Bluetooth disabled on hp 8640w

Hello

I got the bluetooth module working properly and suddenly my cell phone signals it is disabled and that I should allow him to the computer configuration utility. I don't know how I got into this situation as I din't use bluetooth for two weeks and many updates came the two updated day and hp support assistant window. I have tried everything, went into the bios Setup, I tried reinstalling drivers, but neither installation nor module of bluetooth device manager report more. It is brand new laptop (about 1 month), so I don't expect hardware failure of ti, which, like all the rest works fine. I found on a forum, it might be a virus.

Can someone please help with this?

Best regards

Darko

Go to the control panel and make sure that it is enabled in the HP Wireless Assistant. If it's not her, then reinstall the wireless Assistant HP or «Module built-in HP with Bluetooth wireless technology»

Go into the Recovery Manager and install both of these things here The Wireless Assistant is under the software and the HP integrated Module drivers.

These should be those provided with your laptop, the HP Support Assistant changed them unless. In this case, go to the support for your model page and update was from there. (you do not provide your full model number so I can't give you the links)

With respect to the HP Support Assistant. With a lot of experience with it and reading the many problems here on the forum, is one of the worst pieces of software I've ever met. Unsuspecting people can update things and the drivers or software are very often bad. There are a number of people who have to update their BIOS and now laptops are corrupt, there is a way to fix it, but it's hard.

Uninstall HP Support Assistant!  If the laptop works then don't update anything especially if the Support Assistant says.

It may be a virus, but I do not.

The other thing that can solve this problem is to go back to a restore point when your Bluetooth was working. Microsoft updates may come in yet, and which is very good, but turn off the HP Support Assistant or uninstall it.

I still don't know what system OS you are using, but here is the driver for XP:

After downloading, you must unpack it from the following directory: C > drivers > win > Bluetooth (or something similar with a B)...

    Vista driver:

  • Smartphones blackBerry 8220 - Bluetooth will not enable

Hey guys, I got my BB Pearl Flip for a few months now. It works great and I really like it. But recently, I encountered a problem that I can't find an answer to.  I use my BB as my MP3 via a bluetooth headset.  Recently I was not able to activate bluetooth on my phone, that leaves me without tunes.

When I go to "Manage connections", Bluetooth has a red X.  So I highlight it and click on my ball and it greys out with a check for a few seconds, then comes back just to have a red X without a message.

When I go to "Set up Bluetooth" I said to listen or research, which automatically sends me to "Activation of Bluetooth."... "After a few seconds, this message simply disappears and the header remains on" Bluetooth: Disabled "with the rest of the blank white screen.  By clicking on options and will "Turn on Bluetooth" do nothing.  No message or error reports.

By clicking on "Options Bluetooth" sent me to a blank white screen with a header saying "Bluetooth: Disabled.  Go into options and clicking on "Turn on the Bluetooth" do nothing (no error, no sign that anything that has happened).

I tried to read these forums, but I can't find anything like it.  I tried pulling my battery while the phone was on, and it did reboot and do this thing of reloading.  However bluetooth still gives me problems.

I usually leave bluetooth enabled on my phone at all times.  I just charge my battery more often.  Recently I turned off bluetooth because I needed more battery and did not have my headphones for a few days.  Now I just can't turn it back on.

If anyone knows what I can do to get my musical God bluetooth back, I would be very grateful.

I took my carrier and they called support of BB.  After doing exactly what that you guys told me to do, they decided my phone needed to be replaced.  I guess that my bluetooth just left falling component and the phone has no message for this error.

So the solution would be to take your phone and have it checked.  Chances are you need a new.

I finally called RIM (vary useful) and they ship a new 8320 because mine is under warranty still. You can call 877-255-2377 and customer service will direct you to your representative of the carrier. • Runaway process burning CPU & disk hammering

I filed a report of official bug with Apple in mid and they asked a sysdiagnose dump, but since then I have not heard a peep from their share and this problem is persistent and very annoying, so I turn to the community for help.

These four processes have been driving me crazy for a few months, UserEventAgent, launchd, cfprefsd, mds_stores, all running under the root. In this combined order, they use more than 230% CPU on my quad-core i7 Mac mini. They always appear together.

Worse yet, cfprefsd is hammering my drive of hundreds of times, a second creating a temporary file and then rename it to private/var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.xpc.activity2.plist. I talk a lot GB an hour of writing. The file always contains the same content. Needless to say that the fan runs at full speed and the whole system slows down. This occurs within minutes of the restart and sometimes clears alone after only a few hours and sometimes I just have to restart. Then it will go away a day or two before raising its ugly head again. Wash, rinse, repeat.

None of the Voodoo has suggested that I saw in my research like turn off Bluetooth, disable extensions Safari, reboot into recovery and reset ACL, mode helped. This includes advice here: Re: cfprefsd with > 90% CPU.

I even tried to disable /System/Library/UserEventPlugins/com.apple.cts.plugin that someone suggested. It seemed to work but it disables the Time Machine so that the 'solution' is unacceptable.

Newspapers at the time, the event began, it seemed related to the Messages app.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

REP 1) If you didn't have a problem with Windows 7 but only with Windows 10, probably the problems resolve and will not happen on Win 7. I can't guarantee 100% but it seems normal.

REP 2) Yes, if you go back to your previous operating system (aka Win 7), you will be able to try to Win 10 later if you wish.

    A few tips:

    > > If you want to try to solve your problems of Windows 10 without going back to Win 7, you can try to download/install HP Support Assistant

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03467905

Please, download it, it's about 39 MB, run it and update all the drivers and all of the HP software.

Please, go to the control panel and make sure that your Windows is fully updated

  • [Carbon X 1] Battery drains quickly

    Hi all

I'll start with the Technical Details of my laptop:

    • Carbon Lenovo X 1
    • Bought about 2 months ago (new) from a dealer in the United States
    • i5 3rd generation @ 1.7 GHz
    • 4 GB of DDR3 memory (soldered to the motherboard)
    • 128 GB SSD (Samsung), must be SATA III (6 GB/s) I guess
    • Windows 8 Pro x 64

    In addition:

    • + 40 GB of free space on the hard disk
    • Original charger used, always
    • Laptop was never "opened" (IE with screws)
    • device used mainly to text editing, navigation, and Photoshop
    • Applications/information services: Apple iTunes, Dropbox, Lenovo mouse/trackpad service and startup utilities services like Google Update, update Java, Adobe Reader Speedlaunch
    • I keep my laptop most of the time, I simply put my computer in sleep mode (in other words: I close the lid of the laptop)
    • I play games on this laptop, but of course I don't expect the battery to last several hours by. The battery runs out quickly that in "normal" situations - games, video editing, and a lot of Photoshop does not matter of course.
    • Connected to the internet all the time (not 3G, WiFi only)
    • Bluetooth disabled.

Now, let me explain the situation.

The laptop is fully loaded with the original charger. Power management is set to Power Saver (image). Brightness is located in approximately 60% of the maximum according to the build in Windows 8 indicator.

Applications that are open are Google Chrome (with 5 tot 15 tablets most of the time), Outlook, Dropbox and a metro apps (weather or the app store).

    (enlarged, click here)

As you can read, no intensive use. The CPU is stable between tot 5% 20% and the RAM is from 40% to 70%.

Do not hesitate to ask technical questions, I should be able to respond as I am a student of Bachelor on the inside.

Thank you for your help in this matter. Feel free to add your own experiences or personal advice.

    6 GB DDR3 RAM

My network card is on the fritz, to put it simply. I randomly lose internet access, and my network connection is listed as "restricted access". Sometimes turning the adapter off and back on solves the problem, but sometimes I need to do a full reboot. My system is the only one affected, so I know it's not the router. I've seen the methods advised unsuccessfully tried and similar subjects.

    So far, I have:

    -Updated my drivers

-Service of Broadcom Bluetooth disabled at startup

    -Hybrid sleep disabled

-Windows said he did not cut the network card.

I did a cooling system last week and that's where the problem started. Any suggestions?

    • Modem/router reloaded
    • Reinstalled drivers
    • uninstalled the drivers and let Windows load its own
    • Bluetooth disabled
    • Modified sensativity of Roaming low-income
    • Disabled Wireless N (only having a G router)

I think I'm to the point where I just refresh the machine again, but the wireless issues it took me two days to get to this day. Otherwise, this has been a very good product, but one of the essential features no longer works and it is a problem.

Since you have the wifi Intel N2230 card try to use the Intel driver that you can download from the Intel site. Also try resetting your router after you change some settings in your operating system.

  • WiFi and DHCP

    Hello

I had a problem with what appeared to be the wifi. It seemed when I traveled to a certain wifi network I'd get no Internet at all, when other devices worked well on this network.

I tried to do any disabling bluetooth, disabling the stuff of management power that was posted on the forum. After none of this worked, I looked into the problem a little further. Display the specific error in chrome was dns_probe_finished_no_internet, so I checked the DNS settings under

    Parameters-> Wi - Fi-> long press [SSID]-> change-> Show advanced network options

At that time I realized, even if I forgot the network and reconnected (several times) to the network that the device had remembered the previous DHCP parameters, including the DNS server and gateway entries, that had changed since I first connected to the network. I changed these static entries and now it works fine.

So in summary, it seems that forget network functionality don't really forget it...

ignore that, it was actually a dhcp server not allowed on my network causing different dhcp settings.
