BlackBerry Smartphones support Storm battery

My question is how many times you charge the battery of the storm? I know the lithium battery has no memory, and there is no need to drain until it is completely dead. 2 bars, or 1 bar? Common sense? My concern on prior batteries, it usually inflates upward when it is fresh too.

I have me load every night, even when he didn't need it.  Like that, it's always good to go the next day.  Also, I have the Dock of synchronization for the storm and use my storm as a secondary clock when connected (in the case where there is never a power failure).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones use Storm 2 as PDA WiFi-Connected (without telephone service)?

    RESOLVED:
See the second post in this thread for the solution (thanks to wiggler forum member)

    ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

[I know I am a "retarded" for even bringing this place, but we'll just go beyond the part and talk about what I really want to know here ]

My wife and I went to an Android (Bionic) for me and an iPhone (4 s) for her. However, his old phone (Storm 2) has recently been replaced because his former 1 storm went wrong on her... and now, since my father thought finally get something to replace his old (not to mention, broken and unusable) Palm device, we thought we might as well give him the Storm 2 and see if it'll work out for what he wants.

Here's the deal about my father and his PDA... already has a cell phone, so he won't move up to a smart phone, because he does not want to pay the extra money every month just to get a PDA phone when he probably never really use the data service much and all that.

He wants a phone just to be a phone, and he also wants a PDA... just for the PDA part.

So, I thought, very well... If he is not willing to move completely in the modern era, then we can at least give him something he can synchronize with Outlook (it works... I already tried) to have its calendar and contacts with him all the time (which it is not able to do with his simple mobile).

So what I know is that it's possible, at least in a very limited sense... I have the Storm 2 sync with Outlook.
However, here's my problem... for a reason, even if the wifi card appears to connect to the wifi here in their home access point, it is not actually get an IP address and can't get out on the internet with the browser integrated into all.

    My question is this...
Is it because it is not possible (i.e. RIM has configured to disable the card wifi within the unit while there is no mobile phone service connected), or who should run, and I should watch more in the sense of something wrong at the level of the home network?

The reason why I think that it could be something awkward like that within the device itself, it is my new Android and iPhone of the wife are able to connect to the network wireless home here very well.

Sorry for such a long thing, goofy needs help, but I thought it is a good starting point. If anyone has ideas and is willing to help, please chime.

p.s. I am a computer scientist. So I have that aspect covered... at least you do not work with a complete * beep * if you jump here.

I thought about it. I did a search on google for the specific message I saw in 'wi - fi tools' (which was "no longer valid"ip address ") and found this thread...
    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/other-BlackBerry-smartphones/IP-address-no-longer-valid/TD-p/...

The second post there (from wiggler), gave me the fix I need.
    Thank you!  :-)

  • BlackBerry Smartphones support - couldn't get my Storm 9530 to connect to Desktop Manager

    I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 I used for about 8 months.

I have the synchronize usually about once a day with Microsoft Outlook via the Desktop Manager via a USB connection.

    Today, it wouldn't sync!

The PC recognized that I had plugged so I guess that the USB cable is OK.

The bar displays "Disconnected" Office Manager and the lower left corner of the Office Watch Manager my connection as a 'none '.

If I try to sync it, a box of device connection opens asking for the PIN but I cannot type anything in the box.

I restarted the Blackberry and PC several times to see if it would solve my problem - did not work.

I also tried the other USB connections on my PC.

I have not recently loaded a new software on the PC, my antivirus software is up to date.

I've been reading through the help files and can't find anyway to reconnect.

What should I do to connect?

Do I have to reload the Desktop Manager software or?

    Thanks in advance

    Try the following-

    1. Download and install Blackberry USB and Modem drivers.
    2. Follow all the steps as shown in the link below:

  • BlackBerry smartphones is the battery of my Blackberry Bold 9900 death?

So I had this phone for about a year and a half. I'm under contract. Its been a couple of days and his agi upward.  I have fully charged aura and within 1 to 3 hours, the battery will reduce by 50%, even with minimal use. I already checked if I have programs that run in the background and nothing. I also deleted all the apps that I don't use, and that did not help either. So I decided to restart the phone thinking it was probably just a temporary problem.  Well, when we turn back, the battery has been completely drained (according to the icon on the phone), it's the Red of the battery with no bar.  So I went back and charged him and he immediately showed them was still left half battery (it literally went a half of the white battery red battery).

Whenever I plugged it in the wall, it works very well and doesn't show any problem. As soon as I use it freely is when problems occur. I had to take my charger everywhere with me for the last two days.  What is happening with my Blackberry?

Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.

This is the reason to worry, just here.  A good smartphone battery will give you a year and a half to two years of reliable service depending on usage, of course.  What we can do is eliminate it is a software problem.  Once we have eliminated that, all that remains is for you to get a new battery, knowing that yours is on its last breath.

I would like you plug your phone to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Once your phone is connected, click device at the top of the software and then restore.  Choose the most recent restore point and load it on your phone.  Once that your phone has rebooted, see if the problem persists.  If so, go out and get a new battery (or, better yet, a new phone BB10).  If the problem corrects itself, then you are welcome.

Keep us updated on your progress.

    Question

I bought this unit on 29 February. A few days later, I noticed the battery was going from 100% to 0% in a few hours, so I went in the first week to change the battery and did this and he used to work fine until a few days where the battery goes from 100% to 0% in less than an hour ago. I do use the browser and twitter a lot, but I still think that the battery must remain more than that.

    Any ideas?

  • Japanese language of blackBerry Smartphones support issues

I just had a 8120 from Rogers in canada and am curious to know if it has Japanese language support. I can't find any info in the manual of junk of Rogers. The company that I work is a Canadian subsidiary of a Japanese company, so a lot of my email of bosses is in Japanese. I did a search through the forums and through the support database perfectly useless. The results of the search of the database of support exist mainly press without any useful technical details which I find exceptionally delayed.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if a specific model has asian language support is available preinstalled in canada? Maybe a telus or bell phone. Since the messages of the forum by people are not displayed when they find a solution for the problem, otherwise it is not a fix for the lack of support from the Japanese language.

So my Japanese cobbled together install language does the work. I got my boss to send me some messages in Japanese and they came through properly. So my language pack install worked.

Here is the content of the ALX file to launch your own support of the Japanese police.  I've also used these files of three fonts of Indonesian blackberry IDEOGRAM software installation package.

So many people understand my background. I'm not a programmer on any level, so it was not simple or easy for me to understand because I don't know anything on the blackberry OS.

I assumed it would be a good place to find this extra level of support provided by telus or rim. Of course, I was wrong to think that the people here were all useful information to share. So I'll share what I've learned to try to lead by example. Maybe if other people have done the same thing this forum could turn into what I thought I was going to find when I came here to help.

the only exception is if recharge you using the USB port AND you use your device as USB mass storage.
