• Firefox crashes when trying to download files

  For the last two days, Firefox crashed every time I have try and download something, even in safe mode. Even if I do not actively download and I just want to watch my downloads box to clear the list it breaks down. In fact, crashes maybe not the right word, it freezes just straight up and I have to use the Task Manager to close it. Apart from that, I got no problem with navigation. I can always download without any problem with Internet Explorer and Chrome.

  I just spent several hours trying to download and install a Media manager program frm Verizon (to manage the files downloaded from my phone).  The download dialog box will appear and the download is normally; However, no matter if I try to save or to run or to know if him "close this dialog box...". "is checked or not - at the end of the download, the dialog box disappears and the downloaded file is not found.

  After reading other posts, I tried:

  When you download files, Windows usually saves in the Downloads folder which is located under your user name in the users folder on the drive where Windows is installed (for example C:\users\your name\downloads). When you save the file, you can choose to save it in a different folder. By default, some file types are saved in different folders. For example, if you right click on an image on a Web page and choose Save the image as in the menu, the image will be saved in the default pictures folder. If you don't know where the file has been saved, you can search for it in the start menu.

  Firefox is not supported by EMOD, and I don't think that ie8 is either.
  I can confirm that IE7 works.
