Under the bookmarks icon 'BOOKMARK THIS PAGE' disappeared
I can't add bookmarks because MARK it THIS PAGE"icon has disappeared under the
Category 'bookmarks '.
I reinstalled Firefox after you have uninstalled it, then COMPLETELY clean out of my registry and all files that I could find. I still do not have this, because when I reinstalled, it came back with all my favorites, history, etc.. !!! But at least now I get 'Bookmark this Page' again.
Mozilla Firefox is definitely an insidious beast, however. Now, I know I'll never be able to get rid of it completely!

Bookmark this page disappears replaced by edit bookmarks
I can use 'bookmark this page' a few times, but cela then disappears and is replaced by "edit this bookmark". However, the only thing available under "edit this bookmark" is "Delete bookmarks". Sometimes it goes back to 'bookmark this page' but it works for only two or three times before being replaced once again by "edit this bookmark" with the same limitation described above.
This is how it works.
Once you have bookmarked a link then the link becomes a bookmark and 'Bookmark this page' becomes "edit this bookmark" to indicate that you can edit the bookmark.
If you want to add a link to a second time, then you must create a copy of the bookmark or drag the tab or Site identity button to create an additional copy. -
The toolbar previous at the top of the screen re: bookmarks had the easier and is more agreed for me (and I'm sure MANY OTHERS) to just click, scroll, stop and click and fact! I'm on page that I bookmarked. So now, no? and what happened to the "mark this page" option initially drop down list? It's so easy. I have to develop records, files, plugins, etc...
What in is he developed a method for people who are geeks high tech click on something that will lead THEM to last orders?Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */ /* move "Show All Bookmarks" to the top of the Bookmarks drop-down list */ #BMB_bookmarksPopup #BMB_bookmarksShowAll {-moz-box-ordinal-group:0} /* move "Show All History" to the top of the History drop-down list */ #PanelUI-history > * {-moz-box-ordinal-group:3!important} #PanelUI-history > label.panel-subview-header {-moz-box-ordinal-group:1!important} #PanelUI-history > #PanelUI-historyMore {-moz-box-ordinal-group:2!important}
The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.
- Create the folder chrome (lowercase) in the .default < xxxxxxxx > profile folder if the folder does not exist
- Use a text editor such as Notepad to create a userChrome.css (new) file in this folder (the names are case-sensitive)
- Paste the code in the userChrome.css file in the Editor window and make sure that the userChrome.css file starts with the default @namespace line
- Make sure that you select "All files" and not "text files" when you save the file via "save file as" in the text editor as userChrome.css. Otherwise, Windows can add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with one does not not userChrome.css.txt file
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

When I downloaded, I also choose to import IE Favorites and they all appeared. When I opened the bookmark icon, the "mark this page" command is missing, so I can't to bookmark a page. Everything else seems normal. It is an old computer running XP.
Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you are using the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).
You can see the difference if you use Alt + F to open the file menu and other menus such as the Edit (Alt + E) menu and the menu bookmark (Alt + B) and compare that to what you see, if you use the mouse to open the menu after the bar of menus visible by typing Alt or by pressing F10.
- "To bookmark all tabs" (Shift + Ctrl + D) is no longer present in the menu bookmarks unless you open the bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
- "To bookmark all tabs" are available through the context menu of a tab on the tab bar.
- 'Bookmark this Page' is accessible through the context menu of the browser page.

using Firefox 11.0 on Windows 7 prof 64 bit, when trying to 'bookmark this page' in the bookmarks drop-down menu at the top of the browser bookmark pop-up window. When I move my mouse over the bookmark pop-up window to change the directory where you will store the bookmark, it disappears before I can do something? If I move my mouse near the yellow star on the right side of the window to the url, the menu bookmark can appear again, but it disappears when I move my mouse over it?

First click on the popup icon Star "bookmark this Page".
When I click the icon star on the address bar, I think it should be saved in "Unsorted Bookmarks" by default. but a "bookmark this Page" popup dialog.
The page has never set bookmark.
Anyone has an idea about this problem?Hello
Please check if this happens in Safe Mode.
Troubleshooting Extensions and themes
Safe mode disables the installed Extensionsand themes (appearance) in (Alt + T) Tools > Add-ons. Hardware acceleration is also temporarily disabled - manual setting is Tools > Options > Advanced > general > use hardware acceleration when available. Options > Advanced. All these parameters/additional custom modules can also be individually or collectively disabled/enabled/changed to normal mode of Firefox to check if an extension, theme or hardware acceleration is causing issues.

a folder named new home disappeared under the bookmarks section and he had many favorites.
I put a new site bookmark & he moved upward and in one of my folders when for some reason any 'New Home' folder just disappeared under the bookmarks section.
Now that I'm in your area in case of problem, my screen must be 150% or more! How to get back to 100% as the rest of my screen?
I'm not a real techie person, plain English would be really appreciated, thanks.
May have moved this "new house" by chance in one of the other folders.
Try to open the bookmarks in the sidebar (Ctrl + B) and click in the area of bookmark to set the focus in this area and quickly press the first letters of the folder (in your case: again) to see if that opens this lost file.
The search bar only Favorites and folders not looking and does not show the location.
You must click on the left in this area in order to avoid opening the bookmark. -
I'm trying to get the bookmark icon in my toolbar to the right of the icon of the House. Then, right-click on the toolbar and then click Customize the icon in the toolbar. As soon as I close the pop of toolbar Customize the icon on my toolbar disappears. How can I get the Favorites icon to stay on my toolbar to the right of the icon of the House?
Two things can cause the Bookmarks button to "disappear" from the Navigation bar when the customization mode is closed.
1. the Menu bar - with File, Edit, View, etc. - shows.
Since you have checked the answer first of cor-el solve your problem, I have not exposed on this point.2. the bookmarks toolbar shows, and this button is this toolbar.
Is the Menu bar showing or not?
Have you tried the reset bar of tools and commands that I mentioned? -
Disable the animation of 'bookmark this page' prompt?
How can I turn off or disable animation newly added to the prompt "bookmark this page"?
It was possible to press Ctrl + D to insert a bookmark and immediately followed by ENTER.
It's is no longer possible, because the small window of dialogue takes so long to animate upward. In General, I like all kinds of animations. So I went through great efforts to put favicon animation, zoom up animations, have replaced the new download window by an addon, shot of gifs to liven up once, use an adblocker and off the tabs-animation by editing the respective file.
Now, there's a new animation that takes away from my time and turn away from whats important. How can I disable it, please?
Option #1
Install the add-on to kill Animations group.Option #2
If you have the add-on stylish installed, install the following user style.Option #3
If you don't want to install additional modules, place the code in the style sheet above in the userChrome.css file and restart Firefox. Check that the @namespace line appears only once at the top of the file.
