  • Windows 7 sticker faded product key

I recently had a new hard drive installed in my laptop and now the temporary version of windows 7 wonder activation product key.  However, the sticker on the bottom has completely rubbed off but I found the old id product windows 7 and the binary digital product ID came with the laptop.  One of these numbers can help me go back to my beginning winows 7 key product code provided with the laptop?

Is there anything I can do to get my original product key code?

    Option 1:

If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.

    Option 2:

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.

    Option 3:

If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.

  • Windows 7 Professional - activation error

    Separated from this thread.

    Hello

I have a same problem with HP EliteBook 8470p. This laptop was purchased with windows to Windows 7 Pro x 64 bit. I had a password on the Bios, so I contacted HP had an update of the Bios to remove the password. This has been done about six months ago. There is a month that I had to reinstall windows on this laptop, so I reinstalled by using the same product key for the product that has been used before. Now I get the message that this copy of Windows is not genuine.  Here's the report from the Diagnostic tool:

The link doesn't seem to want to work more. But the link posted below someone seems to work:

How to install the theme for Windows XP Professional?

    Hi Shubham,

The Microsoft Download Center a lot of themes, or you can use your favorite search engine to search the Web for more themes of third-party websites.

Note:   software use of third parties, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Can I use an existing Windows 7 Professional Upgrade DVD for Windows 7 Professional upgrade using the keys I bought instead of loading down?

I've updated three of my computers from Windows XP Professional for Window 7 Professional using kits of DVD I bought. I have three sets of Window 7 professional DVD in my possession. I bought a new license [facility provided by Microsoft key] for my ThinkPad. I ordered also accompanying the DVD, which I imagine will happen next week. Rather than wait for the DVD, can I use one of my existing 32 Bit Windows DVD for installation to upgrade with the new license key that I got from Microsoft?

No problem - but you might want to wait, if your existing DVD is the original version, because a new will have SP1 integrated, so it'll even some hassles :)

  • I don't think I should have to pay for the new Windows program. I always have an active product key. What can I do?

XP came with my laptop. Now I have to start all over again and get a new hard drive. The rescue disc does not work and I can't get a new manufacturer, my computer is too old. I don't think I should pay for a new Windows program. I always have an active product key. I would like to get the program from Microsoft using my current key. What can I do?

I do not speak for Microsoft. However, I saw many times when working with clients in your situation with regard to the reactivation of windows because of the failure of a component. They are not, however, responsible for providing you with a windows disc that should be provided by your computer manufacturer. However, if I were you, I would ask to borrow a disc of windows of a friend or a neighbour then contact Microsoft for activation, making sure to explain the circumstances surrounding the re-setup.

  • What is the web server integrated for Windows XP Professional?

    Hello

I would like to know what the web server integrated for Windows XP Professional.

I don't know of a free web server like Apache or IIS.

I want to host my site on the net using the web server integrated in XP (not IIS).

    Thanks in advance.

It is not just any server web, other than IIS, integrated with Windows XP Professional.

You think perhaps of Personal Web Server (PWS) which was part of the old operating systems like Windows NT.  Which no longer exists in Windows XP Professional - it has been replaced by IIS.

  • Help with error message: "Windows Vista Home Premium product key you typed in is invalid for activation.

Original title: help with error message... Please...!

I use a desktop PC of HP Pavilion a6202.uk with Windows Vista Home Premium & Microsoft Office 2003.  When I am back from vacation & turned on my PC, my password was OK, but rather to raise Windows, I received the following message: "Windows Vista Home Premium product key you typed in is invalid for activation.  He then listed the following options: "access your computer with reduced functionality (this will allow you to buy a product online key)" or "Type a different product key" or "contact HP to help solve this problem."

I have no idea what a product key is and don't have anything either in the type comes to connect as usual.  I can't access anything to be same to reduced functionality.  I can not type in a new product key because I did not.  I can not contact HP - phone number does not... !!

I'm quite desperate, I travel docs to print and e-mail to answer and I don't have any idea what is happening.  Please can someone help with this not very IT clued-up DTP...!

    Moved from Vista programs Forum.

You should have a sticker with the product key on your computer, on the bottom, or under the battery cover.  I try to type this key in and see if it accepts it.  If this isn't the case, you might not have an authentic version of Windows installed.
