  I've been using Yahoo Messenger and it works very well.  Today I tried to send a photo to a Messenger contact who I was in a conversation with and I got an error saying that it did not have any contact.  When I looked at the status of the person, I was chatting with, it says offline, which I know was not the case.  This is not a chat text effect.  It only becomes a problem trying to send media.  Messenger has the status of the person as being "offline" then when the phone trying to send a picture, he doesn't see one online.

  If someone has noticed this?  Is there a solution?

  I send photos throughout the day at work and they are sent by IM would be so much better than e-mail.  I can receive pictures via the Instant Messenger, just cannot send until I can get the phone to see the recipient as being 'online' or 'available. '

  I just bought a bold 9700 and downloaded the app store of bb then tried to download yahoo IM.  At first, it appeared to download and then it just froze at half way through the download.  I then downloaded app world again and replaced the previous version, but it still won't let me download the yahoo app.  If anyone knows what may be the problem?  Thank you

  go to Options > Advanced > Applications and scroll through the Yahoo Messenger application and do not click it, just highlight it. Click Menu > delete and remove the application.

  Now, do a restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to access

  BlackBerry.com/Yahoo/Messenger

  and download/install the Yahoo Messenger application again.

  After installation and reboot if necessary, check your instant messaging, or downloads of the application folder.

  Ok... Let me tell you how I discovered it. I updated my phone with the new update, and I noticed that the app catalog was not install applications. So I did a partial deletion on my phone and it started working properly. Then I noticed that I would get an error message on my instant messaging is not not able to connect. Then when I checked, I noticed that my phone when return to have Google and AIM instant messenger and Yahoo was completely absent. Has anyone had this same problem? If anyone has any patches, please post them. Thanks a bunch!

  Hello tross415 and welcome to the forums of Palm.

  What you see is, if I remember correctly, a Palm webOS 1.3.1 bug that has not yet been addressed.  If you run the messaging on the meadow and then select Preferences & accounts > Add IM Acoun you will not get a button to add a Yahoo! IM account.

  The work around for this issue and add support for Yahoo IM for your pre is to add an account email or Yahoo calendar.  When you do this, the IM account will also be created.  It is the process that worked for me when Palm introduces the support of Yahoo IM with webOS 1.3.1.

• Removal of blackBerry Smartphones Yahoo Messenger

  Hello all, I no longer use Yahoo messenger and it seems that I deleted the application. The only thing is the icon is still on my home screen and lights up as it still works. When I select a browser window opens for the option to download. I don't see an option to remove this icon. The device has been reset when the uninstall is complete and I tried a battery pull. The program is not in the Application Center folder or the list of applications in options. I would like that it went completely.

  What you see is just the icon of the shortcut to install. It is placed through a directory of services driven by your carrier. If you delete the corresponding service book, the icon will disappear and reappear when the service book is pushed again...

  So, the best advice is to hide. Menu > hide.  They take up very little storage space, don't worry about this.

  I had to change my password] yahoo.ca which meant I had to revalidate my password on my blackberry.  However, I can not, I get an error message saying my email or my password is invalid, and if it continues to communicate with yahoo.

  I use a Storm 9530 on the T-Mobile network.  When I opened the phone first everything was fine and dandy, but I discovered that I needed to update my APN to a friendly TMO, I did.  After that, everything was fine and dandy.  But this morning I started having this problem with my BB trying to get my Yahoo! mail.  Sometimes it takes a minute or two and other times, most of the time, it takes about 15 to 20 minutes.  He did not have this before and it's frustrating.

  What's even worse, is that my Hotmail and BB Mail updated instantly, but not the Yahoo! one.

  The same thing happens with my updates of Facebook.  I don't get them as often as I used to be...

  I tried to do several battery grips.

  I tried to remove the sim card and put it back in.

  I tried to return the books.

  I tried to remove the Yahoo! mail and by assigning back up again, but I still have this problem.

  The AFN of T-Mobile, what I use is epc.tmobile.com

  E-mail (yahoo or other) is not provided through the AFN, but the network of BIS, so in fact, no matter what the AFN is - to this effect.

  Open your service books (options > Advanced > Service books) and delete your Yahoo address.

  With the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  Now, go back to your BIS login and return Service directories.

  Hi all, I have the bold 9700 and I am trying to connect to my yahoo messenger on my bb but allow me to connect. He goes on to say this is the user name or password, but when I tried to connect to my laptop it works, also on iphone it works! I tried to log in 2 other yahoo ID on my messenger in BB and it works so I don't know what the problem is! I tried to reinstall twice the Messenger from yahoo on my BB and it did not help!   It seems to me like this. The BB keyboard is so small that each key has to do a lot of different functions, and they change according to different control keys (alt, caps, etc.). For example, you press the right buttons, but something completely different is the result. Very attentive to the real characters that are sent when you try to type the password... you might be surprised at what are the actual characters. You should get a moment to see each character in the clear before it turns into a *.

  Step 1 is to press the menu button on your phone on your home screen and select Show all or show all, according to what is available. If that solves your problem, you are welcome. If this isn't the case, read on.
