BlackBerry Smartphones need EMAIL app for managing EMAILS

I just installed MailMinder 2.0 and it works very well... when the phone is UNLOCKED. But, as soon as the phone is locked, it is worth nothing... and I want my money.

in any case, can anyone recommend a MailMinder e-mail software that works with encryption?

I get a crapload of emails every day and need a way to get rid of the ones I don't want.

Thank you

You can use the firewall device or filters to block e-mail that you don't want on the devcie.

How to set up email message filters

Rule Outlook are only applied when outlook is enabled, BES will pick up messages before outlook has a chance to prosess them.

    Hello world!

I have the Torch 9800 and use all my text plan on family members and friends from across the Atlantic.  I prefer to use my package data unlimited (the old $30 one) than my text plan.   Anyone has suggestions/input that IM app for BB uses data & also allows the Facebook chat?  Remember that not all people with that I keep in touch can download/use IM apps, so some will respond to me by text message internationally... which means that if it cost me, it will always cost an arm & a leg, and these costs will have a drastic effect on our communication. :-)  Yah, basically so I need something that will not exhaust my package of text, while being affordable for the international recipient.  Make sense?

So if you have a suggestion of app (free or paid), do not hesitate to comment!  THX...

    Hiya!

Well the most obvious choice is BBM (if they have a Blackberry) or by e-mail. Both are strictly data.

Now I just took some AT & T info and found this.

SMS and instant messages sent to the international telephone numbers from the U.S. Bill at a price of $0.25 per message, and are not decremented against package data or messaging package bucket. Messages received from Bill phone numbers international to the domestic BANK or packages.

Now, that being said, I also discovered that AT & T has an international messaging package that provides to clients in the messages of 100 US for $10 per month.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

    Are you referring to Picassa?

If you have a Google account, yes it is.

You will need a data plan to transfer the pictures, that's what they call in.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, why do I need an app for some Web pages?

Please forgive me, because I am a new owner of BB.  I don't understand why I need apps for certain things (Pandora, LogMeIn, etc.).  Here are the sites I want to visit using the browser.  If I was using my computer at home, I would just connect to my Pandora account.  No software has been downloaded (that I remember).  So why can't just visit the Web page of my BB?  I understand if I want to use a real program (Word, Excel, etc.) that the software must be downloaded beforehand, but I only visit a Web page... TIA

But your BlackBerry is not a complete PC, not the same processor fast, etc., and not the same data entry speed, so an application on the device help to 'manage' the spped and debit date on the mobile device by buffereing entry and be simply 'more effective' you can use the device.

  • Installation application blackBerry Smartphones 9320 email missing Vodafone

    Hi all

I have a curve 9320 (best phone ever) using 7.1 1319 but can not get working internet mail. Info here any help would be fantastic.

-Curve 9320; Vodafone UK; Personal SIM; BIS is working like having internet on phone. new combined and had the same problem on the same model/same before the purchase SIM.

-Email Setup Application appears to be missing

-Tried to install via Desktop Manager, but cannot download the OS on internet, so impossible to reinstall; downgrade then upgrade again; or install specific app

-Managed to download a 'leak' configuration of e-mail application, but have not installed correctly.

    Source of this app:

Error I get after installing and phone restarts:

    "untrapped exception."

    java.lang.ClassCastException.

    -J' now uninstalled it

-Also tried to connect to BIS on Vodafone, that I could do, but adding the account e-mail address here does not insist on it on the phone

-NB is a "hotmail" email address  I logged on Outlook online (ie. new name for Hotmail) and "enabled the synchronization of POP."  There were other options to set and I've never had to do this in the past.

    Yes, I looked here! -

Seems there are two routes - try to get the installed application and works; and get email works "via the device browser" (don't know exactly what it means the latter).

Vodafone has failed to return the telephone directories - surprising alone is sufficient.  This seems to be a way out for me.  I have to just get email configuration app works.

TBH, I think it's the best phone ever made because it has great physical keyboard; long battery life; is not to touch and smooth corners. Little surprised does not I don't see how anyone could afford a new fancy phone every 2 years!

Don't see how it could be a problem of system of Vodafone/Blackberry as surely several 9320 users using internet messaging with vodafone United Kingdom - some hotmail.

Looking forward to hear whatever it is, any help would be fantastic!

Hello and welcome to the community!

You tried not bad... well way... but here is the key:

    NF64 wrote:

It is not a red herring... the Service books are required. Legacy devices BBOS do not have a client application of full e-mail on them, they demand BIS in order to work for the email, and Service on the device books is a requirement for the functionality. Therefore, if Vodafone did not send Service directories, then something is very wrong... but, if the problem is their network, only they can look deep into it. Until the SBs exist on your device, it is useless to try whatever it is about the configuration of e-mail... the SBs are a sine qua non closed.

Here a very important question that you ask them - is your device model specific fully supported by their network for automatic filling of HRT and service book? No carrier BB support all models... each carrier chooses their subset of models to support on their network. With BBOS legacy, you can use specific models that are fully compatible with the carrier network for the automatic receiving HRT and notebook entries maintenance. Reference:

If they tell you that your device is not supported by their network, then you're done... inconsistent is not compatible. Period.

If they tell you that your device is supported by their network, then you will need them to dig deeper and determine why they are not able to send the inputs required to your device. Once again, only they can look deep into their network to determine why this cannot work properly. Nobody here has such access. In addition, only your carrier can escalate your case until BB officially if additional assistance is required... you have no channel to do (well, not for free).

There are many possibilities as to why it does not work for you... all here, we can do is guess at those. Here are a few possible assumptions:

    1. As noted above, your device is incompatible with their network
    2. Your device is listed as reported lost or stolen
    3. Your device has a BIS account running on another carrier... If so, then Vodafone will not be able to create an account for her in their system of BIS.

There are other possibilities, but I think you get the drift. What is a key issue for you - how to acquire this device? If there was a camera formerly, numbers 2 or 3 in the list above may be even more possible.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry smartphones address email and password

My Blackberry Torch was stolen recently.  Now that I got my new camera and everything seemed to work OK.  I received emails addressed to it and who is "pushed".  I tried to download an app and had my Blackberry ID need I entered.  She would not accept my new password - so I asked to reset - but the email they were supposed to be sent to my blackberry address did not!  Does anyone have ideas, what can I do now?

Oh okay Ouch, the using the blackberry.net email account is not good. These emails cannot be found or read any where, but on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Personally, I never recommend using blackberry.net for this main reason e-mail accounts.

My best suggestion is to get a gmail or yahoo account for free and create a whole new BlackberryID.

Then, call your mobile operator Orange and ask them to bring this problem to RIM level two level tech support and get your old account merged or moved to the new BlackBerryID.

Yes, it's complicated. But it's the only way I see possible... all this because of the password reset. Yuck, indeed.

  • BlackBerry® Smartphones personal email and corporate email

I'm new on my blackberry and I currenlty has my phone set in place for e-mail professionals thorugh my BES work.  Y at - it a separate free app which will alow full access to my personal email (yahoo, gmail or ISP) who will not mix to my application 'messages' to work and won't be visible or by my BES work?  Thanks for your help.

all go through your data plan on the carrier... including your Bes... the messages icon is not BES. BES uses the MESSAGES icon.

Gmail makes an app that can be installed that will get your email, then you need not attached to your BIS, so he's not going to your MESSAGES icon. As for yahoo... I had to use google to find this information that I do not use yahoo

  • BlackBerry Smartphones HTML Email 'Automatically download Images' does not work

I use the BIS service with 4 separate emails, (paid 1, 2 free on the web and 1 BB email) using a Blackberry Storm 9530 with Verizon Wireless service...

I have this setting enabled for all of my emails, to automatically download images and display in HTML... but no email no. Everyone I get I have to manually, select options and upload pictures! How can I fix this?

    Hello!

    See this KB:

It sounds like you already have the correct settings. But, at the bottom of this KB is a statement about the external link images... If the image is linked to the outside rather that integrated, you will still need to manually get the image.

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

    Thx for the help

Hello and welcome to the community!

You must uninstall all packages of BB device software from your PC. Then, install the exact OS that this BB is running on your PC:

    • KB23393 How to check the model number and the version of the BlackBerry device software on a BlackBerry smartphone

If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Then, when you run the Desktop software then connect this BB, appropriate things should appear in the AppLoader screen for her (note that, if you connect that to other BB currently displayed correctly, it does display properly since the Desktop software is substituted by the installed PC, the package of BB OS).

    Good luck!

Hold the top button until the red light. Wait through the entire boot process.
