Body {margin: 0px ;} does not?}

Hello

I want to delete lines that are at the top and at the bottom (top and bottom margin?), so I added this property:

body {
    margin: 0px;
}

But the problem is still there:

Pacific Coastal Highway - Mozilla Firefox 2014-08-28 15.37.05.png

Pacific Coastal Highway - Mozilla Firefox 2014-08-28 15.38.15.png

Also, I tried with: padding: 0px; or simply with margin:0 auto; and it didn't work.

Do you know what could be the problem?

Also, here is the HTML structure:

<!doctype html>
<html>
     <head>
     <meta charset="utf-8">
     <title>Example</title>
     <link href="styles/highway.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
</head>
<body>
     <div id="wrapper">
          //some other html elements are here...
     </div>
</body>
</html>

And here's the CSS:

@charset "utf-8";
@import url("../webfonts/OpenSans_Regular/stylesheet.css");

#wrapper {
    width: 1200px;
    background-color: #FFFFFF;
    margin-left: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
}

body {
    color: #202020;
    background-color: #C54786;
    font-family: "OpenSans Regular", "Gill Sans MT", Arial, "Times New Roman", sans-serif;
    margin: 0px;
}

Thanks in advance!

It seems to me as a collapse of a margin

or tag with the white content area. If it is, add something like...

border-top: 1px solid white;

the white content area is a way to fix it.

Or removing the margin-top of the

or tag used...

margin-top: 0;

Here is some info on the collapse of the margin: margins collapse - SitePoint

The part with the margin collapsing between Parent and child elements button on it.

    HI @philg2,

    I see your thoughts produce a wide margin left and right of the page is cut off. What program are you printing from, and this occurs when you print from all programs or just a particular program?

    I see your post that this is not happening when you print a test page, so I think the problem is somehow related to the driver or program that you use. Let's start with the HP print and Scan Doctor is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly resolve problems printing, scanning and connectivity, including but not limited to:

    • Connectivity:

      USB: Check that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product works properly.

      Network: Verifies that the network connection between your computer and your network is working properly.

    • Device Status Test: checks the errors of the device, such as paper, paper jams, stands transport and paper issues and provides instructions to resolve the error.

    • Driver: checks the driver missing or corrupt files.

    • Device Manager: check the problems in Device Manager that could prevent printing.

    • Print settings: check and adjust the print quality settings.

    • Test print: print a test page for the assessment of the print quality and provides options for cleaning and if necessary print head alignment.

  • Menu/text in bold in the margins box does not

    Hello!  I'm relatively new to Adobe InDesign, and I use the Version 9.1 of the CC.  I think that I have accidentally clicked something and now strange things are happening.  Two of these things started happening in the middle of working on a document and were functioning normally only a few minutes ago.

    1. I can't select another attribute of fonts in the drop-down menu that says 'Regular' in the upper left corner to the title of the police.  When I click on the little arrow next to the 'regular', the area becomes orange, but it is not any menu drop-down.  I can do the "BOLD" text via a keyboard shortcut or via the menu of the character, but that little fall stopped working completely.  Every other drop down menu on the screen seems to work very well.

    2. I can't place a text box in the page margins.  If I select the "T" key and try to hover within the margin, it turns into a cursor type, and if I try to click and type, it starts to type in the text box on the previous page.  If I select the "T" key and hover outside the margin, he is as usual (with an icon into square shape), in order to be able to place a starting outside the margin text box and then simply move it to the margins.  Which is a hassle and very strange.

    Does anyone have an idea what I clicked and how to cancel it?  I tried Ctrl-Z to undo, but it did not work.

    Thank you in advance!

    Rachel

    Looks problem #1 you want to reset the preferences. http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/526990

    Problem #2 sounds like you have a block of text type on the pages. So when you click with the text tool, you enter the insertion point in the text of the master block.

    Remove text frames in master pages, and you should be OK.

  • Body don't does not correctly read TC in wav files - is there a fix

    Agency v7.2.2 CC

    OSX 10.8.5

    First is not able to properly read TC embedded in wav files?

    I'm in i/s-NDF 29.97, next... Organization seems confused and wav TC appears in the source monitor as long as what appears to be a Drop Frame calculation.

    Example:

    Audio Protools Rig receipt as a file audio wav with on-board TC begin to 00:59:45:00. Checked in Avid. Body displayed in the source in the form 00:59:48:17. This is not correct.

    Example 2:

    Departure from TC at 01:10:01:20... body displayed as 01:10:05:26

    I have several segments and rods which must be recessed in a seq to the specific TC, which is incorporated into the wav file... but the body may not display correctly.

    Using tools of recalculation of TC is not always give me the exact result... sometimes off the coast by a framework. For a form semi-long seq, this 'off Frame' can lead to more serious synchronization problems.

    Is there a solution for this?

    Found the solution. I remember that treats a seq of 30 frames per second during this project and had passed my 'Timebase of media for an indefinite period"at 30 frames per second. I checked the setting and it's still at 30 frames per second. I changed to 29.97 i/s-NDF and re-imported wav files... now correctly read the TC

    It's in the preferences > media > media indeterminate Timebase

    This should be identical to your seq Timebase and affects interpretation TC of wav files and I think that the sequences of images as well.

  • UL links does not work the way I want

    Hello

    Just trying to learn more about CSS and I have a problem.

    I have an unordered list vertical and used the li tag do a "box" around each link (border background/red red/black text)

    I then did the text in each box a link by using the menu "edit/make the connection" option. It works very well.

    So next I tried to create a rule composed (li, a: hover) to change the color of the font in black and red background color - basically reverse the colors of the non-pointe State. So now stationary, while the text changes to black as I want it in the background everything passes to red as soon as I select this color in the rule?

    Here are some photos to show what I'm trying to explain.

    NO - HOVER

    Non Hover.JPG

    Li a: hover tag

    Hover.JPG

    I guess I'm not using the li,: hover tag correctly and am sure someone can put me right.

    In addition, using the ' menu edit/make link option will make only the text a link but I would like to area it entire boxes of eah element as part of the link - how do you do that? What I have to do each item an image?

    And here's the CSS.

  • Cards Oracle does not work inside a table cell?

    Hi all

    I've been using Oracle cards without a table, but now I need to put the screen (& lt; div & gt ;) within a cell of table for organization purposes. I noticed that it is not simply a map if I put it here.

    It works and displays the map:
    <body onLoad="loadMainMap()">
          <div id="map_div" style="left:0px; top:0px; width:100%; height:100%; border:2px solid"></div>
    </body>
    It does not display the map (the table and div are there, but no map is displayed):
    <body onLoad="loadMainMap()">
        <table>
            <tr>
            <td>
                    <div id="map_div" style="left:0px; top:0px; width:100%; height:100%; border:2px solid"></div>
            </td>
            </tr>
        </table>
    </body>
    I'm doing something wrong?

    Thanks in advance,
    ~ Ruben Jorge

    The table does not have its specified size, its size is determined by its cells. The cell does not have the specified size, and its size is determined by its content, the map DIV DIV. size plan is 100%, 100%, which is proportional to the size of the table cell, which does not have a size. Thus, the browser guess its size is 0px, 0px.

    To resolve this problem, you must specify the size of the table (relative or absolute), or the absolute size of the div. of card

    < div id = "map_div" style = "left: 0px;" Top: 0px; Width: 100%; height: 100%; border: 2px solid "> < / div >"

  • Flash embed tag does not obey the dimensions of percentage, even with html and body to 100%

    For some reason, I can't get this swf file to show the height and the width of 90%. I tried to add a style sheet in the header to explicitly set the html and body to 100%, but this is not always enough. can you see if there is a problem in the code?

    This can happen because of the < center > element that does not have a height and a width specified. Don't forget to specify the dimensions for all containers if you use percentages, otherwise you can end up with 90% of 0 or a default value.

  • Touchpad on Satellite A200-1 body weight does not light when you tapoterez the top right

    Satellite A200-1 body weight.

    This has a double Synaptics touchpad mode that switches modes when you press on the upper right corner - at least he used to. Upgraded to Win7 and had to do a clean install as I had Vista Ultimate 32 bit version.
    Used the upgrade of Tosh package but the touchpad driver gave me the basic features, no double mode.

    Looked around and installed the driver of Luxpad V6.5 9.1.14 dated November 2, 2007. Played a little and everything came out to be almost normal, but the pad does not turn on & change the mode when I press on the upper right corner despite the checkbox for this being checked. It does turn on and work if I check the second option on the external mouse, etc..

    All ideas will be considered with gratitude that I tend not to use it. See you soon.

    Hi ple2011,

    Where did you downloaded Luxpad V6.5 driver? I can t find it on the Web from Toshiba site

    Is that on the Web from Toshiba site, you can download Alps Electric and Synaptics touchpad driver and you must install two drivers. You can download them here:

  • Micro does not work on a Satellite A200-1 of body weight

    Hello

    My laptop is a Satellite A200-1 body weight, bought in September 2007 (still under warranty). Since I bought it, it seems that the microphone does not work well.

    When I chat with yahoo messenger, people hear my voice clearly, although I speak aloud.
    I tried to reinstall the driver of sound realtek high definition, and also other web found here.
    I tried to use speech recognition, but the light also does not move and try to pass the front mic failure and vice versa, the result is about the same.

    What actually happens? Could this be a hardware problem?

    Thank you for your help

    For me it s not a fault.
    A hardware problem or a software problem

    The fact is that some of the A200 are delivered with the internal webcam and the internal mic belongs to this cam, that one of my friends talked me using the internal cam and MIC and the sound is great.
    He changed the sound settings in Skype and settings audio mic Vista and it of ok now.

    Body of the email does not print

    I had this same question posted under Outlook but was advised to post it under Windows...
    I use windows xp professional outlook express and the body of the email will not be printed.  The printer works well with other programs and the title of the print emails.  I does not matter if I try to print starting from the preview pane, or open the email and try to print from there.  All the settings are the same as they were while he was working.  We use a printer HP Officejet Pro 8500 has.  I have forwarded this email to my son who also uses xp and outlook and print with all the problems.  I made a diagnosis on the printer and it says it's in good working condition.  From now the only way to print an email is to copy in word and print it from there.  Any thoughts?

    Hi mriddle27,

    You can check if the following is useful.

    Method 1: Clear the Auto-select option for encoding.

    a. open the message.

    b. click view in the menu bar.

    c. point to encoding , and then clear the auto-select Option.

    Method 2: You can try to repair Outlook express and see if it helps.

    His does not work because you have not disabled the floats in the container "tabs".

    First of all, do not float the 'tabs '.

    left. You can comment this output and add overflow: hidden; to clear the floats:

    {#tabs}

    / * float: left; * /

    Width: 100%;

    font-size: 1.00em;

    make-weight: bold;

    background-color: #0 has 3371;

    text-align: center;

    overflow: hidden;

    }

    Not necessary to float the "ul tabs' on the left, comment him:

    #tabs ul {}

    / * float: left; */

    Width: 100%;

    margin: 0;

    list-style: none;

    background-color: #0 has 3371;

    text-align: center;

    }

    Remove the margin-top: 15px; -

    . Collections-hand p {}

    top of the margin: 15px;

    text-align: center;

    do-family: "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Lucida Grande", without serif.

    Police-weight: 600;

    make-style: italic;

    color: #710 has 33;

    It looks like you use the second level menus is allowed to use overflow: hidden; the CSS "tabs".

    IF you intend to use the second level menus, then you will need to clear floats using an inline style:
