• Exchange for device dev Alpha: I can't wait for the Keyboarded model?

  I did some research on Google and Council research and could not find the answer. When alpha devices Dev 'time bomb' in Q1 2013, will I have to exchange it the model phone touchscreen? Or I'll be able to wait until the 10 BB with a keyboard device becomes available?

  For me the keyboard == superior!

  When done RIM Exchange, they will swap the course Alpha of Dev of devices for a special version of the touchscreen device developer. At this point, RIM didn't say anything official out of it, but at this point, I guess the current answer is no. The only way to know for sure if is to wait and see if RIM made an announcement.

  can someone give me advice on the question? (I have found no similar post, so please forgive me if duplicate messages...)

  My configuration:

  -Alpha OS Dev device: 10.0.4.197

  -SDK Webworks 1.0.2.9

  I always get a black screen when I deploy & launch applications for the test (I use a debugging token)... I'm afraid that I may have problems of compatibility between the version of the OS and SDK Webworks... I'm about to upgrade the unit right now, but if anyone else has experienced the same problems, please let me know! Any help is very appreciated!

  There are two themes: light and shadows. They can be chosen in the bar - descriptor.xml

  Default bright theme Z10 and Q10 theme dark because it has OLED that will burn out faster with bright display theme.

• Having to reboot my device (dev alpha) while constantly developing

  Hello.

  IM using Momentics, cascades of C++ sdk: 10.0.10.263, on Linux pc.

  In general I change the code, build, and then click Run (or debug) see how the application is features/looks.

  Then the cycle starts again.

  Unfortunately, Im getting up about 1-5 cycles before IDE complains that it can not connect to the target or somet similar message. The only thing that seems to help is to restart the alpha dev unit. It also means retyping my password then aperture settings and reset of development mode and then reenterimg my password again (as a mode of development of setting on it requires that you set also a device password, then who you pull together!). It is - very annoying and stunting my productivity considerably.

  Did someone of another haing this trouble?

  If I look for the icon for the application on the device after a failure 'upload' and then it looks like 'semi transparent' and I can't throw on the device directly either.

  It does not seem serious if I connect via usb or wifi.

  Is it possible to download a toolbar drop directly to the device and install it (e.g. via double-click) without using the SDK tools?

  Use the TargetNavigator view, select your application process, right click and choose "send the signal" SIGTERM.
  This should clear up your processes.

  I'm trying to make a link to our page of Blackberry World of Q10 application vendor. It works on Z10 correctly but Q10 begins the World of Blackberry app and shows a black screen.

  You have applications that are supported currently Dev Alpha C or Q10, out in the world of BlackBerry? I imagine that the Alpha C and Q10 Dev will filter applications that are not built/released for them.

  In my app, I see my name of the seller and a back (with a black screen between the 2) button when I open my page of the seller in the world of BlackBerry on the Dev C Alpha, but I see all my apps when I open on the Z10.  My applications do not yet support the Dev C or Q10 Alpha.

  BlackBerry World is not supported or included in 10 of BlackBerry Simulator.  Applications downloaded from BlackBerry World on the Simulator will not work because they are compiled for the ARM and the Simulator uses x 86 binary.

  To test that you will need to use a real device or a test like the Perfecto Mobile service that allows remote tests on real devices.

  BES 5 supports all devices that are not run BB10. This includes any device running OS 7.1 or lower (e.g. 99xx 98xx, 97xx, 96xx, 93xx, 92xx, 9000, 91xx, 95xx, 87xx, 88xx, 89xx, etc..)

  BB10 devices require a BES or higher to 10.

• Screenshots and the long Description appearing does not in the BlackBerry world on device

  This has been annoying me for awhile. The short description, long description and screenshots for my application appear on the web page of the BlackBerry World, but in the World of BlackBerry app on devices that short description appears. This was very annoying, and I tried both jpeg and png images.

• Impossible to see relies on BlackBerry World

  We downloaded a version in the BlackBerry world a few nights ago and can't seem to download it to a device. We did the following:

  (1) signed the file bar. According to the "blackberry-sign-check tool" it is signed.
  (2) downloaded the version on the portal provider in draft mode.
  (3) set the mode of development on the device and consulted the menu BBW app developer.

  We do not see our application listed when you enter the name of the product or the Product ID in the search box.

  Y at - it a step that we might miss?

  Some research on the forums suggested that this is a period of 24 hours before versions becomes visible. Anyone can shed some light on that for us?

  I don't know if that makes a difference, but this UI has a button called 'Content Test' instead of 'Charge' as in the screenshots of the blog post. We run OS 10.2 beta on our devices.

  Any help/advice would be appreciated.

  Another technician helped us in the meantime. The fix was to create a new ID BB, add it to our sandbox, and we were good to go.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry World does not?

  For the last two days, I was able to buy apps. The page that displays "Server / payment system is busy... try the operation later.» This, of course, is not a problem. However, it has become very frustrating because it happened for days now and I want to buy a full version of a game that left me hanging... lol. I was wondering if anyone had any idea what is happening, because there is no way to call the bb world to see if it is the question. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  Nope... Check these settings. Even if they have been defined correctly, I even tried to change them and then changing their back... just in case there was a fluke of some kind. Still no luck. The other day, I thought I was getting somewhere because, rather than the 'payment system' message, a circle of rotation and the word "authenticate" appeared. Unfortunately, he never passed that point and hours later had to return the message "payment system". Any other suggestions?  Thank you for your efforts and time.

  Sorry... I just realized... I went to the BB world again... and realized that he was going to let me even pull down the 'payment options' tab at the top. I was going to see if there had been any changes made here by chance.

  BREAKTHRU... at least for me... I hope that it might work for others as well. I kept going through the questions/solutions here and other places and kind of tried a mish mash. Here are the steps I've lived and worked:

  * I have cleared the cache on Blackberry World, following instructions for playbook... There are different ways to erase it depending on your device.

  * Then, I deleted the cache and cookies on my browser and restarted my tablet... don't know if helped... but done anyway.

  * When everything started upward, I pulled up the Blackberry World and shot options of investment (which could eventually be consulted) and he showed my card correct information.

  * Although he gave me a chance to enter my credit card information, I was a little leery on this subject... so I decided to go and try to buy the application with the information, he must already have been stored... and everything worked FINALLY!
