  Although not onboard chip ships bluetooth in these machines, if you plug an external USB bluetooth device then providing you install the following additional packages:
  * gnome-bluetooth
  * bluez-utils
  It works perfectly!

  This is done easily by "synaptic" or via a terminal:

  Bq. sudo apt - get install gnome-bluetooth bluez-utils
  Then outgoing/incoming log and you can
  * Find a file in file manager, right click "send to", select bluetooth and it will start scanning for phones/PDAs etc.
  * An applet appear where you can set up the bluetooth, opportunity to discover, name of receipt of file etc.

  I have a presario cq61 computer and there is a bluetooth symbol on the lower bar, but it's a red (and blue) color.  I believe that means that bluetooth is installed on this computer but is not enabled.  When I try to configure it via the control panel the following message to come up "run a legacy CPL high microsoft windows" and then says in a box of Assistant bluetooth - "blue tooth device has not been found please make sure that your device is powered.  My operating system is vista - help help help

  I'm totally confused, I bought a T500 not so long ago, but I can't bring up the control panel bluetooth at all!   My laptop spec says on the order form:

  It's a 64 bit version of Windows 7... and nada.  When I click on the Start button and type bluetooth, blue Bluetooth control panel happens but it absolutely nothing happens when I click it.  I tried to do a right click on it and it works like an administrator but no dice.

  Hi Ram38,

  Here is a document for the no sound on speakers (Windows 7) that may solve your problem of helmet. It gives control with a USB connection, you would look just for the headphones instead of speakers.

  I would like that you suggest me solving this problem. I installed Win 7 on my laptop TOSHIBA (satellite P200-1BA). and installed all necessary drivers downloaded from the official website. But only the bluetooth driver produces the problem. When I install it, first it appears driver installed successfully, my intention to restart. After rebooting once windows starts (desktop appears) all of a sudden blue screen and the computer restarts again and again with blue screen that appears until I have disable bluetooth.

  Anyone who encountered this problem too, or that someone has an idea on his reason?

  It's very strange. I've installed several times on different models with different operating systems and all went well.
  Are you sure you are using the 32-bit version for 32 bit OS?

  Please uninstall the existing Bluetooth drivers completely, restart the PC, install the new drivers, reboot the PC and then check.

  I first try a hard reset, just take out your battery for about 5 seconds and could again. Usually, which solves a lot of problems. If it is still on, it may be a software problem, but is not certain.

  I try to get my Storm to synchronize with bluetooth to my BlueAnt Z9i headset.  When I try and add the device, then search, the storm cannot locate.  Y at - it something I am doing wrong, or is - it due to a firmware, the device update can need?  Do I need a different helmet?

  I am posting this in the other thread here but it was closed before I could solve the problem.
  Background:
  I left on vacation for 4 weeks and I left my computer.  When I came back, my computer was giving me the following problems:
  • Video playback of my SIN was rough and freezing - I fixed that by finding out one of the drives died on RAID-1
  • After 30 minutes, the computer would give me a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) and reboot - I have updated every driver I could, each piece of software, update the BIOS and then finally solved the problem by updating the firmware on my boot drive: a Crucial 128 GB SSD m4

  These two problems have been resolved, but can be useful to understand the current problem

  Current problem:
  After trying to use the webcam for video chat via Gtalk or Skype, my Bluetooth Logitech MX5500 keyboard and mouse stop responding.  About 10-15 minutes after the call is completed, my computer gives a Blue Screen of Death with the message of STATE FAILURE of PILOT.

  What I tried:

  I would say to uninstall the application that has installed the driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys, maybe it is Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%.

  I have an Audi A7 2013 and my Z10 easily reached connectivity but I can that make calls through the car kit, not to receive them. My wife has a VW 2013 and I don't have this problem in his car. Another cel phones i.e. Blackberrys B10 before work as do the iPhones in my Audi. Audi site says they are compatible with of B10.
