• Since the last update by microsoft 2009-08-11 my Pc stopped working...

  Although installation went well but since the reset, it is basically all he does... it stops of is blue screen and restarts until I finally get it in SafeMode... funny, it's all repair tools that microsoft provides only run in normal mode. But if the normal mode would go all would be well, no! SO, what can I do now except getting a MAC? It's basically Micrsoft fault. I tried restoring the system as 54 times and it works until it loads in normal mode and then the blue friggen see again. Also tried to repairs which began to work... but I think the update messed up my main drive... so any suggestions... do those repair work kits, which cost about $ 40? Or should I just reinstall the whole _ again and lose all my files... VISTA sucks big time that's for sure... I had my first blue circle after 2 hours after running this PC... XP was so much better!

  Try this free repair disk to try to repair it:

  Download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

  Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

  Data recovery:

  1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

  2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

  Download the Vista software from the link above.

  After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

  Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

  Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1 in the boot order.

  Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

  When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

  Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

  Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

  Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

• Why the link to yahoo email will nginx server? Cannot get into my mail.

  When I click on any of the yahoo mail icons, a new page opens that says; 404 not found, nginx/0.6.32

  I solved it! After that read messages from others with similar problems, follow these steps:
  go to the control panel
  then add/remove programs
  Locate the program called 'Anti Phishing Domain Advisor'
  Click on Remove to uninstall
  Try the link in your browser with the problem

  BTW, it should really be a more easy/obvious way to report this bug, but I couldn't find a (another using telephone support, I guess, but that seems silly). Perhaps it is the location of the broken link? :-)

  This seems to be a problem of compatibility on the Internet Explorer 11, sometimes this can be corrected by adding the site to your list of compatibility view.

• Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard does not completely work in Vista

  I have the MS Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.1 installed on my PC.

  I recently had a few separate issues with my computer and technology at Geek Squad did some work cleaning on my PC for best performance and to get rid of a bad program.  I am running Vista SP2.

  On my keyboard, there are a series of buttons on the top which opens to different folders, or programs.  I had to open Excel and open Word.  The others are default Media Player, email, IE 8, My Documents and my pictures.  Everything worked correctly and opened the program folder / to, before cleaning.  Now mail, IE 8, and Media Player buttons still work, but others did not.  However if I open the Microsoft Keyboard program buttons become functional and remain so until I restart the computer. The keyboard works fine otherwise.  Y at - it a boot option which can have been withdrawn inadvertently during the cleaning process, which is the cause and if so how can I have reconstitute?

  To test the response of the keys on the keyboard, use the Microsoft keyboard Diagnostics (MS Key), a utility program that is included with the Microsoft IntelliType software. To use MS Key, follow these steps.

  How can I disable the display of these messages, and the companion "connection to Microsoft Exchange has been restored"?  When there are problems connecting at work, these messages are popping up constantly and are very annoying.  I don't like what is the State of the connection, there is nothing I can do about it in any case, and I just want that status to stop these messages appearing.

  No, this is not something that is supported. VPN Client that connects to two 2 links ISP requires 2 default gateways that are active at the same time. ASA does not support this configuration. It does not support 2 default Active gateways at the same time. It supports only 2 links ISP when it is configured as a backup when the primary ISP link is down.

  However, you can configure the second supplier of access VPN site to site and the first ISP for internet access and vpn client out normal. Because with the site to site vpn, you know the static ip address of the peer, then you can create a static route to the peer pointing to the second ISP link.
