Blu - Ray via HDMI

I have a problem playing Blu Ray movies on my LCD TV off of my computer.  The movies play fine on the computer.  However, as soon as I connect my TV via an HDMI cable, a message appears telling me that I can't view the content in the current format.  Did someone having / had the same problem?  Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Have you tried to disconnect the laptop screen?

But how can I be sure all features dedicated programs Acer are deferred, because they do not seem to be available on the Acer site and there is no certainty Vista restore won't work until 8 years old or any of the software pre-loaded on my BluRay 6920 Dolby theater sound system is compatible to Windows 8?

    UPDATE:

Date problem solved: I came across an article on ebay when getting a new screen for my netbook 521. It was for a battery CMOS 6920 and mentioned the date zero issue and need to change the battery every 3 years or more.

DATE NOW MAINTAINED AND FUNCTIONALITY OF VISTA FULL RESTORED, HOORAY!

Have tried two mechanics and this forum for a solution, why the hell does someone knows about it. Of course really, now the 6920 was demoted to essentially use of entertainment by acquiring the very portable but still hi-def output 521

  • Satellite A660-1DZ - reading Blu - ray HDMI by TVe

I have connected the PC to a TV Philips 42 "with capacity of 1080 p and HDMI 1. 3 has control. I chose TV as the only display (Fn + F5 function) device.
The default resolution emerged as 1920 x 1080. DVD plays without problem with the Toshiba drive group and upscaling on.

I just bought the blu - ray disc of experience OpusArte. It loads it starts playing with the Group DVD of Corel player. Then every 3 or 4 seconds the sound is interrupted - i.e. stop and stars again. Also, the sound and vision are out of sync. It's almost as if the sound is taken off the drive in 'packages' and joins are audible.
I can't really find the settings to change the audio - it crosses 2 stereo channels.
If I change the resolution of the TV from 1920 x 1080 to 1280 x 720 he played okay until about two minutes before the end of an element when the noise stops and restarts all of a sudden.
Playback on the PC without the connected TV is OK.

I don't know what blu - ray resolution is supposed to play in, but I tried from the looks of the same photo at the same time.
I also noticed that the PC using Intel Graphics all the time despite a Nvidia card. I bought this laptop particular, partly because he had blu - ray and HDMI capability. Also the Nvidia graphics do not appear to be used. I wonder if the processor is not dealing with the video and audio?

Any help or ideas on this would be very welcome.

    Thank you

HP Media Smart seems to have asked on 3-11, so I can only assume it is the latest version. Gawd knows where you fined the version number on it.

When I put a Blue-ray disc in the smart software HP Medic works very well. I can see and watch the movie. When I try to connect my TV via VGA or HDMI I see that the menus and the HP Media Smart interface. There is just a black screen where the movie should play.

The thing works very well for a regular DVD via HDMI or VGA... problem seems the disc blue ray only.

    Thoughts?

Nevermind I got it. There are two ways to fix.

The TV as the primary monitoring, or extend the desktop to the 2nd monitor.

  • New Blu - Ray HDMI sound problem

Whenever I play a most recent blu - ray with the Mediasmart DVD application disc, I get only sound through my speakers laptop even if my TV is plugged into the HDMI port and I can say that the port is the current output device into the cursor of the mouse on the sound icon on the taskbar.  I updated the driver program and its Mediasmart as much as I could.  If I play an old blu - ray or DVD, the sound comes out of the TV very well.  In addition, any other application that uses sound works fine too.

I tried the suggestion of HP in the FAQ where they tell me to put the "SPDIF (Digital out via HP docking station)' as the default in the sound control panel device.  But I don't get all the sounds for any application to do this.  I've noticed that the SPDIF device using IDT audio codec high definition, which is the only sound driver that I can update.  The NVIDIA HDMI output device which is under it in the control panel uses the NVIDIA High Definition audio instead, and I don't know how update if necessary.  Any suggestions?

BTW, I use a laptop HP HDX 16 with Vista Home premium 64-bit.

I had the same problem.  Here's what worked for me:

    Remove the drive blueray disc.

    Reboot the laptop.

Turn on the TV and select it's an HDMI input.

Connect the HDMI to the TV cable to the laptop.

The display shall transfer to the TV (laptop becomes black)

    Open the Mediasmart drive.

    Select DVD

    Open "Settings" (the gear symbol)

    Click the tab "Audio".

    Select "HDMI passthrough" and apply.

NOW, put the blueray disc in the drive.

Give it some time to start on its own.

(Note; If you try to adjust the "settings" with a disc in the drive, or without going through the HDMI cable connected, the "HDMI" passthrough not appear as an option.)

Now that I have followed this procedure, I got no additional problem. TV audio plays, not the laptop, and I can use my home theater sound system to take the "audio" television and he takes in my cable box (and increase the volume of the TV at the bottom).

I hope this helps. I was pulling on my hair until I discovered this. Let us know if it works for you.

  • TV can not see blu - ray Sony BDP-S5100 player connected by hdmi

How can I get my LG TV to recognize my drive blu - ray Sony BDP-S5100, connected by a hdmi cable high speed.  Television can see my fine decoder, but cannot see the BDP-S5100, showing instead a "NO SIGNAL" message.

I spent the HDMI cables, HDMI, and always the cable box ports is recognized but not Blu - ray player.

Twice the Sony Blu - ray player has managed to get his screen on the TV for a few seconds and then back to 'NO SIGNAL'.

Tried the STOP button - on the player! -for a little more than 10 seconds.  Nothing.  Everything off, then back up again.  No difference.  Because the Blu - ray player is not appear on the screen, I can't change any settings in this topic.

    Help?  I need clarification.

    Thank you

  • You can play itunes from a computer via a Sony blu - ray with a wi - fi connection?

I would like to listen to the playlist on my desktop that is connected to a wireless router. Can my blu - ray receive and play this music? How do I configure this?

    Thank you-

    Cindy

You can set up your computer as a DLNA server and access playlist from iTunes in the Blu - ray player using the DLNA feature. iTunes software can stream music using the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) technology if it is connected to a file-sharing application.

Some examples of file sharing applications (Media Server):

    • Windows Media Player
    • Software VAIO Media Server
    • Media Server DLNA Serviio
    • Twonky suite
    • EyeConnect UPnP AV Streaming media

Instructions for the Computer Configuration such as DLNA server are mentioned on the technical support article below:

    http://www.KB.Sony.com/selfservice/documentLink.do?externalId=C1019860

NOTE: Not all Blu - ray players are compatible DLNA. To see if your player is compatible DLNA, check the features that are available through the manuals/Specs/warranty section after you enter model # Blu - ray drive in the link mentioned below:

  • Toshiba 42WL67Z - no picture via hdmi and vga

    Hello

After a power outage, my 42WL67Z (Regza LCD) no longer displays a picture via hdmi and vga.

The computer receives a TV signal, it detects the screen when connected and offers the usual option (duplicate or prolong the display, screen resolution), but no image is displayed.

    The OSD works well.

    Ideas?

    > Ideas?

I think that you first need to connect to another device (DVD player, Blu - Ray player, etc.) on television and must choose the right channel to enter the settings.
If TV continues not to receive all the signals of such device, it means you have a hardware problem.

  • Problem reading with film in Blu - ray 3D on Satellite P750 / 02Q

Hi all, I recently bought the laptop Toshiba 3D (P750 / 02Q). In my attempt to watch a movie on Blu - ray 3D, he failed twice. I received a message 'is not capable of reading 3D screen connected to your player. On the other title 3D Blu - ray, they say somethng in the lineage of I don't have a 3D player.

I use the WinDVD pre-installed for Toshiba, version 10.0.5.822
On the NVIDIA site, in the section "Download the Drivers", the current version of the driver installed in my computer after completing a sweep, is 267.44. There is a new driver available for NVIDIA GeForce GT 540 M 275.33.

I'm not sure if this wil solve my problem. I also hesitate if I need to contact support for drivers certified for my laptop Toshiba. The P750 / 02Q is a recent model of liberation and I find very little support on the mytoshiba site.

Since it is an Australian model of Toshiba, I suggest check this Toshiba driver page:

Here you must update the driver display and Toshiba Video Player
