BlackBerry® Z3 E-mail / Microsoft exchange

Ladies and gentlemen,

I have a Z3 does Query saves emails combined as device OS7, so active BB plan of mobile operator.

If so, please guide me how to activate even.

Rgds / Lea

That means OS7 (or, more exactly, you 'believe' it is) is not relevant... BB10 is completely different from OS7. As I said, BB10 devices replicate the box the mailbox on the server to/from the device, and this replication is robust enough for EAS and IMAP, but less than POP. But, I can't tell you the difference for POP because it is not worth my using it.

How an e-mail account fits to the device when you use the wizard on the device is controlled by the mail server... When you use the wizard, it queries the server for the parameters and acts accordingly. If a server offers several protocols of electronic mail from the same server, the device in general promotes the EAS, then IMAP and POP (if all are available... a rare circumstance in fact). Usually the admins by e-mail, use different servers to deal with different protocols of the internet... you must ask your supplier to e-mail if they POP more than simple server to the internet and get the settings, then use the advanced/manual configuration on the device instead of the wizard.

Your storage of emails on the camera issue is actually irrelevant... the unit is designed as a replica of the server, nothing more, nothing less. In the meanest of the technical answers, emails are actually stored on the device... but if you remove the device, they will remove the server (if you have configured then... you can choose), even if you delete the server they will be remove from device. This is normal, in order to be replicas of each other. But you do not have some controls, and your question about the storage of the device is just too simplistic to how it actually works.

Good luck.

    Yes, thank you.

The first error is in step 4. If your server configured everything properly, admins rather than choose "Advanced", you choose instead «E-mail, calendar and Contacts» Then you proceed to enter your e-mail address and password and allow the server to provide the unit with all necessary settings.

If your server admins have not configured the server correctly and it cannot provide the wizard with the appropriate settings, then indeed, you need to use the advanced method, but your server admins would need to provide you with all the parameters to complete the different fields with.

  • Microsoft Exchange: Server does not delete messages deleted or moved with Mail

It drives me crazy.  I have a Microsoft Exchange account at work that I put in place with the mail.  It seems to work perfectly in almost all respects - it synchronizes new messages, and if I send emails it works fine.  The ONLY thing is to delete messages from my Inbox on the server when I use Mail to delete them or move them out of my Inbox to a local folder; It is not even move them to the folder items deleted on the server.  So, I get messages saying: my account is almost full, and I need to access my Outlook account on a web browser and manually remove the y of my Inbox.  Yes, I checked my account preferences and made sure "store the deleted messages on the server" is disabled.

Can anyone help?  I use El Capitan with Mail 9.3 10.11.4.  I'm ready to tear my hair on it.

You drag the message out of the Exchange Inbox to records the "on my Mac"?

If so, you copy the message.

    To move...

    • Use the move icon to move the message
    • Use the command key.

This will force a move instead of a copy. It works exactly as to put them into files in the Finder — between different servers (and move from an Exchange or an IMAP folder to a local folder moves between server) the file/email is copied by default.

Cmd-drag forces a shot instead. Dragging between different folders on the same server goes by default, but a copy can be forced by holding down the Option key when you drag.

  • Microsoft Exchange Server configured in Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail

    Hello.
We just got a new laptop and I am trying to set up my e-mail account, as it was on my old.  For work purposes, I use the Microsoft Exchange Server because my work has us using OWA.  This way I can sync with my home outlook client and then synchronize with my portable devices.

The new has Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail.  As regular mail doesn't seem to have all the updated proxy in place, I tried on Live Mail.
I can't get set up on one or the other.

    Am I missing something?

So, I buy a laptop for $800, which includes the $150 for microsoft office home for students and teachers only to have to go and buy an Outlook for an additional amount of $100.
At least I'm taking a class 3 credit Post-grad at the present time through University and I have a .edu email address there.
The Ultimate Steal - Office Ultimate for students-$60 if you take at least one class of credit.5 and have a .edu email address.

Windows needs to stop trying to improve things for people.  Things have been good before!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can you synchronize all Outlook folders on a Blackberry "BOLD" using Microsoft Exchange?

Hi, I use a Blackberry "BOLD" to view my Inbox, but I would love to see my other folders, including my spam folder. Is it possible to do? I do not use the Blackberry Exchange Server (BES) - I am using Microsoft Exchange.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

FYI - BES = Blackberry Enterprise Solution (or server)... it is not strictly for the Exchange...

Use of the file is a feature of BES. So if you use it, then it is not available.

  • "Security error" when setting 'Microsoft Exchange Hosted Services' Exchange account (user in company)

I am a user in a company with a very large company that actually uses Microsoft Hosted Exchange services hosted by Microsoft employees in their facilities.  I called Palm support and they were clueless and zero help.  The lady pointed me to some Palm article I had already read and only remotely had nothing to do with my problem.  I don't see anything about this error message in the forums and google searches. Sprint has even replaced my other reasons palm pre, and the same error occurs once I configured the exchange account. I also see the error when I set up my account on my pixi nine wives. Our pre and pixi have already exchange accounts set up with success on our phones that are hosted by sherweb. Sherweb's exchange accounts work fine. I tried to set up this account of microsoft hosted exchange 5 - 6 times with the same result. He accepts my configuration information and adds to the list of email accounts available in the meadow. However, it keeps popping up the message stating "error of security policy:"Exchange..." Tap for details"(with a yellow exclamation point). Then he said "Security policy error" the Exchange (first part of my email address) account is disabled because it is impossible to define security policies. "'Leave this option disabled' or 'delete account '. I know that something does not work because it applied a policy of password or PIN on my phone which is not necessary, unless the account has been added. I can also see it in the "Mobile devices" section of outlook web when I login. This is the place in web outlook where you can see the last time the device synchronized, if remote, you can wipe the phone etc. If anyone has an idea how to solve my problem please post. Any ideas? I'm fresh out of ideas on this issue and very frustrated by the Palm developers. Just another example of evil-development and practical tests by Palm. I hope they correct this problem on later versions, but I'm only slightly optimistic that they will never get this medium of exchange e-mail at the level necessary for the support of large corporations. What I know is that my Microsoft Hosted Exchange account works fine on a Windows Mobile phone and an iPhone 3GS (confirmed by the other coworks who have set up their phones using our Exchange services). Accordingly, I have no choice but Palm to blame for this problem instead of Microsoft. Please, Palm fully support microsoft exchange e-mail users!

After a lot of research on the subject, here is my point of view on the State of support for MS Exchange @ Palm and other companies.

Unfortunately, Palm Pre and Pixi, WebOS is not fully supported Microsoft Exchange.  This has led to numerous reports of frustrated customers and countless hours of time wasted by consumers and technical support trying to figure out how to connect these Palm devices to the MS Exchange e-mail servers.  Way to go Palm!  Provide support for all the free email accounts worldwide and decide not to develop a product that is able to support your most rich and more influential-based email clients.  These are the people who are most likely able to spend more money on your mobile products or make decisions for companies that are able to buy huge amounts of smart phones.  Way to go guys!  Penny wise and dollar foolish if you ask me!  Palm supports only partially a handful of MS Exchange security policies.  They document what they take in charge, but they do a very poor job of documenting or even explain the limitations of the software.  Their States of documentation that the security policies that are not supported will not be applied and that users will still be able to connect to the exchange server.  This is certainly not true based on the reported error and other similar user reports.  Here is how iPhone and Palm compare in regards to the support of MS exchange security policy.  Notice in the quotes below the iPhone supports the policy of 'require the encryption of devices' which is very probably used by your greater and more security conscious companies or Government institutions.  I'm sure that Palm's inability to support "device encryption" is why I get this error, even if I have really no way to prove it at the present time.  Come on Palm, if you go to support full POP3 and IMAP, you must provide the full support of the binding protocol and political security by Microsoft Exchange product.  Here is the comparison between iPhone and Palm WebOS:

' Said the site of Apple, the iPhone supports the camera allow, password enabled, allow a Simple password, alphanumeric password, Password Expiration, history of password, Maximum password attempts failed, minimum password length, maximum idle lock, policy, Minimum refresh interval complex character devices. ", require manual synchronization while roaming and - in iPhone OS 3.1 only - require Device Encryption". (13 security policies)

"Palm Web site says its WebOS 1.1 and later support active password, alphanumeric password, password history, Maximum password attempts failed, maximum length password, lock of inactivity maximum, Minimum peripheral characters complex and Password Recovery." (8 security policies)

Windows Mobile 6.1 supports all THE policies.

BlackBerry does not support the EAS (MS Exchange)

Google's Android is not compatible EAS (they may have recently released some support but not full)

Conclusion: If you want a mobile device that fully supports MS Exchange, buy something that is running Windows Mobile 6.1 (or higher) or even an iPhone 3 g (or more).  At least, until Palm decides they want to throw a development more $$ to support Microsoft Exchange E-mail to enhance their level of support.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Yahoo and Microsoft Exhange accounts on the same phone

I just bought my first BlackBerry - BB 9000 "BOLD". It was easy to get set up to send and receive on my Yahoo account. After back and forth between AT & T and Microsoft Exchange server support, on behalf of my work is finally send and receive of the BB. However - the two work emails Yahoo go to the folder of Message and Yahoo emails go to the Yahoo folder as well. But, work emails do not go in the work e-mail folder. How can I fix it?

    Add...

By default, BES email is made only in posts emails BIS icon/App are placed in their own icons, but they are still contained in the main Messages application. This is how it works by default. It is not redundant - rather, think that Messages like the Tote place, with the BIS independent icons being a filter, traction (from message) to them only messages that relate to them... but if you act on an e-mail (read, delete, etc.) in one, the change will be reflected in the other.

Your BES Admin can push an E-mail BES icon only to your device. This solution is free, but must be conducted at the level of the BES server and will affect all users on the BES server.

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB15003

Or you can get the application to empower BES Inbox. This solution costs (per user), but does not require a change at the server level and affects only a single user.

    http://www.getempower.com/Empower_BES_MailBox.php

Neither solution would do anything on Messages - will continue to contain what it contains today. All they will do is activate an additional icon on your home screen that is a filter for your BES emails only. You can hide or move the Messages icon/app out of the way, but beware - there are more that just the emails that arrive in Messages... it will come a day when you have a new message indicator and only by digging through Messages that you will be able to find this message.

I hope this helps explain how it all works!

    Good luck!

I have an account for personal e-mail from Outlook.com that Microsoft has recently migrated to a platform of Microsoft Exchange.  I also have an email account of company on Office365 on the same iPhone (6 s performer 9.3.2).  After the migration of Outlook.com, whenever I try to add the Outlook.com e-mail address, e-mail and server settings Office365 has crush Outlook.com settings.  I deleted and reinstalled the two accounts of e-mail several times.  I also reset the phone.  No luck.

  • firewalls pix and microsoft exchange

    help required

I've set up a test network for the practice of sending e-mail messages between

Send servers in windows 2000 domains different

(see attachment for the network layout) is what I'm trying to achieve

to send messages to a user in the field of cyote.com

    ([email protected] / * /) located behind a firewall pix 501 to a user

    the area of acme.com ([email protected] / * /) located behind a pix 515

network firewall has been implemented so that messages from freds for barney

are sent to an email server front-end dmz based acme.com

and are then transmitted by proxy to the backend mail server where is the mailbox of barney

located where resides on the inside interface of the firewall 515.

frontend and backend servers are members of the same active directory

area and therefore, there should be no problem of received messages to the

front-end server relayed to the back-end server.

but the problem I had is that it does not work when I send a message

Fred barney outlook on freds computer (xp-1) tells me that the message

has been sent but it never happens to the barneys mailbox there is no error message

Nowhere on sending messages, so I'm not sure that is the problem

lies with the firewall 501 does not allow messages through or the firewall 515

    not allowing messages through.

now I just read that there are problems with microsoft exchange

(in this case the Exchange 2000 with service pack 3 applied) in conjunction

with cisco firewalls, but my study guide is not very next on

    How to solve.

so this a cry for I help have been working on it for 2 weeks and have not been

to fix this anyone know what I should do to firewalls

to get this working any help will be greatly appreciated.

    PS

Outlook web app through the front-end server to barneys mailbox works

    fine (if a little slow)

the pix 501 is running ios 6.3 (4) and the 515 is running ios 7.0 (4)

    concerning

    Melvyn Brown

A simple test would be to telnet from fred's PC to the IP address of the intermediate zone "telnet x.x.x.x 25' if that allows you through this part is good. Move to the next piece of the puzzle.

As shown previously to enter ' no fixup not protocol smtp 25' to the pix.
