  I have the Torch 9800 and use all my text plan on family members and friends from across the Atlantic.  I prefer to use my package data unlimited (the old $30 one) than my text plan.   Anyone has suggestions/input that IM app for BB uses data & also allows the Facebook chat?  Remember that not all people with that I keep in touch can download/use IM apps, so some will respond to me by text message internationally... which means that if it cost me, it will always cost an arm & a leg, and these costs will have a drastic effect on our communication. :-)  Yah, basically so I need something that will not exhaust my package of text, while being affordable for the international recipient.  Make sense?

  Well the most obvious choice is BBM (if they have a Blackberry) or by e-mail. Both are strictly data.

  Now I just took some AT & T info and found this.

  Has anyone tried to load the mobile application of citibank in their storm. The app is available for a certain number of other blackberries, but the storm is not listed. I was just wondering if it would work for the storm, even though she is not yet listed as being supported.

  So, I tried to download by giving a different phone model. I received a message on the handheld which says that the storm didn't is currently not supported. Don't think it exists yet for the 9530 bummer!

  When you browse songs in Media Player, you are browsing what's called the hidden media. What you see are pointers to the actual file.

  In some cases, the cache may be corruptedand in some cases there are several pointers that point to the same file. That's why you see double entries.

  When you remove an entry, do you two things:

  • you delete the actual file
  • you delete this specific pointer.

  you end up with the another pointer that points to nothing. This is the reason why you can not play the song.

  What is nice about the cache, is that it contains all the important data. There are just to make the application faster media. The best way for you now is to have the cache destroyed and recreated.

  It is very easy if your songs are located on a multimedia card: just remove the media card and reinsert it. This will destroy the cache of media. At the launch of the media player, it reads all the content of the media card and recreate cache media. You will see then is the list of files available to be read.

  If you have a Google account, yes it is.

  You will need a data plan to transfer the pictures, that's what they call in.

  I just installed MailMinder 2.0 and it works very well... when the phone is UNLOCKED. But, as soon as the phone is locked, it is worth nothing... and I want my money.

  You can use the firewall device or filters to block e-mail that you don't want on the devcie.

  Hi, I have a MacBook and a BlackBerry Pearl 8100.  I have e-mail capabilities on my BlackBerry, but not the internet connection.  I have 182 photos on my BlackBerry I would add to my library in iPhoto on my Mac, but would prefer really do not have to send myself one at a time.  I have the "PocketMac for BlackBerry" app on my computer to sync my address book, etc., using a USB connection, but cannot find a way to download the photos by using this method.

  Does anyone know how to get these photos on my Mac in a relatively easy way?  Without the ability to download via USB, can someone tell me how to select multiple photos to send in an email?

  Yes, I remember that Rogers has a single plan by e-mail.

  You can select four files to be attached to an e-mail to me.

  -Compose e-mail

  -Menu > attach a file

• BlackBerry smartphones, why do I need an app for some Web pages?

  Please forgive me, because I am a new owner of BB.  I don't understand why I need apps for certain things (Pandora, LogMeIn, etc.).  Here are the sites I want to visit using the browser.  If I was using my computer at home, I would just connect to my Pandora account.  No software has been downloaded (that I remember).  So why can't just visit the Web page of my BB?  I understand if I want to use a real program (Word, Excel, etc.) that the software must be downloaded beforehand, but I only visit a Web page...   But your BlackBerry is not a complete PC, not the same processor fast, etc., and not the same data entry speed, so an application on the device help to 'manage' the spped and debit date on the mobile device by buffereing entry and be simply 'more effective' you can use the device.

  I have a no three (three being the United Kingdom Mobile phone network) Blackberry Pearl 9105 which is GSM (unlocked), however, will be able to use the Skype program, but unable to do so because of questions of implementation. The phone allows me to download the program from "Planet 3" is however impossible to open when filled with the correct user name and password.

  I was wondering what I need to do to make this work, as apparently it currently works if the phone was bought directly from the carrier/network. Is there some special parameters to be activated, and it would work without BIS.

  I need help and support if someone can. I would be eternally grateful if this could be made possible.
