  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  There are other ways to save a new bookmark.
  1. right click on the page and use "bookmark this Page".
  2 {Ctrl + D} from the keyboard.
  3. When you click once on the 'Star', the new bookmark is saved in the unsorted bookmarks folder. If you click twice, slowly, you will get a screen that allows you to select the folder in which to save the bookmark in.

• 'bookmark this page' shows not all of my folders

  I want to save a bookmark to one of the folders in my favorites. I hit "bookmarks" and then "bookmark this page". The dialog box appears with "menu bookmarks" in the files box. I develop the box of files, and it shows only 3 of my files and a box called "select". I select 'choose' and where before I'd get a list full of bookmarks and folders, now none of my favorites appear.

• I just downloaded Firefox and the command 'bookmark this page' does not appear in the bookmark icon.

  Please check if this happens in Safe Mode. Safe mode disables the installed Extensionsand themes (appearance) in (Alt + T) Tools > Add-ons. Hardware acceleration is also temporarily disabled - manual setting is Tools > Options > Advanced > general > use hardware acceleration when available. All these settings/options/additional custom modules can also be individually or collectively disabled/enabled/changed to normal mode of Firefox to check if an extension, theme, option or a hardware acceleration is causing issues. Deactivation/activation of hardware acceleration and some types of modules in normal mode may require a restart of Firefox.

  If the problem persists, you can also try a new profile. If the new profile is correct, you can then Reset Firefox on the old (previous) profile via help > troubleshooting information.
