Blocks of text overlapping fill Uni transparent look in the press

Hi all

Looks like I need help again once.

I have three blocks of text overlapping (to some extent) (all 100% opacity, red background fill, fill black middle and above no fill). They look good on the monitor to identity card, but they show a transparent way when printing. I can clearly see the Red bottom showing through the average black person (in the region of overlap) and the top white text looks a little red tinted (in the same region overlapping). What I am doing wrong?

Thank you for your help.

The preference of the appearance of Black allows you to set whether the default [Black] swatch overprinted automatically.

Offset inks are normally transparent and the precision with which a black overprint ink display is managed by assigned with the document CMYK profile. The degree of transparency depends on the situation of the press, so overlay would be most obvious on a no bed sheet and this is reflected in the allocation of profile during separation overprint preview is on.

This is Euroscale Coated followed SWOP bed

Older profiles did not show the effect of black overprint, so if you have turned off the color management you wouldn't see overprinting of black.

  • Removal of specific blocks of text without fill color

    I was wondering if someone might be able to tell me in simple in javascript to traverse the entire block of text in my document that are NOT filled with the following RGB values...

  • Blocks of text overlapping

    I work in InDesign and want to know how can I overlap the text blocks so that one is visible behind the other? I've done this before and I vaguely remember that I had secret plot of a text in an object but I don't clearly see a way to do it. When I arranged one behind the other, the image blocks in front of just the one in the back.

    Thanks, but I finally realized that managers two text has been set for the package.

  • I can auto adjust all the blocks of text with overset text?

    Due to several factors (change computers, versions of different fonts, etc.), I had to change most of the fonts in my text-heavy document.

    There are a lot of charts and tables in this 125-page document, and now most of all text frames have overset text.

    The new font is in fact identical to the previous one, however, there are a few differences that are causing it take more text frames. I tried to adjust the line spacing in my character and paragraph styles, but these do not seem to effect.

    Is there a way to automatically adjust all frames in excess to account for the new font?

    Thanks in advance.

    Not sure that the result will be 100% desirable, but there is a way to define all frames to auto-size...

    Run find/replace and choose the tab object.

    Down, choose the Document research: menu. Choose the blocks of text such as: menu.

    Click the icon of glass/frame next to the search Object Format field:

    In the Options of Format object search dialog box, choose Auto setting 'Off' on the text size Options > menu automatic sizing:

    Click OK, and then click the icon / window next to the subject of change Format field:

    In the change object Format Options dialog box, choose 'Height' only on the text size Options framework Auto > auto-size menu, and then click the up button in the Center in the framework - pinning proxy:

    Note: Another option for pinning would be better according to your presentations, but this setting will make executives grow at the bottom, which seems the most logical... in most cases.

    Click OK, and then change all.

  • Block of text options

    Hi, I use CS6 in Saudi Arabia. When I put a new block of text with multiple columns on a page, the cursor moves automatically to the right column. In English text, I can't start at the top of the left column. Who can help?

    Use indesgn ME?, try to make the text with the tool of Type (T) block, not ME Type tool and make sure that the language is English on Control Panel.

  • by selecting all the blocks of text on all visible layers

    I want to select all the blocks of text on all visible layers.

    the script below will select all the blocks of text, even in groups, but if the layer with the text is invisible the script error. (target layer cannot be changed)

    If (app.documents.length > 0) {}

    var doc = app.activeDocument;

    var numTextFrames = 0;

    for (i = 0; i < doc.textFrames.length; i ++) {}

    textArtRange = doc.textFrames [i];

    textArtRange.selected = true;

    }

    }

    So I made this script to select blocks of text on only visible layers, but now missing text belonging to a group.

    var layerCount = activeDocument.layers.length;

    var docSelected = activeDocument.selection;

    for (i = 0; i < layerCount; i ++)

    {

    currentLayer = activeDocument.layers [i];

    If (currentLayer.visible == visible)

    {

    for (j = 0; j < currentLayer.textFrames.length; j ++) {}

    textArtRange = currentLayer.textFrames [j];

    textArtRange.selected = true;

    }

    }

    }

    can someone tell me why it is not some frames of text bound in a group when made this way and is it possible to get all managers of related texts selected on all visible layers?

    Thank you

    Duane

    Try this:

    if (app.documents.length > 0 ) {
        var doc = app.activeDocument;
        var numTextFrames = 0;
        for (  i = 0; i < doc.textFrames.length; i++ ) {
            try {
            textArtRange = doc.textFrames[i];
            textArtRange.selected = true;
            } catch (e) {}
            }
        }

  • creating a table of blocks of text [AS2]

    Hello

    I want to create a table of text blocks.

    The code I use is.

    for (c=0; c<5; c++) {
        tf = ("test_txt"+c.toString());
        this.createTextField(tf, 10, c*20, 80, 40, 20);
    }

    a = [test_txt0, test_txt1, test_txt2, test_txt3, test_txt4];

    for (c=0; c<5; c++) {
        a[c].text = "foo " + c.toString();
        a[c].border = true;
        a[c].borderColor = 0x00FF00;
        a[c].textColor = 0x0000FF;
        a[c].size = 24;
    }

    The result I want from the code is 5 spead of frames of text on the stage, but only the last block of text is created.

    What is the right way to create the frames in a loop and then having accsesible in a table?

    Thanks in advance

    The second argument of the createTextField method is the depth.  If you keep by specifying the same depth, you replace whatever you place there whenever you assign to something new at this depth.

  • SpellUI Feature request: processing the change of words in the middle of a block of text improved

    I use Squiggly 0.5, Flex 3.5, using AdobeSpellingUI.swc.  It seems that when a text box is analyzed on a CHANGE event, SpellUI will not be considered the last word, regardless of where is the location of the cursor.  that translates into two odd behavior:

    (1) when you type a word in the middle of a block of text, Squiggly underlines each partial word until the word is correct (for example when typing "basketball", "basketba" gets highlighted)

    (2) when you type a word in the middle of a block of text, a misspelled word in the end does not get stressed.

    Desired behavior: rather than coverage by ignoring the last token, ignore the token before the selectionBeginIndex/anchorIndex

    Hi Brad,

    Many thanks for this note. We checked. We are working on this issue and seeks to integrate the fix in future releases.

  • Overset text when you create a block of text to another object

    I apologize if this has been answered in other discussions, but the search function does not work now. I am trying to create a block of text on top a .pdf bound. I can create the block of text, but as soon as I enter the text, I get the text marker in excess on the frame, despite the fact that the frame is big enough to accommodate the text that I entered. This happens if I simply enter a single period.

    If I click on "mount the frame to the content" he develops vertically the text block until it is large enough to have a part that leaves at the edge of the linked .pdf below, and the text that I entered appears here. Of course, now, I have a block of text that is 20 times bigger that I need, and I still have no text in the position where it is needed.

    Here is a link to a screenshot:

    I'm still a newb on InDesign, and I hope that there is an easy solution to embarassingly on this point I should have, but any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    You probably dressing applied on the structure with the PDF file. Either remove it, or open the options of text block for your frame on top and check the box to ignore the dressing.

  • White type in the text box with fill with transparency

    This page of color in my INDD document a lot of transparency on this - in the following stacking order:

    1. downstairs are two boxes gradients covering the entire page.

    2. next is a background photo that's an advantage to feathers.

    3. then comes my text box that floats over a part of the photo in the background. The text box is filled with a gradient purple feather. The text box contains 8.5 PT. White type (Helvetica Neue Medium).

    4. a transparent dingbat straddles a corner of the text box.

    Where the white guy is pictured in the background, a color is reflected type. I have not noted on the PDF, but of course, the work of back of the printer, you can see.

    I thought all type except automatically eliminated black?

    I pulled out the file using PDFX-3 (1.3) because my printing does service provider ' t supports the 1.4. I underdstand this version flattens transparency. I scanned "Print Production Guide for transparency" Adobe and learned that the areas of complex transparency can cause unexpected results. Is what happened here?

    When I opened the flattening of transparencies and he asked to highlight objects with 'Text of Raster-Fill and Stroke' or 'Text described', this type area is highlighted. No other boxes on this page type were noted, even where it overlaps the background photo (which has applied feather).

    Several other transparent dingbats (such as duplication of the text box) are also highlighted as 'Raster - Fill and Stroke text'. They are all on the highest layer (type).

    This isn't a disaster - it's still readable - but the details of the publication who are affected, which is important. Maybe next time I won't be as lucky. What would I do different?

    It is possible in the more recent versions of ID to the value of transparency to the object, STROKE, fill and levels of content, and I suspect that you have applied your effects to the object level. I was able to recreate what you see as well by using the gradient feather tool and in the effect controls panel and using the pen it y to the entire object. Oddly enough, once the gradient feather tool has been used I couln can't access options in the effect controls panel or in the menu object.

    In all cases, if you can, select the block of text, open the effect controls panel or object > Effects > menu feather degraded, remove the gradient feather and reapply just the filling.

    If you are not able to do so, copy the text, delete the block of text and create a new and paste back the text, and then select the image and apply the gradient feather to complete using the effect controls panel or the menu object.

  • I placed the text (no fill) over a picture box in InDesign, but when it prints the text has a white background, blocking the image.

    I placed the text (no fill) over a picture box in InDesign and it looks great on the screen. However, when I print the document, the text has a fill of white United behind him. Any suggestions as to what is happening?

    Thanks Peter.

    It seems that I had an outer glow effect turned on so that the 'text' (and not the object) and causing the text to be printed with a white background. Still don't understand why this would happen, but at least we have thought of it.

  • Blocks of text on the Pages of body 'Buried' after update of the Page Master

    I have a background full screen on my main page (on the left in this case) that integrates static graphics and borders for certain master pages. I use the borders/boxes for NOTE and END of text on some pages. Blocks of text on these master pages do not overlap. I added text blocks with my icons and the text of the note to these body Pages that I need them. All great so far.

    I decided to update the background chart on page master to change colors, etc.. All files are linked.

    Now, with funds master page updated, these pages where I added text blocks are 'buried' as on a sublayer. I checked that my Master Page background images are "sent back". I tried to wear my text boxes at the front on the Pages of my body, but they are still hidden. Interesting as the anchored frame (the icon), I attached to each NOTE or TIP point appears, but the text is not. Also, I can see and select the contours of the block... the text is hidden. If I drag the fame to another part of the document (for example, on top of another Master Page text frame sank, while the text is displayed.

    There is no image on the master page to the enclosed area. I wonder if that's what I need trouble. Just add a backstory (not attached flow)?

    Advice before I go and screw something else?

    It is what it is supposed to look like (1). Image (2) what I mean now.

    V7Page.jpg

    Thanks Arnis,

    It was the property of skin! How simple... I didn't have on this subject.

    Solved!

    To answer you question, however... my approach for the construction of this new model was:

    1. I created a graph from bottom (full page) to contain the image of brand and imported/positioned.
    2. I placed the header and a footer frame and filled with content.
    3. I placed the blocks of text with streams (as a single stream in this document).

    I'm not dropping blocks of text for the content of the body... except for these tips and remarks. I don't want to use a workflow for this because I never know where they'll pop up and I want to be able to (position) specifically on each page. Is this a good approach?

    Yes, I'm aware of the continuous line down the block of text NOTE you mentioned. Originally, I had all the text within the limits. When I have updated master, all offbeat pages (only in blocks of text body page with notes/tips). I repositioned and they flow very well now.

    Thank you very much for your help continues with it. Why these problems always pop nitpciky - up to date - not when things are slow!

  • graphic block obscures text frame, even if the text is on a higher layer

    I have a page of photos, each in its own framework and each with its own text block containing the caption for the photo. Behind all this and covering most of the page, I created an image of basic graphics in which I placed a picture as the background. I've done several times before, as recently as last month. This time, for some reason some unfathomable background obscures the text captions, as if the background was on a top layer (but it isn't). But he isn't obscuring the photos, only the legends. Another strange thing: InDesign error text in excess, which is clearly not. I tried to juggle the autour layers to see if that would solve the problem. No dice. The only thing that makes visible captions is to completely remove the graphic block. I tried just using a fill color in the frame, instead of the photo in the background, but the result is the same. I also tried to reduce the opacity of the fill/photo, but all that is to reduce the color in the white frame (the color of the page), it doesn't make transparent. I can make the image smaller, and this makes the text 'behind' it visible. But the color/background < rectangle > is the purpose of down in the layers list. It just does not behave like that. One last thing: I can go to the layers palette and hide the rectangle of <>by clicking the eyeball, but she is hiding it, it does not show the text 'behind' she captions. I suspect that an update shifted to creative cloud can be loaded here.

    You have the text wraps not enabled for your background image, it pushes the text out of the text frame, which, of course, is causing overset text and you you see is not the text more. Select the inage background, choose the skin for Windows and click the more to the left to turn it off.

  • Help with the status button widget – I want the button to be transparent, but not the text!

    Basically I have a few images which passed hovered, I you want to lighten and text to appear (it's for a portfolio, so I want the title of the project and a very brief description appear when each image is hovered over). To do this, I had to use the status button widget and set its real part of white button, opacity of 50%, while the image lightens when hovered over. However when I do this the text reduced to an opacity of 50%, but when I select the bit of the text itself, he always says 100% opacity. I need the text to be 100% opacity and non-transparent so it can be easily read.

    Looks like you apply opacity to all button instead of simply filling. When you set the opacity? You should be setting the opacity of the background of the button by using the opacity of fill not the opacity of the effects...
