BlackBerry smartphones when I wipe my bb...

Hi, one of my * beep * friends took my bb for a few hours and was messing around with it. He ended the porn search on it and these disturbing images come. He has no record on the device or anything like that, but I don't want that on my blackberry so I ended by wiping. I wonder if the wipe will completely remove these images while there is no trace of what has been found online. I also wonder if anyone knows how long rogers would keep internet newspapers of their subscribers, if they remove them in fact.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Here is an article which deals with what happens during a wipe.

With respect to the newspapers to a carrier, I have no idea on this one there... Sorry...

See you soon!

  • Data not updated blackBerry Smartphones when inactive phone

    Hi all

Recently, I removed my main of my device e-mail address while he is on vacation.

I just put back it, but now I find that data (emails and BBM) are not updated when the phone was in bag for awhile.

If I put myself in response to or sending emails or BBM of unit all starts update again and all emails in circulation and BMMs come out at the same time.

Everything working the normal flow is restored, but after being in the Pocket for awhile everything stops again.

    Any ideas?

I noticed the problem when I started getting these archaic messages called SMS asking me why I do not answer to my BBM... naturally the idea of not receiving them is scaring me senseless!

    Kind regards

Hi and welcome to the forums!

We need to know what version of the software on your device.

Check the version of operating system of the device, and then use the correct steps to register your device. Basically, you refresh your network connection and the software to control the connection on your device.

  • BlackBerry smartphones when you save in outlook, it save your documents on card?

was wondering if anyone knew. a shame to waste all my .doc files if it is not

Ah... Ok... Manually... and I think this goes for 3rd party applications as well. DTM backup databases of Basic... see this KB:

KB03974 Databases on the BlackBerry smartphone

What I do is to maintain a list of 3rd party apps I have installed on my BB. Because I'm "attention to detail", I still maintain this list of things that I got via AppWorld or other sources that maintain their own list of what I have bought/installed. I also maintain a manual backup to my PC which is on my map of media - now it's easy since it is simply my entire library of music, videos, and only a few documents of any type. But your use may vary.

    Hope that helps!

Hello and welcome to the community!

If you are certain that there is no intrusion of humidity of 100% (honestly, what you describe seems decidedly like that... but still), so I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, thinking... what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Calendar of Outlook synchronization to blackBerry Smartphones when accessed through a web portal

Can someone point me in the right direction?  I'm giving one of my Blackberry users the ability to synchronize its calendar of his laptop computer.  He can access his Outlook calendar through a web portal to our secure network.  This software has the capacity or is anyone know what software would do?  I don't see that as an option when you set up the software.  Because Outlook is not really run on his laptop computer

    Thanks in advance.

Well, it isn't really a problem with Outlook.  You seem very friendly.  They access their calendar/tasks and messaging via a web portal as a result of the fire walls, we have in place.

However, I did more research on my own here and found that Blackberry Professional Software offers wireless calendar synchronization and which seems to be a good resolution.

  • BlackBerry smartphones when I click on the message icon and the text on the Blackberry 9860, the missed call page opens

I had the Blackberry 9860 and connected to MTN Nigeria for about 3 weeks and it only plugged into the data last weekend. Last Sunday, I went to the Kenya, so I'm now roaming on Safaricom with data roaming turned off. Yesterday, I noticed that the "missed calls" page opens whenever I click on the icons 'message' and 'text '.

I did not see my text since yesterday, so I would appreciate advice from resolution. Thank you and best regards.

Leave the appliance to charge 2-3 hours and then, always toujours relie connected to the USB cable, remove the battery from the camera a few seconds and plug it back. If it starts - let - the charges to 100% (check the Options > status for the percentage).

If it does not start - try using a wall charger if you're not. If you are connected via USB to the computer, make sure that you have Desktop Manager (or USB device drivers), you can download it below.

Make sure that your USB cable is connected to one of the main rear USB ports of the PC. A USB hub, or USB Monitor port not a USB port on the front of the PC.

    Download Desktop Manager here:

You get operational and we'll see what happens with the Java exceptions.

  • Does anyone know BlackBerry Smartphones when Verizon will offer 5.0 for the 8330?

I would really like to get out of 4.5.  I 4.7 on my company BB (8900 from T-Mobile) and love it much better, but reading of about 5.0, according to me, I have love even better yet.  Unfortunately, 4.5 is the only OS listed on the page from Verizon for the 8330.  No one knows when they will release 5.0?  From what I read they will, but I would like to know if I should wait a week 6 wait or wait 2 years...

Thanks, and sorry if this has been covered before, I was unable to find it if so.

Freshness. BTW - there will be published little (if any) on when RIM's 'official' for what you're looking for. Instead, what you will see is that some carriers release the version you are looking for... VZW will do what they do in their own sweet time.

BTW - you can find the forum 83xx on this site here:

At the top of the stickies is a thread that Xandrex keeps up to date with current versions of each carrier operating system device (that he has information on, of course). I have not waded in this thread (it's pretty long), but it might have a table for your model, that will guide you to locate different materials with the levels of release.

If you find that a carrier has sanctioned a device OS you want, you can usually get them through their DL site via this Portal:

You can then use these instructions for use (doesn't bother me that the instructions are for the storm - the process is the same I think):

  • BlackBerry Smartphones when I click on address book, I try to choose "new Contact:" and nothing happens

When I click on address book, I try to choose "new Contact:" and nothing happens.

I also tried another way - I got a call from someone and I chose 'copy xxxxxxxxxx' (x = the phone #) and then go to the address book and select 'new contact' - once again nothing.

I had to call and select 'Add to contacts' in the menu and nothing happens.

When I am in the address book and select a contact, then select "Edit" in the menu - nothing happens

  • Notification of blue of blackBerry Smartphones when jumpered

Is there a way to disable the blue light blinking notification when jumpered for a playbook? I clicked through all the settings I could not find anything. It's slightly annoying.

    I have a Bold 9930.

In your Bluetooth options, uncheck "LED indicator connection." This should stop the blue LED indicating that you have a Bluetooth connection.
