Bluetooth headset with Cisco IP phones

Hi all

A client tries to connect a headset bluetooth Plantronics Savi WT/1 t with a Cisco 7940 IP phone and it seems to work very well when he receives a call and press the button 'phone' at the bottom of the phone. However, he wants to be able to walk outside his office and be able to receive calls by pressing the button on his bluetooth headset but the button is not admissible. Is there a way to configure that? I have the impression that the button on the helmet and the helmet on the IP phone button would somehow be synchronized but I don't see how that's possible. Someone has configured an earpiece bluetooth with a Cisco IP phone and have this feature work?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Hello Asad,

To make this work, you would need a number of things;

-a phone that supports HHC (headset hookswitch control) such as

Cisco 7942G, 7962G, 7945 G, 7965G, 7975 G

-the right to work with the Savi Plantronics cable, it would be

connect to the port on the bottom of the phone and works together with the

with the HHC funtion (enabled) on the config of the phone in CUCM

-minimum sr7 CUCM 4.1 (3)

I can't find the model of Savi, you're connected, but if you could check the exact model

number/name we could provide more details.

See you soon!

    Hello

Make sure that you follow the instructions for pairing here:

Use the Bluetooth with your Apple Watch - Apple Support Accessories

It can help to turn off pairing your headphones for your iPhone (or any other device that they can already be coupled to) before their pairing at your watch.

It can also help when you try to pair your headset with your watch, to move the two devices to another place, away from any device Bluetooth can be active.

  • Cisco IP Communicator with Bluetooth headset has fast battery drain

Hi all, hoping to exploit the collective knowledge here to find an answer to a question that we live with bluetooth headsets with quickly draining the battery.

Environment: We run Cisco UCM 10.5 and have some users with Cisco IP Communicator 8.6.4.  Computers are a mixture of office/computer laptop with Windows 7 32/64 - bit.  Most are bluetooth headsets, Plantronics Voyager legend UC with some older models of Plantronics.  These use a bluetooth dongle separated with flag State.  This helmet is announced as having 7 hours of talk time and 10 days standby.  Plantronics software is set to Audio enabled detection and headphones to maintain for PC connection as it is disabled.

Behaviour: Normally, when the bluetooth headset is not in use, the light blue and the helmet is considered as standby.  When a call, the indicator light is a slow blink showing the helmet is in active use.

Question: When not in a call, or when the CPIC is even launched, the indicator light is a blue blicking and users can hear 'air' in the helmet, even when not off the hook.  This led the helmet to be in Active mode and thus draining the battery at a higher rate.  Even if option software Plantronics headphones maintain link PC is off, it acts as if it was.  The only way that we were able to work around this problem is in the Plantronics software to disable Audio detection enabled.  This leads to the user needing to press the answer on the headset button and the answer button on the software phone which isn't ideal if users are up and on.

So having said all this, is there a resolution to allow the headset to use with CPIC without the helmet being still active?

It comes to video over IP, please move to the appropriate area.

  • You use a bluetooth headset while it is also connected to the Digital AV adapter

I run on a treadmill at the gym who has a digital AV adapter for television in front of me.

Normally, I have to plug my Wired headphones to the plug supplied at the gym, who returned from the TV.

I was wondering if I can use my bluetooth headset (which easily pair it with my phone) to listen to the audio from my phone when it is connected to the Digital AV adapter and play the video on the TV?

This way, I would have the video on television, but the audio through my wireless headset.

NOTE: I previously noticed with my wired headset, that if I plugged the AV adapter first and then plugged my headphones directly into my phone, I could get the audio directly from the phone (as opposed from the plug that is connected to the TV). So I was hoping that this could also be done with the wireless headset.

    Thank you

I figured out how I could do.

When I attach the adapter Digital AV, video and audio will play through the TV.

With the Bluetooth headset connected to my phone, I can switch the "AirPlay" parameter from the control center from TV to my bluetooth headset.

This keeps the video playing on the TV (via adapter), but it sends the audio to my bluetooth headset. Perfect!

  • PS398097 PS3 BLUETOOTH HEADSET. CANNOT FIND THE DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 7

Hello I am trying to use my Sony PS398097 PS3 Bluetooth headset with my computer.

After pairing the device with my Windows 7 successfully, I see that it is recognized as a "wireless headset"
The problem I have is that in order to be used as a microphone for video conferencing, it requires a missing driver.
Now, I went on the internet, mainly keep my simple search and get links to sites that sell this particular device.
Alas I am not interested in buying anything, unless it's a driver, obviously requiring my Windows 7.
I checked several forums and asked each of them and nobody seems to have an answer, moreover, nobody seems to have my particular problem either. If searching for an answer proved to be impossible. Here a link to the official description of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. for this helmet, including images to avoid confusion when the pilots received.

They claim that this helmet has improved Support for mobile phones
I paired it with my cell phone of MERCURY HWAIEI.
    It works on my ps3
He wants to just a specific driver.
The headset works without any problem. I don't get any results when searching through WINDOWS update for a driver.
Please tell me that this problem has appeared before and that you have a driver for me.

    Hey Wil,

I understand that you are unable to connect your Bluetooth headset with the system and will surely help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, please answer the following questions to help us identify the problem and you provide better assistance.

    1. What is the exact brand and model no. your computer?
    2. Other Bluetooth devices connect and work properly when connected to this system?
    3. What is the exact error message you get when you say: "guard of Windows asking drivers?

The question could arise if the Bluetooth drivers installed in the system are corrupt, the Bluetooth service running in the system is defective or if there is a conflict due to third party software service which is an obstacle to the Bluetooth connection.

So that these causes of diagnose and fix the problem, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.
