• BlackBerry Smartphones phone crashes when the media card is on the phone

  I had my phone for a few weeks.  I have a 4 GB card that I had in my phone for over a week.  Now it freezes up when the card is in the phone.  Once I take the card the phone works very well.  Any ideas of what I could in fact?

  I had not upgraded the operating system, but I had added a photo that must have been great.  I took the card on the phone and removed the photo on the card in the Desktop Manager.  When I put the card in the phone it seems to work fine now.

  Peripheral is installed last BB Desktop Manager and Roxio BB9000 to manage image files that initially, I got 5 photos loaded into the BB9000 and could see very well in the media, photos, images, I then took 2 pictures with the camera BB9000 and saved. They came very well in all the images in media, photos, I then used Roxio, launched from the BB Desktop Manager to remove these 2 photos of the BB9000 and everything seemed to be fine as Roxio showed the 5 original images as present in the home, user, file photo when I disconnected the BB9000 and accessible Media, photos, images There are now 5 images and 2 broken icon thumbnails. Then I unplugged the USB cable and this time there are 4 icons image shattered by the media, photos, images, while the 5 original images are still all there. An image has been duplicated (called trail.jpg) and if I delete one using the BB9000, probably both will disappear but for the moment, did nothing. If I select one of the broken image in media, photos, images icons and select Remove, a prompt appears "the selected file is read-only. Are you sure you want to delete? ». By selecting Yes, does nothing. The image remains a broken image icon. How does it evolve?

  This seems to be that the actual image file has been removed, but the bbthumbs.dat file still has the image in his thumb nail index.

  With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  The media card is reserved for 'media'... as you say. Photos, videos, music, files/documents.

  You do not want to move your contacts to your SIM card, because the SIM card is designed to contain only a single name/one number and no email address, nothing else. Instead, make a backup of your old device using the BlackBerry Desktop Software and then restore this backup on your new device, if you had done a previous backup.

  Do you have BlackBerry Protect installed on the old device? If Yes, when you sign in to your BlackBerryID for the new device, you can use your BlackBerry Protect data to restore on the new device.

• BlackBerry Smartphones BB Pearl not recognizing Media Card

  I have a Kingston 2 GB MicroSD card installed in my BB.  He works very well for the past month (since I have the phone) and has 4 or 5 images and 5 another 6 ringtones stored on it.  Earlier this week, I had been hanging the phone to the computer with the USB cable and it would ask me if I wanted to access the media.  I would say no and continue on from there.  Then Wednesday, all of a sudden the BB began to no longer recognize the card.  Today, I went into the settings and they are:

  Map of media Support - on

  Encryption mode - no

  Mass Storage Mode Support - on

  Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - invites

  A memory card is not currently inserted in the device.

  I take the media card and plug in the computer and it is still showing all the files there.  When I plug the phone to the computer, it is not recognized by the computer.

  Any suggestions?

  I found something Spingineer here (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=8100&thread.id=11781) and tried.   It worked like a charm.

  Have now managed to connect using the USB cable, so access SD card and move the photos to the visible file to the Photos app.  It's DCIM - camera.

  They are then visible on the Photos (first page is always useful), as well as always appearing on the records of the unit.

  I've seen a few similar posts, but nothing worked for me.  I recently went on a trip and took more than 200 pictures on my Blackberry.  I need a simple way to transfer all of them to my computer because obviously send them one at a time, or moving them one at a time is not practical.

  When I go to Options > memory, all the options are defined on the (card, Media Transfer Protocol Support) and Mass Storage Mode Support.

  When I go to media > pictures > all pictures, I see all of my pictures.  When I go into photo files, it says the device memory.

  When connected to my PC via the USB port, I try to pull up in Windows Explorer.  I see options for device MTP - device memory and device MTP - Media Card.  There are only empty folders in the device memory.  Multimedia card has nothing under the data and only my music files in the media.  Similar behavior when I pull up in Windows Media Player.

  Any suggestions?

  Sorry to hear that you are having a problem with your multimedia files.

  Remove the battery for 5 seconds then reconnect. After reboot, go to your media file and try to watch a video.

• BlackBerry smartphones lack intermittently from the media

  I have a 9530 I've had for about a month now and I don't like it.  I bought it for my phone and my personal mp3 player.  But in the latest, it is a bit lacking.

  Intermittently after that the phone is turned on it will load all the mp3 I have on press card, sometimes it'll load 60 songs, sometimes 100, I have the app Quickpull v.2 I use to do a hard reboot and after reboot it'll show in the Media Manager it count 411 songs that I have loaded, but when I come back later, it will be up to 60 songs once again as he didn't want to load all the, and still sometimes it will load all the songs of 411 perfectly.  If it wasn't the app Quickpull, I think I would have returned the phone, because the removal and reinstallation of the battery every time it happened would be a huge pain.

  I'm on OS 4.7.0.122, is there a better player media there, or an easy way to put the album covers on the storm?  Any help would be appreciated.

  Hey jarrettd, consider since you have a race 9530 4.7.0.122, you're with Telus or Bell, correct?

  There is a solution to your problem here, so lets kick it.

  Go to Options > memory, then press the BB Menu button and select Remove Media Card.  Once done, open the back of the phone and remove the memory card of the phone and if you want to be really sure, you can also remove the battery for a full hard reset or just the soft reset get you with QuickPull. Wait 15 to 30 seconds, then reinsert the battery and then wait for the phone to reboot.  Once the phone has been restarted, reinsert the memory card.

  You can do this without removing the battery, but since you have the back of the phone open anyway, why not be thorough .

  In any case, who has worked for others, allows so try it and see how it goes.

  EDIT: Just to add, my album covers load automatically, but maybe it's because I inadvertently loaded my account of the cover of the album during the loading of my music.

  There are two kinds of Desktop Manager. There are:

  • Barebone Desktop Manager
  • Desktop Manager + Roxio Media Manager

  It seems that the one on the CD is barebones. You can go to the website of Blackberry.com and download 'Desktop Manager 4.5 + Media manager'.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Media Manager does not recognize the Media card

  Installed the media 2G card.  Card is able to format and presents itself as 1.8 GB.  With mass storage, office software (Roxio media manager) does not show - memory card from the device.  In mass storage mode (which, according to the manual means the acts of the device as a USB storage device), PC sees the device, but does not not the files copied to it.  Has spent about 2 hours with the technical support of Verizon... they are puzzled.

  I found a workaround for the music files on the card.  I removed from the Blackberry and installed in an SD adapter full-size and there in a USB key with a SD slot.  My computer has seen the media card (embedded in the USB device) and I flew over songs in the repertoire of music on the media card, put it back into my phone and viola... the music file was there!
