BlackBerry smartphones restore original OS BB9780

I would like to know if it is possible to restore my phone how I initially got it, with an older operating system, and how could I do that, and it is possible to upgrade the operating system before you reinstall all applications, without using the BB Desktop Manager, because I think that doing it this way will be beneficial for the issues I'm having now.

Thank you... Kate

What I would recommend you do is to wipe the device and reload the OS, which version you choose to install.

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

BBSAK, allows you to clean the appliance. Here is the link: http://bbsak.org/

Now, for the operating system's simple installation instructions:
First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.
http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

After complete, you can now use the Desktop software > device > restore and restore your data to the BlackBerry.

Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones restored, but no posted Messages

I have a Curve 9360 with OS 7.1. I did a restore of message from a full backup. 529 posts restore was completed successfully. But I opened the mailbox appeared empty, withou a single message. Through the Blackberry Desktop Software, in the option "Erase data from device", confirmed that the restoration was made because the aircraft had 529 messages. But no one is shown. I appreciate the help.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... ( Please wait for this before moving on to the next step) :

    (1) registry HRT

    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

See if that allows the messages now.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones restore contacts BBM BB7 after using the BB10

After testing a device BB10 (hot stuff!), I am now switching to my old camera BB7 (Bold 9900). I activated my Blackberry ID on the original device, but my BBM contacts are not restored.

It's the same BB9900 that I used before, so all existing contacts are there, however, if I have messages one contact, I get the error message: "X is you as a contact. You want to re - invite X? »

Thus, it has no restore option in the Options menu.

How can I restore my BBM contacts on my older BB7 device?

    Thank you!

When switch it on my BB7, I was prompted for my Blackberry ID quickly, but he was not invited to swap devices for some reason any. Subsequently, there is no option in BBM to restore my contacts list.

    Resolution:

I already had the latest BBM so I downloaded the latest beta version of BBM on the Blackberry beta Zone. I've been invited "this feature requires a Blackberry ID" for the voice of BBM, who then got to configure my Blackberry id I was then able to choose switching devices. Now, I have all my BBM contacts on my BB7.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones restore phone again?

I bought a Blackberry curve 8520, thinking he had a GPS function. It's not, so I decided to move to a 9300 series. I downloaded and installed a few applications have many tasks, contacts and appointments in sync with my desktop computer and don't want to lose anything.

I made a backup with the Desktop Manager. It will transfer everything to the new phone when I get it back tomorrow?

How to restore the backup old phone to the new? Should what information I write on paper that won't be available when I turn in the old phone?

I'd better take my laptop with me and follow the instructions on page 14 of the Quickstart manual bit supplied with the 8520?

    Kind regards

Hello and welcome to the forums!

I suggest that you just use the device switch Wizard in Office Manager. Connect your old phone to your PC, open DM, click the switch of the device, and follow the prompts on the screen. It will transfer everything on the new phone. He could not transfer the apps if they are not compatible (or even at all, I don't remember), but if it's apps was purchased through appworld you should be able to download again to your new phone free of charge.

  • BlackBerry smartphones restore Conact on the new curve using back to the top of the old

My wifes 3G curve died this weekend and she's getting her a new today. I was wonding if I can restore its contacts (address book and BBM) through the switch device Wizard in Office Manager?

If it is 'dead' as you say it and does not turn on, it'll be pretty hard using the switch device Wizard. However, this method is ideal.

Now, she a recent backup of the old device, it would have done using the Desktop software or she uses her BlackBerry Protect on his old device?

If it has a backup, it can use Desktop software > device > restore and the system should select the most recent backup, or you can perform a search to find and set it to restore it on the new device, all contacts, messages, calendar, etc.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones restore backup old phone to new phone

Please correct me if I'm wrong...

I had blackberrys for ever.  About 50% of the time I got the phone because I damaged the previous.  I often have backups of any phone, but would never be able to restore the backup to the new.  Rarely, I had the chance to do the switch/phone method 'transfer '.  There must be a way to make this switch from backup?  In general all my emails and contacts were from a BES server - so not a problem.  - But the media, applications, all parameters should be set or downloaded manually again.

Please tell me I missed something that exists.

OK, it did not work for me.

What is this app? Did you uninstall it already?

You can do a Security wipe on your device (this will remove ALL your data, a backup is important)

I suggest to fix the problem first before considering a security wipe.
