BlackBerry software Win 10 worm 1607 - link is no longer connecting

Well, MS Win 10 worm 1607 "anniversary day" broke a couple of things (although I like it in general)

Link does not detect my camera any longer.

All this experience?

Guess I'll try the uninstall/install to see if this fixes...

That's what I did, that fixed it.

A few caveats. In my case, the computer has detected my passport and mapped memory and the memory card to record. Mixture worked. That the link wouldn't connect to the device.

I did a simple uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop using Windows software. Then cold reboot. Then installed the software of office again. It worked for me.

  • BlackBerry software failed to install BB link/mixture

For these last two days I tried to install BB link/mixture on my computer (Windows 10).  The file downloads fine and I can record on my desk; When I run it it goes through the questions usuual and wants to collect the files for installation.  Shortly after I get an error message stating:

"An error occurred during the installation of the software.  The computer processes a different request.  Please wait until the application is complete, and then try again.

I checked and there are no other programs running, the computer is idle.  I restarted my computer several times and even tried offline without result.  I also tried to install just link by clearing Blend.  I noticed that there is also a control in the software update box (I guess the phone).  This box is greyed out and cannot be deselected.

I do not have my Q10 again (will get Friday); I have had several BB, including a front Q10 and had link on my computer before but did run Windows 7 at the time.

Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

Found the problem! I have AVG Anti-virus and it was corrupt and unable to update. Reinstalled AVG and after update BB link and installed mix just fine.

  • BlackBerry software failed to install BB link on 2012 R2 server

My iTunes works as a server on a server 2012R2 computer, I thought also to install BB link on this machine. But unfortunately it does not install correctly. Well, he moved up to the point where services must be started:

Trying to install version 1.2.3.56 of the BB link, an error message prompted [start Link Communication Manager (Service of Tunnel RIM) BlackBerry service failed. Make sure you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

Eeven if I am admin of this box, the installation program keeps saying it cannot start services and claiming the user has insufficient rights.

I have not tried the 2012 R2, but it could be similar to the solution that I found on 2008 R2.

  • BlackBerry software not able to download Blackberry link

    Hello

Last week I bought my Q10 (from Orange/Romania) and downloaded Blackberry Link (for Mac OS)

I installed and used with my phone just fine.

Yesterday, I had some problems with my phone and reinstall the OS. After that, she refused to connect to Link of BB somehow.

After several attempts to get it working, I uninstalled Blackberry link and remove the software in order to download again.

But surprise, when I press the button to download the BB link again, I received the following message (that I had last week when I downloaded the BB link for the first time):

    We're sorry...

This software download is not yet available in your country for regulatory reasons. Please check for future availability.

Please let me know what I did wrong. It is odd that the link is not available in a country where BB phones are available from the mobile operators.

    Thank you

    Hey cosminium_10.

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

There was an investigation into intermittent problems with the software download link from BlackBerry.com BlackBerry which took place yesterday.

This problem has been reported as being solved by our internal teams and should now be available for download again. If you still receive the error message that it is not available in your country, please try to reload BlackBerry.com in your browser by pressing Command + Shift + R on Mac, or CTRL + F5 on Windows. You can also try clear all the cache of your browser, and then restart the application.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you still have problems to download the BlackBerry.com link BlackBerry software.

    See you soon.

  • Link blackBerry problems blackberry software

Earlier this week my blackberry software is no longer connected to my USB connected playbbok.  Today, it didn't connect to my Q10.  She is also not connected and all attempts will fail to connect.

I reinstalled connected link Q10 and 1/2 hour later it is appeared and sunched, but also showed the error that it couldn't connect wirelessly.  Still does not see playbook, even if the playbook says that it is connected.

If something has changed.  Old and new versions of link are the same - 1.1.1.32

It worked OK before including wireless.

Finally solved my problem by uninstalling with REVO uninstaller and then reinstall again. Previous registry entries have been properly cleaned this time around it seems!

  • BlackBerry software mixing and Issues resolutions, I've found. (Mix & link does not then BBID connection errors)

I spent a good amount of time a problem resolved with the latest version of the link & Blend (Setup file: BlackBerryDesktopSoftware_B98.exe) and I wanted to share my findings in case someone else is having similar problems.

I have already installed 1.2.3.56 link and it worked fine with my Q10, I used it for access to remote files, sync and backup and everything worked perfectly.  BBID was able to manage a disconnect, connect to the application without problem.  When the passport was released I had planned to make one, so I tried to upgrade to the latest version of link being bundled with the installer of mixture.  That's where all my problems started...

After numerous installs / uninstalls the best I could muster with the new version was a mixture executable that would end itself quietly (no paper anywhere) in the second run.  Only way to really see in taskmanager was to select in the browser and press the Enter key (this he launched hundreds of times, I was doing this while using the process monitor to see if a log file has been generated anywhere, I didn't expect that it remains running) in addition the link sat at its screen for a LONG time , and when he finally start step 2/3 has never worked.  This is the step where you enter your credentials BBID and it records the link your account BBID, whenever I came to this page, that he had a yellow triangle and a button 'Retry' which obviously did not help much.

    The link always took to connect is because PeerManager.exe had the same problem that Blend.exe did, he would go for<1 second="" and="" then="" terminate="" quietly="" on="" it's="" own="" with="" no="" logs="" of="" any="" kind. ="" when="" link="" is="" started="" and="" running="" you="" should="" see="" the="" peermanager.exe="" process="" running="" in="" your="" task="" manager,="" and="" of="" course="" it="" woudn't="" stay="" running="" for="">

I had the debuggers and IDA to take a look at what was going on and what I found I hope it will help someone without having to make all the steps of this.  For what it's worth I've also call in support BlackBerry when I get my passport and to inform them of the issue, I came across.

The short end of history / TLDR. I had to do 2 things to get this version of Blend / link not working for me: create a white 'openssl.cnf' file on my hard drive and point to it with the environment variable "OPENSSL_CONF".  Second question was about a value in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Research In Motion" that he did not, I removed this entire key during a re - install, and now the BBID authentication page correctly.

I'll add some additional notes on what I found in the next post...

If someone is curious about what I found while debugging, this is what lead me to the library & it is OpenSSL configuration problem...

While I was debugging, I changed a routine jump and was able to get executables to start.  The PeerManager.exe and the necessary mixture changes the code runs successfully. (suspicious code block was in the mix file libeay32.dll PeerManager.exe with link/Blend)

Looking at these two very similar code blocks shown a string of text before the jump to 'leave' called, showing that the code path that displays the text string "Automatic Configuration failed." called when an error occurred.  Interestingly enough it is then the functions available are currently walked initterm (an internal function in MSVCRT100.dll) and if the executable is never a chance to sign anything before this happens.

Seeing that I had a similar error message in both applications indicated that it was a common library that has been compiled with both applications.  So I went to google to find pages associated with this error message...  Looks like this is a common problem with libraries and compiling of data, but I was focused on how to work around the problem and I finally tried one of the hotfixes sugguested I found.   Here's an old bug report on OpenSSL which indicates it might be a problem with the availability of openssl.cnf and is:

    https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=584911

With the above information, I went to my system properties and set a System Variable, named "OPENSSL_CONF" and a value of "C:\openssl.cnf".  I then went to a dos prompt and make an empty file to this location using "COPY CON C:\openssl.cnf" (on the first line, I just recorded it with CTRL + Z) I then restored the binary no patches and low and behold, they worked very well!  Blend.exe started well to the top and Peermanager.exe were also still works just fine.  I couldn't BBID authentication window to come yet, but applications take at least now on my device and they actually open and created newspapers.

    MIX OF NOTES:

Work with mixture problems not starting not leads believe me it is a problem compiling.  If I replace the OpenSSL library, it comes with (libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll), with their installation package 1.0.1i binaries 'lite', Blend.exe starts fine.  Peermanager.exe can be fixed as well as libraries are statically compiled in this application.  Libraries have been restored for versions supplied with mixture once the environment variable has been confirmed for the problem.

    Auth BBID question:

It was relatively easy to solve compared to the above question... Finally, there's something in my registry that has not been analyzed correctly as in 'Desktop.log' I found this article: ' | ERROR | 1. Rim.Desktop.Shell | 0 | Error to access the valid bbidprincipals. "I have exported and deleted everything under the 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Research In Motion' key, restarted and voila!  I have now received a login for BBID.  Don't know which key it was that I didn't go back and add in each of the values I exported, but there was something in there, he did not like...

Now I just need to see that this information back to the BlackBerry support group and eventually the Group of desktop software so that they make use.  When the Passport arrives I'll make sure to make a support call and get connected with them.  If anyone has any information to help get to the right people, let me know and I'll push it along.

Otherwise, if this can help someone, give a post here so that we know that you are affected by this problem as well!  I still don't know which is more precisely on my system that requires him to need this empty openssl.cnf file.  A test VM, I installed it on had not and it works very well, so there is something else in my environment that causes this.

  • Update of the link Blackberry software blackBerry

I use a Z10. Secunia PSI has indicated that a new version of the Blackberry Link, 1.2.4.39 is available. I currently have 1.2.3.56. I can not find the new version anywhere and when I go to the Web from Blackberry site and click on the link for Blackberry link I'm always redirected to a page that says that the connection cannot be authenticated.

    (Secure connection has no

An error occurred during a connection to swdownloads.blackberry.com. Cannot communicate securely with counterpart: no common encryption algorithm. (Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Contact the Web site owners to inform them of this problem.)

Therefore, I have no way to access the download.

Is there an available 1.2.4.39 and if so, how can I access it? Thanks in advance for your time and any assistance provided.

The site for download is blackberry.com/blackberrylink

If you are unable to access for some reason, it's probably an ISP issue.

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Software Update Fail on Z10 10

Hello world! I am trying to update the latest version of the software on my Z10 using WIFI BT, but he arrived at 34MO and continues to be paid to "interrupted update", I did that there is enough storage space in my camera but still the same events. It makes me crazy! Someone else had this problem? Have you found a solution? Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

I recommend not preforming a more air day because they tend to miss from time to time due to the fall of the signal. I recommend using the BlackBerry link to device software update, so there were no interruption as long as the usb cable is not disconnected.

  • BlackBerry Software Desktop software components must be installed?

    Hey guys,.

I'm going up to his presentation of the latest BlackBerry software link, which is now called BlackBerry Desktop Software. After you download the .exe file and run the regular configuration, it contains several components such as link, mix and device drivers.

I am talking about the software for one e.g. Z10, Q10, jump etc (BB10 OS devices)

Because we use and to use the mixture, I want to extract this component and only the deployment of others.

Now, I am faced with different .msi files and I am trying to figgure on which of them are really necessary.

    There are:

    -BlackBerryDeviceManager.msi

    -BlackBerryCommunicationManager.msi

Of course I could install the connection, connect a BlackBerry and see what happens (with one of these above probably nothing)

Then install the Device Manager and check aso again... until it works

BUT I want to know which of the above is required for what service.

If someone out there who knows?

    Thanks in advance!

Uh, I figgured out, both mentioned components are needed and a more:

In conclusion, if you want to have a job entirely BlackBerry link, you must have the following components:

    -BlackBerryLink.msi

    -BlackBerryDeviceManager.msi

    -BlackBerryCommunicationManager.msi

Each of them is the regular installation in the following directory:

    -Cache C:\ProgramData\Package

    Hope that help anyone ;-)

  • BlackBerry software trying to reload from scratch 10.2.1

    Original post: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-10-os-f269/trying-reload-10-2-1-scratch-898283/

I'm reloading 10.2.1 on my Q10 now that it is officially released.

The method I use, connect my Q10 to my PC, load Blackberry Link, preferences, Device Software Reload, Reload.

Link then begins downloading the software, I guess from Blackberry, and
arrives at 98% and complains he cannot complete the download because the
connection Internet came out. I've tested and my internet works fine.
New attempt to hit does nothing.

I did some digging in the newspapers and found the following:

You can download the BAR 10.2.1 directly from here: http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar

I found saved link Blackberry OS download is in your temporary
    (C:\\Users\\\AppData\\Local\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Te Internet files
employees Internet Files\\Content.IE5\\AV6ZPR0G) in my case. I confirmed
do this by removing the file .bar in the temporary internet files, click
'Retry' link and have it download a new copy.

I did a MD5/SHA1 of the file downloaded Blackberry link and the file that I downloaded manually on top and they are identical.

This leads me to believe Blackberry has screwed up the checksums on the
OS download certain way and we're stuck until they fix it at their end.

If we can resolve this problem? I want to reload my OS from scratch, that I was using before a leak of 10.2.1.

Thanks for this posting. I also saw a lot today and thought it was due to the heavy traffic. I'll see if I can get a friend to look at this and see if we can get Word to those who control it and we hope to get a fix.

For your second point of reloading the operating system because you are not running flight', there is really no need. The two versions are identical. You can do it if you really want to, but it is not necessary.

  • Classic BlackBerry how can I re install link on a classic Blackberry blackberry?

I found nothing on how to do this, or even a hint if it is still possible.

Blackberry mixture works fine, but no link, I can't find a way to backup everything.

Help, or even insults, would be appreciated.   : )

As I say, the link is not on the phone. It is different from the mixture. If you have used the legacy BlackBerry with Desktop Manager legacy, the link is more or less for BB10 Office Manager.

What you need to do, so usually, connect your Classic to the computer via a USB port, launch the link and follow the prompts to sign in with your ID BlackBerry and configure the link as you want. You will see how to manually backup or set link to make automatic backups on a schedule.

You have access to another wifi hotspot (do not forget to keep the phone connected to a charger).

If not browse this forum on installation with an autoloader.
