BlackBerry software link - change the backup folder

Windows 10.  When I try to save my Z10, I receive the error message that it can't write to the backup folder, so I need to change the permissions, or change the backup folder.

I checked the permissions and there are all the granted permissions.

I can't figure out how to change the backup folder.  Is no longer an option in settings, and although I can change the name of the save file back box, it won't let me change the path.  Custom changes to what is recorded gives the same error.

I can sync very well, but I just can't back up.

Welcome on the Support forums.

To change the location of the backup file, you should first be connected to the Link.  Then select 'Préférences' at the top right.  In the "Général" tab, you should see the option to change the folder backup at the bottom of the list. Click the file folder icon and you will be prompted to navigate to where you want to backup to be saved.

  • Location of the backup folder View Manager - greyed out

    VMWare View - 5.0.1

Try to change the location of the backup folder (View/view/servers/Edit Connection Configuration servers.  When I click on the tab back up, the location of the folder is grayed.  It is currently backup fine in C:\ProgramData\VMWare\VDM\backups, so there is no problem of backup.  I can't just change the path to what it's backup.  Do I have to stop a service to change the path?

You cannot change this location by the Administrator display. Here it is read-only.

You can change the location directly through LDAP, but by changing the attribute EAP-LDAPBUFolder for each connection to the server. See http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1010285

  • Time Machine "an error occurred during the creation of the backup folder"

    Hi all

In September 2015, I bought a 6 TB WD MyBook to use with Time Machine. Initially, I have me back an Early 2011 MacBook Pro 13 "and now it's an iMac late 2015 5 K. On both machines, the drive is connected directly to the USB port (without hubs was between the disc and the Mac). After about a week or two, I received a message "unable to full backup. An error occurred while creating the backup folder".» I clicked on OK, rebooted the MacBook and she continued to save. This message pops up every week or two weeks, and I ignored him. When I got to the iMac, the message still popped up after a few weeks, and he even got to the point where it would show every day when I woke up to the iMac to sleep after a day at the College. Several clears and even erase the disc course made no difference. I made contact with WD and they sent me a new drive (a 8TB vs the original 6 to). Now, the message popped up again today.

When I was home from Uni, I was support my MacBook Pro 2015 retina on a FireWire drive, which I had used before purchasing the WD 6 to, using Apple's FireWire adapter Thunderbolt. It worked without any problem. In addition, back up my MacBook Pro via FireWire 2011 worked well for 4 years. Given that the MacBook Pro saved without fault when the drive is connected via FireWire, and problems have emerged only when I started to use a USB drive, I start to think that it is a problem of USB. I turned it off put hard drives to sleep when possibleand have active Power Nap and still get the error.

    Anyone else see this issue?

Thank you very much in advance!

  • Finder keep it open the file even after I change the default folder

I have the problem with the default folder in the finder.

A few months ago, I changed the default folder from the finder to a specific folder. Now, I want to change to the new folder. I already go to finder > Preferences > General > new poster finder window and change the folder, but whenever I click on the finder on the dock for the first time, keep the change back to the old folder. What should I do with this?

    Thank you for the help

    HI there Alia80,

Looks like you set your Finder preferences to open a specific folder when you open a new window, but it seems to keep coming back to what it was previously set to. I would first start safe mode and if some system-level caches can be erased, and a check disk and repair is done automatically:

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

Once you log in safe mode, let him by making a normal restart and test the issue again.

If it persists after this test this point in a new admin on your computerand user let me know what is happening there:

OS X El Capitan: set up users on your Mac.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

  • How to change the 'Archives' folder for email accounts in El Capitan?

El Capitan, before I was able to change the 'Archives' folder in the mail by changing the ArchiveMailboxName property in the ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Accounts.plist as a result file.

Unfortunately, with El Capitan that has stopped working. The right Mail application does not take into account my changes and keeps using the old folder of archived messages no matter how to customize above setting.

Does anyone know how to change this setting in El Capitan?

Background: I use a dedicated folder to Archive each year. So I want to move this folder from Archive.2015 to Archive.2016 that does not work.

OS X El Capitan (tested with 9.2 Mail), you can directly set in the Mail application:

    1. Select your new folder to archive.
    2. In the menu, choose mailbox > use this mailbox under > archive mailbox.

In German, it is Postfach > sharps Postfach use als > Postfach "Archiv".

    Hello

Create a shortcut to open the type explore - Start - in the start-> Windows Explorer box
find the head of list - right click on COPY - then go to the desktop - right-click-PASTE

    1. make sure that the icon opens a Windows Explorer.

For this one or an icon that opens to explore just RIGHT CLICK - PROPERTIES

On the SHORTCUT TAB - target line add C:\

There is a space after explore.exe and C:\ or path that you specify.

    It's mine: %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe C:\

    Good luck.

  • Files in the backup folder do not appear the same on XP vs Win7

I use a program called second copy to back up the "My Documents" folder on a portable usb WD drive. The backup folder contains 129 objects. However, when I tried to locate a file in this folder using my Win7 laptop and the same USB, Explorer listed only 29 of these files. I took the training to the XP machine, and everything was normal.

Second copy tech said that they have never heard of this and also that their program uses all exclusive compression in creating backups. If this isn't a problem of Second Coy, then I think the differences in operating systems. It worries me because the primary drive on the XP machine is old enough, then it would be fine if I could restore the files, if necessary, for Win7 machine too.

    For what it's worth:

    • The backup of file 'My Documents' is located in a hard drive other than c. partiion.
    • As far as I know, all were leaving them on this disc are NTFS, but I can't swear to that before a Court of law.
    • I'm new to Win7

Can someone me unbaffle on this? It will keep me awake at night.

    Thanks in advance!

    Ken,
I use the second copy for easy use. Saves time and clicks. Maybe the windows backup utility does the same thing, I just found heavy long ago and haven't watched since.

OK, your choice. I don't know second copy, but it is difficult for me to
Imagine it easier than just copy through Windows.

The main issue, you hit the nail on the head. Before that I sent the question I thought to the hidden file attribute, but told myself, 'no. "There is no reason that the bit be set for these files and not others ', not to mention that I thought I had already checked the show hidden files box a long time ago. So I have not yet looked. It turns out that some of them is hidden, and some are not.
But this brings another question which is: why these files are hidden? They just run files mill containing mp3, jpg etc.. Is there a flaw somewhere in Windows that hide files?

    Thanks to revive me.

You are welcome. You can hide files and
    remember do?

  • Software BlackBerry BB link for BBQ10 backups?

Maybe a simple question and I am just something missing: previously, I used the Blackberry Destop software to the data of the backup device in a file on my hard drive, I could then extract later if necessary (SMS, BBM, etc.). I expect to use Blackberry link in the same way, but I don't see this as a feature. What/how do this with the BBQ10/BB link combo?

    Thank you
