  Oh. You mean put a URL on your desktop, directly... No feature as far as I know this. Yet.

  I know this feature of IE, not in Firefox.

  A number of things.

  First of all, you have ClearType disabled at the system level? Firefox is not its own version of ClearType integrated, unlike IE which applies ClearType even if you turn it off at the level of the system.

  Second, Firefox sometimes displays fonts ugly if it is incompatible with your graphics card driver. The solution is to disable the use of Firefox hardware acceleration. Here's how:

  Firefox won't print Web pages correctly. The pdf comes out blurry but rather using the Safari browser. Apple store could not understand what is the problem. All plugin and java are up-to-date. Has happened since switching to Mac from the PC.

  I found the problem. In very simple terms, it's because I changed the default font to Century Gothic. Change back to the default font of windows, I did a test print to pdf preview and it is not blurry. Now, I'm playing with different fonts to see what will work best. So far I have Arial and Times New Roman both work very well.

In the past, I could easily enlarge text on a web page by dragging two fingers apart, or even, to make the text smaller by pinching the fingers together. I can no longer do this with the latest version of Firefox. If I run Safari instead, I can still use this feature of Mac. Y at - it a setting I need to change? Or is this a bug in the new version of Firefox?
