know? has someone hijacked my camera to spy on me?

a little paranoid, hoping for help!

Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • BlackBerry smartphones how get torch home screen just show no apps when the menu bar is closed?

Please bear with me, I'm struggling with how to explain cela ha ha!

On the homescreen torch, you tap the 'all' downstairs bar to view the full menu. When you touch the bar once again it closes the application menu.

When I got the torch the menu, when closed, displays only a row of 4 applications (SMS, browser, etc.) but I must have pressed something without knowing or changed a setting if it showed no apps at all, when I closed the menu. I preferred this as I love the home screen just show the background on the phone and not cluttered.

However, it has changed back recently and is now showing TWO rows of apps now not even one! and cannot for the life of figure me out how to change it back?

    Thanks to all who help!

Simply touch and drag down to the bottom of the screen. You will then see just the arrow ^ (you can change this way of 0 to 3 lines of icons). Then, when you tap on the bar with the arrow, you will get your full screen, the icons back.

  • Database of blackBerry Smartphones the address book not available for synchronization

... "For help to resolve this problem, refer to KB19454 in the Knowledge Base of Blackberry Desktop Manager".

I did, and it says this:

Cause 1: the BlackBerry smartphone does not contain the PIM application you are trying to synchronize with. For example, the screenshot above error has occurred as a result of the application of tasks is not installed on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Then, of course the BlackBerry has the address book app installed, and if it wasn't the cause.  I followed some of the sons of other related expenses and came up with nothing.

I synced before - first time that successfully, this worked great, the second time that he kept failing, so I changed the setting to REPLACE my address book on the BlackBerry each sync, who has worked several times, and now this.

    GRRRR... of ideas?

Worked like a champ, with the only exception to the process.  When I looked at my address book to the end, he had more than one entry for each record.  So I went back to the process, but this time, before you reconnect and resynchronize, I deleted manually additional entries - for some reason, they were still there, even though I "erased" address book information!  I'm guessing that these entries were originally a part of the problem.  Anyway, once deleted I've reconnected, resynced ' by replacing ' content of the BB for the address book - and now I have great 2-way synchronization job. • BlackBerry Smartphones The JVM 102 error with a touch...

If I get the dreaded error 102 Reset JVM on my Pearl 8130.  I've searched the forums and the common suggested solution is to connect the blackberry to the computer and run the application loader in Desktop Manager.  I downloaded the latest version of DM and have downloaded the software later exploitation of my provider's site.  When I start the application loader, it shows my PIN and request a password for my device.  I still can't remember a password.  So I tried everything I can think of.  No matter what password I put in the list of applications is rising and I take what I want to load.  When I click on "Finish", after a minute or two to try to connect to my blackberry, I get this message:

"The desktop charger is unable to connect to the device.  You may need to enter the password on the device. »

The problem is that I can never remember set a password for this phone in DM.  So I have no idea what password they might require.  I tried my standard password for everything, "blackberry", my phone number and tried without password.  The password is still here?  Any help would be greatly appreciated I feel cut off from the world without my blackberry (I know, it's a problem).  Thank you!

I thought about it!  The first thing I did was to download the latest versions of the software of the device (something Verizon 4.3) and Office Manager (v. 4.5).  As ever, I remembered having to enter a password before, I uninstalled 4.5 and redownloaded the previous Director of office version 4.3.  He never asked a password and I was able to reload applications and we're back running.  I lost all my contacts from phone, but better than having to pay $50 for a new franchise!  Thanks for all the help.

Depends on accuracy method you use... as a general rule, your PC must be connected to the Internet, but it does not matter that your BB is connected to (well, it needs to be connected to the PC, of course).

There is no such thing as too many questions here...

You can also benefit from BBSAK (BBSAK.ORG)... that is a good utility to attempt to recover a BB of. You will have to experiment a lot, though, to try to connect your BB to your PC/USB just at the right time in the boot sequence (as the loading bar progresses) in order so that it can be recognized and allow you to proceed.

Spadaccino, please turn off your key ALL uppercase.

  • BlackBerry smartphones how update torch 9810 roger

Please tell me how can I update my phone I tried it on for blackberry Desktop Manager, but it is said that active blackberry seriver is required for I don't know what to do? Please help me... i'm new user for blackberry

Your questions can probably be related to the same thing... the absence of a BB data plan appropriate to your mobile service provider. Installation of certain levels of OS request subscription to a plan... the advice that is given above allows you to bypass this restriction. Many owners BB services require subscription to a data plan appropriate... that are missing, you may not use these services, even if via WiFi only. A BB without a good data plan BIS-level is a device very difficult indeed.

    Good luck!

  • Synchronization of blackBerry Smartphones my BB Torch 9800 with the Microsoft Outlook calendar

I am very frustrated.  My BB Torch does not synchronize with Microsoft Outlook calendar.  I get the 0x8004fd28 error message and it will transfer all the entries.  I'm not a technical person very media, so I would like easy to understand instructions on what to do.  As far as I know, my mobile device and software are updated to newer versions.  I've only been able to synchronize both times - when I first got the phone 6 months ago.  Thank you for your help.

    Welcome to the forums, melora!

First of all, we will make sure that your browser by e-mail and the calendar entries are the same e-mail that you configured in Outlook.

On your home screen, click the Options icon.  From there, go to device > Adanced configuration > default Services.  Check if those who correspond to your Outlook email address.

Then you'll want to do a clean Desktop Manager uninstall.  Make sure you restart your PC after that you did.

Then you will reinstall the Desktop Manager software, you can get here.

Once you have installed new, go here for instructions on how to configure Desktop Manager to synchronize with Outlook.  You'll want to scroll through the instructions for DM 6.0 and higher.

    I hope this helps!

    help please

    Hello

Please clarify - you nave never installed all Desktop software? If so, that would prevent using BBSAK or JLCmder... both require the basic BB drivers must be installed and those that are installed on your PC during the installation of the desktop software. Therefore, the installation of the desktop software is a prerequisite for the use of any other utility.

Good luck and let us know!
