BlackBerry Z30 Z30 custom Notifications

On the Z30, is there a way to set notifications for specific contacts? On my 9310, I can go into "change sounds and Alerts ' and choose 'sounds for Contacts. Then I can add a list-specific contact and personalize it the way I want to incoming texts or calls to the sound of that person. I can choose the volume or silence, or choose a ringtone. Is it possible to do it on the Z30?

Yes, you can do quite easily on the Z30. You just open the contact in question, tap on modifier change down, then press ringtone and Notifications at the bottom and there you go with the editing. You can change the sound notifications (i.e. the ring), vibrate, LED, etc.

I hope that helps you.

I just got my new Z30, have everything set up the way I like it but I'm having a problem with the sound is when I send or receive a text. In the notifications, I got the tone on the 'present' sound for text messages, but whenever I have to send a message, it makes the 'essential '. When I receive a text makes the 'essential' sound first then the 'present' sound, or sometimes both at the same time. He does this in the Normal profile and when I set the phone to silent or vibrate it does not either sound. If I put it in phone calls that he always does the "Essentials" its transmission and reception of texts. All the sounds for other applications, including the BBM and 5 different emails, that I put in place are working properly, so it's just the SMS language that drives me crazy!

I tried to delete the texts of the hub and that did not help. I disabled the sounds for the texts and it is always the 'essential' sound.

    Help please!

You have installed all the apps that deal with notifications, i.e. custom LEDS and sound notifications for specific contacts?

  • Smartphones blackBerry Curve 8330 custom Notifications

Hi all. New Blackberry user here. Just got the unit yesterday and spent a few hours trying to get everything put in place.

The problem I have is trying to get my notifications customized to work with my contacts.

    OK, so here we are:

A sender sends me a text or email and I want to let Notifier_ChiGong as the sound for them.

B the sender sends me a text or email and I want to tell you its A on my media card to play for them.

Now, I want all the other texts and emails from all over the world (on or not on my contact list) to play lets say its B on my media card to play for these.

When I get a voice mail notification, I would sound completely different, let's say C sound of my media card to play in this one.

I tried establishing exceptions and everything, but nothing works... All emails texts and voicemail notifications the same b strong and healthy parts.

I searched the forums, but I can't understand this thing for the life of me. Everything else is coming for me as I continue to play with the device. I also spent 2 hours last night manually keying in my contacts in this unit, because my previous phone was not a smartphone, and I didn't Sync in my email software and destroy my many lists of various contacts...

Andy help would be greatly appreciated.

I copied and pasted the post below.

It's complicated for SMS ringtones, but possible. Follow the instructions here:

This work around will allow you to receive specific alerts for e-mail and messages from specific senders:

(Works with OS 4.2 and later)

    1. go to the profiles on your BlackBerry and create a custom profile, naming the name of your sender targeted.

    2. Edit and change the custom ringtones that you prefer for this contact message notifications, Messages of level 1, MMS, phone and SMS for this profile. You don't change things like the calendar, tasks, and Messenger alerts do not matter for individual users.

    3. once all your ringtone settings are defined for the new custom profile, save the changes. Now, you will be in your list of profiles and see your customized profile that there are listed with the standard.

    4. now click on the wheel, and then select new Exception.

    5. title except for what you want (would be smart to again name the name of this particular contact).

    6. in the line, click the trackball or trackwheel and select the user in your address book. They should show now in your line.

7 scroll to the bottom and change the option use the active profile in your custom group newly created profile.

    8. you can dislodge the "Custom phone Tune" box if you already have a custom phone tune for this contact, or leave it and set it in the new custom as well profile.

    9 save the changes.

Now once you have followed these for each SMS contact - click Save as indicated by the number nine.  Go back to your profile and click on normal or hard for the sound profile. Make sure that you have all of the exceptions already in your area of exception for those you did a SMS tone for. If you do, remove them so you your SMS does not work.  You can actually set your ringtones under each one that you set up as well. When you change your SMS sounds, you can click on the phone and change your ringtone to that specific one.  Hope you can understand this.

Each of us will be more than happy to help you, let know us!

Have a great day and good luck. Take advantage of your blackberry!

  • Is BlackBerry Z30 Aliendalvik signalling to bb10, good? (Notifications android on BB10?)

    Hi all

I currently own a phone of la Jolla, as well as a potential to replace it with a device (probably Z30) BB10.

    Let me explain my problem.

On the features of la Jolla, there is a problem with alert (sound/event) to run applications Android Jolla messaging system.

    For example,.

Jolla doesn't have a native Skype client. So, we use one Android. Drink whenever there is an event (call, message), it is silent - not only by sound but there is no trace of it in our events. I don't see an Android application event when I actually open Skype.

Is it not better to BB10?

I know that BB has a native Skype client, so this probably isn't a problem, but it's more a question of a general nature. I am Freelancer, using various native clients freelance (so not only a matter of Skype) are available only for Android and a few other platform which is (for my reasoning) not worth mentioning, but I need to be alerted when a message or event occurs.

I hope I did my clear inquty.

I am an old user of Nokia (before WP), and I think that, at this moment, BB has the best support of productivity with is the hub.

I hope you can help me.

    Best regards

    István

Short answer, yes - Android notifications are working properly on BlackBerry 10.

The BlackBerry Hub separates the notifications in a separate signal from the main for your email, messaging apps etc. Currently, BB10 does not differentiate between different types of Android applications and thus all notifications are simply put into notifications of power on the hub. This isn't a perfect solution (I wish that the differentiation between apps, and better integration of notifications - for example, display notifications in instant messaging applications in a similar way to BBM), but it does not work and you will not fail to notifications.

With regard to the Skype application - it is not a native BlackBerry application. I don't know if it's just door Android version on as a BlackBerry app or if it is simply provided via world of BB Android apk, but either way it is certainly not a pure BlackBerry app - it is also outdated compared with Android, making it preferable to use the latest version of Android if possible.

    I hope this helps.

  • BlackBerry Z30 incoming calls NOT Ringing - Z30

    Hello

I recently did a quick reset on my Blackberry Z30 (outfits the two buttons for volume 10 seconds), this fixed my initial problem to experience the shift answering calls.

When I get calls, now, however there is no ringing sound... I can see the incoming call and I answer the call, but there is no ringing sound.

I tried to ensure that the volume buttons have turned up full, I even checked my notification settings and made sure that they are on normal. I checked also double the settings on the normal setting, ensure that the volume meter is full.

Yet even after that, then by restarting the phone several times, still me the same problem.

Does anyone have the magical answer, I would really advice, because miss me calls because there is no ringing sound.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Have you tried changing the notification settings, check that and then to change them to what you want? Maybe something is 'stuck '...

If not, has there been any rush before the event this behavior started? You already described the shift answering calls and restarting with volume keys, but was there something before? A new application? An update of a certain type? Something else?

Or, if it was always like that? I don't think... and so began to understand what happened just before this behavior is a good first step to try to understand.

Also, what OS is your device currently running please?

    Let us know.

    Hello

    Thank you for your reply,

I tried to change the notification setting of 'silent' to 'normal' to see if it helps... but it did not help.

I have not changed anything in the settings or downloading apps, I even tried to reset some default functionality and he still refuses to make the Bell Rings when someone calls me.

The current software provides its update: OS Blackberry 10 - version of the 10.3.2.28.36 software

If you have an idea of what the issue could be just I want to know, I would rather not completely reset my phone like this would be the last resort.

UPDATED - HIS RING NOW ONCE AGAIN!

I plugged into my macbook and tried to load in the Blackberry Link software, that the software did not recognize my phone (another new question lol), it's just returned to normal, and now I can hear it ring, thank God!

  • BlackBerry Z30 trying to find my stolen BlackBerry Z30

My BlackBerry Z30 was stolen recently and it is very important that you get it back.

GPS and BlackBerry protect were both on before the phone was stolen, however when I try to follow via my computer it gives me a message saying that it was the last time my school 5 days ago and would not update the location of the phone, saying: it will be, as soon as the phone connects to the wireless network (which is highly unlikely).

Same problem when I try to use another feature of BlackBerry Protect.

Can someone help me find or connect to my phone in anyway even if it is disabled?

Any kind of help is appreciated!

Also fantastic as a phone Blackberry is, I'm surprised that someone would steal such a serious phone.  It would be difficult to sell at a good price, because most users want a smart phone and more like a toy. With several carriers, once a BB is reported stolen its registration numbers are black listed. It can no longer be activated until the original owner cancels the flight report and has removed the blacklist phone.

BB Protect would work for you if the phone can be reached by the mobile phone system and at the same time the GPS in the phone to work. If the phone has not been charged for the number of days very likely the battery is too low for any type of operation traceable. The thief would require phone charger.

Today, most people know phones can be tracked very accurately, if they can reach the network. It would be better for you that the phone has a decent password to protect your data.

I hope you said the stolen phone, and you should just get a new one. Never leave your phone on a table or in a place where anyone can quickly pick up when you're not looking. Always keep the phone cut to your belt or Pocket secure when you don't have it in your hands.

I know a woman who works in a grocery store. She put her phone down just for a moment to serve a customer for a few seconds. His phone was quickly ripped off never to see again.

I had an iPhone to the Blackberry Z30.

Has anyone kept Blackberry management track or even interested in those of us who made the switch?

So, I want to save them, after the new one set up to install them again. to could someone tell me how to proceed? Thank you very much for your support.

You can try to copy the contacts in the storage of the unit. To check that the following procedures.

    1. open the Contacts application

    2. press the Menu key (3-horizontal lines)

    3. Select your email account/Lotus Notes

    4. check first the number of contacts by sliding down from the top of the screen

    5. turn highlighted that contacts that appears

    6. press the button (to vertical 3 points)

    7. press on "select more".

    8. you need to highlight all contacts (be patient doing especially if you have a lot of contacts)

    9. at the bottom of the screen, select ' copy to '.

    * You will be directed to a screen where you choose where it will be saved - YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT LOCAL CONTACTS IS THE ONE SELECTED ONLY

    10. tap done or save

    * The copy process will start.

The process can take some time depending on the contacts numbers which will be copied.

After the copy process, control local Contacts (Menu Button(3-horizontal lines) > local Contacts.)

  • BlackBerry Z30 continuous restarts on my Z30 since 10.3.2 update

I got my blackberry Z30 this year because I wanted to try something new and I've always wanted a phone smart blackberry.

When I had my blackberry it was 10.2.1 and he was fast and fun and never gave me problems

A week later, I get a 1.7 GB OS 10.3.2 update... I downloaded the update and installed on a Wi - Fi... Since that time my Z30 has been restarted over and over again and crashing

I tried to reload the OS several times but it does not work... And I'm about to give up...
    PLEASE HELP ME!

There are 12 different versions of the 10.3.2 package OS... perhaps you use one that is corrupt? We cannot know for sure, unless you reveal the 4th byte of your operating system:

You also did not reveal the specific method which you attempted a refill of OS and also have not actually said if the charge itself was successful or not (you said only that "it does not work"... where it is difficult to deduce the real meaning). Some methods are "cleaner" than others, but we really cannot (lack of details more far) is to give you all the methods in the hope that you can find one that will work for your situation.

Official methods, which will be controlled as to what exact OS versions are available:

Unofficial methods, which are cleaner and allow you to choose any version of the OS you want, including older versions (if those who prove to be more stable for you) as well as those who may be your carrier (or anyone they control your offers) delays in approval:

Of course, before you start this, you want a good backup link, a manual copy of the memory of your device to your PC and complete documentation of your configuration (identification information of account, adding applications, configurations, etc.). Sometimes, restoring a backup returns unit corruption even, must be eliminated and reconfiguration from scratch can solve that. (This may or may not be without object for you... depending on the specific results of the recharge that you already tried).

Be aware of the risks of 10.3.2 however... There are two things to worry about. First of all, be 100% sure that you know your BBID identifiers... If you do not, you may make your useless device to anyone, including yourself. Second, once you move to 10.3.2, you cannot fall back to 10.3.1 or earlier, by any medium (for example, even the unofficial AutoLoaders can not overcome this restriction anti-secours).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Z30 Wifi - connected but no internet

    Hello!

I m new to Blackberry and just received my Z30 (that I really like a lot!)

I still have a problem with the wifi connection. I managed to connect to my wifi router. In the settings, I see that the connection is active. The signal is good.

But on the top bar, I still see the 3G icon (instead of the wifi icon). I also received a message that my wifi has only limited access to internet.

I know the router works, because all my other devices (for example the laptop I m typing this message on) do not have access to the internet.

Are there special settings, I have to check on my blackberry z30?

I found the wifi settings advanced with a lot of technical information about the wifi connection - which, this information, if I post to help solve my problem?

Thank you very much for your advice!

Try to go to settings network connections and disable data services and then try to reconnect to the wifi

  • Battery blackBerry BlackBerry Z30 Z30 problem

My Blackberry z30 battery lasted 2-3 days, lasts 10 hours now, beyond being enough heating. How can I fix?

Apart from being a hardware defect, most of the time it's a software problem.  I guess you did a restart to the phone to see if it would fix it.

If you have recently installed new software in the phone, look at what you have installed. To see if that solves it uninstall.

A more radical approach is to do a wipe on the phone and re - install the operating system.  Make sure that your data is backed up before you do, so that you can restore the data.

If all the foregoing does not fix the phone, then this is very probably a hardware failure. This wouldl must be handled by the authorized Blackberry service.  If it is a new phone I think it is guarantee for it.
