BlackBerry Smartphones where to buy OEM trackballs?

Hi I have a blackberry curve 8330 and the trackball busted. I bought some trackballs off Amazon but the new trackball just works (and hurt my finger). Scroll to the bottom and barely made it on the side. What a waste of time and money! In my view, that it is a kind of China cheap did trackball because my original ball was a sort of spongy big soft feeling against this small hard ball.

I searched online and even when they say "OEM" I don't know if these are original blackberry balls, and I can't find a way to communicate with blackberry through this site to ask what their guaranteed OEM blackberry trackballs distributors.

Anyone have a suggestion or know where I can get an authentic blackberry OEM trackball replacement (and not one that only says: Oem, because I contacted a few places and asked "is this original OEM" and they rewrite and basically say "well he said OEM on the package, we're not sure"! is some company overseas putting OEM on their boxes and crappy trackballs for sale because it seems that it.) I HATE this aweful trackball I bought.

Thank you!

PS if anyone knows how I can install rather a one sensor in my curve 8330 I would prefer that those breaking balls

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

    3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

    • KB24714 How to clear the cache of BlackBerry App World

    4 AppWorld must close.

    5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

    6. return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync).

If (4) stage arrives not as described, then the empty the cache failed.

I hope it'll work for you! If this isn't the case, then please be 100% certain that you use the same references to BB ID/AppWorld exact (username, password) that you have used when you got originally these apps. Changing a different ID to BB would be the only way for the records being lost, because they remain with the BB ID, not with the device itself.

Otherwise, you may need to ring to the top of your mobile provider for formal support and the ascent up to the official support of BlackBerry.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones where is the stock of RIM (No Carrier) OS for Blackberry 8300?

Every time someone asks how to reload Blackberry OS, the GET directed to this website: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp which contains all the operating systems for different carriers who sold blackberries. Upstairs, he says that this is for people who didn't buy their phone DIRECTLY from RIM, with no dependence of the carrier. So, where's the stock, no carrier OS if I want to reload my Blackberry that I bought from the RIM, directly and without SIM card?

I have a Blackberry 8300, if you were wondering.

You can use ONE of these versions of the operating system of your device, regardless of the carrier.

Operating system device provided are "released" by specific carriers once that they are certified and trained to their support technicians, but still, you are able to load any carrier the same model by following the instructions below.

See the link below to download it and follow these simple instructions.

First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." (You might have another Vendor.xml file hiding on your computer.) Open Windows Explorer, and in organizing key (on Windows 7, there are similar tools for Vista and XP) click on 'folder and search options. On the display tab, make sure that your computer is configured to display the hidden files and folders. Once you have done this, look for your drive C:\ "Vendor.xml".)
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

    * Starting with later versions of the OS6, there are now three copies of the SELLER. XML
    C:\Program Files\Fichiers Research In Motion\AppLoader (for 32-bit Windows XP/Vista/7)
    ==========OR============
    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader (for 64-bit Windows Vista/7)
    C:\Documents and Settings\ * name * \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    C:\Documents and Settings\ * name * \Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
You can also just search of the SELLER. XML. ensure that you choose the ADVANCED SEARCH and include hidden files. It should display the file in three places. Delete all copies that it finds.

Note: Some users may be concerned they will void their warranty of device by loading an OS from another carrier. There is really nothing to fear. Please read more information about it here: http://www.port3101.org/power-users/296-blackberry-os-upgrade-including-betas-myths-dispelled.html

    Hiya,

I wanted to update phones, witch, I like every 6 months and not every 2 years, lol. I have a BlackBerry Bold 9700 in like -new condition. I still have the box and manual, and it is unlocked. This is a BB from Tmobile, but like I said, it is no longer blocked. Anyone know where I can sell it (other that Ebay, I got ripped out there once)? I was looking at Amazon.com and there can do, but I know not how it is course, my phone model, and condition, is in and be unlocked I didn't know of any cheaper than US $250.00 US $. I was willing to put $ 200.00 even just to get rid of more quickly, because once I have buy this other phone I'll be BROKE. I'm going to get a factory unlocked BB Torch. Basically my question is, does anyone have experience with the sale of phones (or other) on the internet, and where you did and it was safe? • BlackBerry smartphones can I buy apps using my debit card?

    Hello

    My post is this postdouble.

I am trying to buy a few apps through app world. I have the paypal account, but every time I try to buy something. I get this error:

your transaction has not been processed. Please try your purchase again. (Error Id: 30261)

I found this post that explains how to fix at the top of the error. I'll try that later because I have something to say in this post.

what I'm trying to ask in this post, that's why can't buy apps using my debit card? I see that two options are credit cards and Paypal. It's honestly very few options for a device management company wide world like Blackberry.

I live in India and honestly, there are several features of Blackberry that make me say WTF.. ?

I'll list some of these features WTF here:

    1. Low autonomy (1230 mAh) - honestly, making mobile a little thicker for a good battery life would have been better.
    2. Cannot use my internet network, which is cheap, on my Mobile.
    3. Even though I have BIS, that the internet can't access my laptop. I need to have more internet network also.
    4. Only two options to purchase an app that is, credit card or paypal. What happens to users who do not have both? (if you guys decided to have your customers simply rich Fellows don't launch then at the market of the middle class of the population).

Man, I'm really * beep * off... I don't even know that to say this... my friends just listen and laugh.

Please tell me if I can buy debit cards or not?

PS: In addition to the features above of WTF, I love my torch BB 9860 because of its design and of course the motion detector. Many times it is run out of battery and I saw this mobile Virgin displayed to feel the beautiful design. (Waiting for an update soon to fix the bug of battery life)

Payment for app purchases depends on several factors, very few of them controlled by BlackBerry. If BlackBerry had his way, you would be able to walk into your local convenience store and buy an app with money. Many factors, including government restrictions, decide how you can pay.

For example, here in the Canada I can put an app purchase directly on my monthly bill of the cell with my carrier, Rogers. This is because BlackBerry offers this service to the Canada, approved by the Government and Rogers supports. As I said, if BlackBerry could do that for all carriers in the world, he would.

I hope that clarifies things for you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones where wifi-call as a bundle version 7.1 1149

WARNING: all terms translated in freestyle from German to English

Since I've updated my bb bold 9900 bundle of version 7.1 os 1149 I wonder where it is here:

    of docs.blackberry... Change_your_Wi-Fi_calling_preferences_

or simply: where are these parameters that I can't find as described?

I'm at orange Switzerland... is because of the provider, that he is not displayed?

WiFi calling, also known as the "UMA" for some, is turned on or off by the mobile operator. Not all carriers provide this function.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones where are my pictures

I can't find some of my photos.  Some of them stored in the Device Manager, and then some are shops in the media card. When I pull up in my pictures, I get only to see the pictures in the media in the device.  Now, I don't see even the media card link?  Where are they?

    Thank you.

You are probably well connected the USB cable to the PC, and if so, your card with active Mass Storage is not visible SINCE the BlackBerry itself at that time here.

Unplug the USB cable from the BB, and your photos and multimedia card should reappear.

If not, look at the Options > Media Card. Do you want to show your card media present on the device?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones where can I find the Media Manager for my office?

OK I just looked at my records that I received with my BB Storm the other day.  It's the 9530.  There is only the VCast & BB media sync, but the button for Media Manager does not work... I watched the disc and there no Media Manager... now what?  I am running Windows Vista Premium Home OS, and I have the Desktop Manager 4.7 version.  Where the hell is the Media Manager and since I can't find it, y at - it a downloadable version of it somewhere on the net?  Please HELP I am ready to pull my hair!

I had to talk to the reps to Blackberry and apparently some discs did NOT have the media for a reason Manager any.  The option was left aside.

After much frustration, I finally got my answer.

Format your card of media phones first, it on your phone.  Once done you will have a folder on your computer, when the phone is plugged into the computer, which said device BLACKBERRY and BLACKBERRY Media Card.  You can simply drag and drop into specified folders (for me it was the videos).

If you already have a converter media it is the perfect way to do it and the video should be MP4 (at least that's all so far, I have converted)

For the Media Manager, go here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/ but make sure you that you have uninstalled the Manager of the desktop of your computer first, and then re - install using the download from the link above.  I did it and it works fine now.

FYI - the Roxio is slower than the second coming during the conversion.  First use the reformat your phone option, and then use roxio if you do not have a Media Converter.  There are other media there converters that are much faster.  I have one for my Zune that allows to convert a movie in about 20 minutes or more and then it's in the right format for the phone.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones where are my contacts saved on my computer?

I backed up my bb storm 9500 to my computer using the bb Desktop Manager. I now need access to my contacts list on my computer that my phone is broken and far to repair. I have no other way to get some contacts but can't seem to find where, on my computer, he decided to store them so that I can view.

    Help, please

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

Your backup files are stored in a *.ipd file extension, often in your 'My Documents' folder.

So, look over there, or search the entire of your PC for *.ipd and you should find it.

Now, the IPD file is not usable by any other program except the BlackBerry.

If you want to use the data in this file, you will need an application named ABC Amber IPD Converter to extract the address book, etc., for use.

When you get your BlackBerry back, you can use the IPD file to restore your data to the new device.
