Blue screen come when you try to install a printer with a disk

I tried to install a new Dell V313w printer, it starts to install & then the blue screen appears. It happened 4 times. the codes are 0X0000007E 0XC0000005, 0x00000000, 0XF7A117C0, 0XF7A114BC. I use Windows XP. Help please.

It can help to look at the files minidump against accidents with a debugger.

Can you zip the minidump in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder files and (provide link) available via Windows Live SkyDrive or similar site?

The following link has information about the use of Windows Live SkyDrive:

http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02dB-4665-993a-08d865088d65

If you have problems to compress the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the desktop

In addition, you do not necessarily have compress the minidump files, you can download one at a time.

Seems to be a problem with McAfee Antivirus. I would like to start trying to update McAfee to the latest version and see if that allows you to install the updates. If this does not work, then try disabling McAfee and see if updates through. If this isn't the case, then you must remove McAfee and install another AV, such as MSE http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ and see if updates through.

    4. now, go to the C:\Windows\system32\drivers folder
    5. what version is the usbprint.sys file?

You have a copy of each file in C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386?  If so, what are the versions of these files?

If the usbprint.sys and usbmon.dll in C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 files are identical (or older) versions that the corresponding files in C:\Windows\system32 and C:\Windows\system32\drivers, copy the C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 files into their appropriate folders.  Then restart.

  • Blue screen error when you try to print Adobe PDF files

Original title: the computer crashes when I try to print Adobe PDF files.

I unintalled and reinstalled remains 9.3.3 and it still won't print. The OS crashes when you try to print a .pdf file. I can open the document and view the file but not print, just the blue screen and restarts. I opened a word document, print and print text files. It will print anything but Adobe files. Is there any help out there?

    HonoriusIII

Thank you for your support and help Sicard. I finally got to the last version of Adobe as the culprit. It seems that the latest version 9.3.3 was causing problems. I uninstalled the software, cleaned the registry and other remains and installed the various editions of Adobe. Seems that Vista likes only one software version which proved Adobe 8.0. Once I installed the software, found a few .pdf documents and tried to print. Not only did it print well, it was very fast. Of all the places to find the 8.0 Adobe has been installed on my recovery disks. I don't think Microsoft product (s) are the root cause. Something in Adobe was the cause of the crash. I have the error message has not write against accidents, but it dumped memory and restart is fine, no conflict of driver. Only thing I did after each accident was to defragment. the hard drive and RAM by using certain tools. Vista ran fine since. I know a lot of people out there do not like Vista, but I did have a lot of problems with the software. I found problems with other types of competing software and work with software developers using their products in beta. The crash of the problems were not these beta products. I believe in keeping software simple and effective, it seems that Adobe will conversely making it too complicated software and an application's entire concept.

    Thanks for you help,

    Original title: Installation software error

I am trying to install a wireless printer Canon on my new laptop Dell with Windows 8 but I get error: to install the software, you must log on as a member of the Administrators group.  I'm naïve - I'm the only person who uses this laptop and have used the one and the only password for the connection.

    Solution... for me at least:

(First of all, copy the installer to a flash drive)  I use Windows 7 Enterprise and have tried many combinations to run the installation program. The bit end who works is to restart the computer, connect to the machine as an administrator or another local user on the computer that is part of the local Administrators group, THEN Rclick Installer and run as administrator.

  • 0x800A0046 error when you try to install the updates

    From: RCTaubert

I just did a clean install of Vista Ultimate.  After downloading all the Vista updates, using Windows Update.  More updates installed for a few failed. I reinstalled Office Pro 2007.  I tried to install "Microsoft Update so I can get the Vista & Office updates on a single screen.

From the "Windows Update" screen, I clicked on 'Get updates for more products'.  Which takes me to '

http://www.update.Microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/vistadefault.aspx?ln=en-us '.  I except the "terms of use" and click on "install".  I click on UAC to continue and immediately meet with the error message and the next failure: Microsoft Update could not be installed on your computer

Make sure that you log on as an administrator or as a member of the Administrators group, and then try again.

    More troubleshooting options

If your computer is connected to a network and the problem persists, contact your system administrator to see if your Microsoft Update settings are managed by using Group Policy. If your computer is not connected to a network, or if your system administrator has not disabled Microsoft Update, check if the Windows Update service is disabled or stopped. For information about how to start a service, search help and Support on your computer.

Note: If you encounter problems with the installation of Microsoft Update, you can continue to get updates for your computer by going to Windows Update in Control Panel.  [Error number: 0x800A0046]

    Hi n m,

Boot you from the DVD to start the installation, or have you started the installation in the existing version of Windows?

I would like to know if you want to perform a new installation or an upgrade installation.

You can not install Windows on an unallocated partition, if you install vista on brand\fresh the new hard disk, you will need to create partitions on the hard disk.

Method 1:  Format the partition and then try to install Windows Vista.

Important: The applications on the computer and all data will be lost when you format (New Installation) of the partition.

Method 2: You can follow the steps mentioned in the article below

  • Script error when you try to install Flash Player 18.

, I get a script error when you try to install Flash Player 18. The error box says "line of Script error 202 tank 13 Unable to set property"innerHTML"undefined or null references code 0 URL C://.../Downloads/flashplayer18ax_ra_install.exe/160" and "undefined" is on the screen of the installer after I closed the error box.  I'm on a Dell Inspiron, IE 11.0.9600.17843, Windows 7 Home Premium Svc Pack 1.

I get this same error box any installer that I use for Flash Player 18.  The error box appears immediately after I launch the installer. I reinstalled flash player 17 successfully two days without problem, but of course Flash Player 17 does not now work on web sites.  I ran the Adobe flash player Uninstaller a couple of times between tries - same result, same script error box.  I've lost count of how many times I tried to install it and my fingers are raw...

Roughly the same time the error box appears or a second or later, my Norton Insight pops up a box that says that Norton has not enough information about this program (the installation program, I guess), to recommend this program, but I don't think that it prevents the installation program to run. Or maybe it is?

This problem seems to come from the installer of Flash Player, but I don't see anything from Adobe on this matter.  I tried running as administrator, I disabled the parts of Norton to see if it is this error source - I've searched for hours on the internet and I can't find answers.  I've never had a Flash Player update problem so far.  Anyone can understand this or point me in the right direction?   Thank you.

    Hi all

Installer online team was interested in to this yet and the DPI setting as the culprit.  If the DPI setting is not set to 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% returns the script error.  If you are DPI setting is set to something else, assign him one of them please and Setup online should work.  The team is working on a fix for this.

    To check/change the DPI setting:

    1. Start the control panel and go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display
    2. In the left menu, select set size custom text (PPP)
    3. In the Windows Setup custom DPI select 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% in the menu drop-down
    4. Click OK
    5. Select apply
    6. Open a session/disable
    7. Online installer should now run without displaying the script error.
