  I just updated to Version 5, tonight and had the same problem.  I went to the BB mobile site and there is an upgrade to AppWorld available - Version 2.0.0.36 once I downloaded, installed and rebooted, the icon was back and working.  Hope that helps!

  The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

  2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  I noticed that after plugging in the USB, you have to swipe down with one finger... noticed the 'connected in charge mode' and you select 'file transfer '.

  New user 9530 about 2 weeks.  The office installed on laptop - required SW I plug device, then it reset default and then reinstalled BB (two trials) previous Contact updates, etc..  Laptop is gone to the store for a few days, so tried to install the SW Office on the second computer, and he wanted me to plug unit in and redo the entire process, so I stepped back.
