  Leave Firefox runs. In the Finder, open the library folder in your home folder (not the library folder at the top level of your boot volume.) Enter Time Machine and restore the following:

  / Library/Application Support/Firefox

  / Library/Application Support/Mozilla

  Library/Preferences/org.mozilla.firefox.plist

  Restart Firefox

  I use adobe reader and acrobat to read textbooks online. I did it years. After the 11.0.11 updated, bookmarks do not work. You select a page to go to and nothing happens. Works fine on a third computer that I've not updated to 11.0.10.

  After that each OS upgrade that I know it's going to be a few problems, so I wasn't surprised when this happened with Sierra. Most have been quickly resolved by common sense, but I have a biggie that remains. Mainly, but not only, it occurs during playback of videos and translates into a serious attack.

  So I too just upgraded to Sierra, and I have two problems.  The first I noticed almost immediately after a reboot is something is causing fans to run almost non-stop.  I looked at the level of the console and I see that several root applications use more than 100% of the time CPU.  What the hell is happening here?

  Second, Mail has now slowed down to the point that it is almost unusable.  I click on an email and it will literally be anywhere from 15 to 20 seconds for the mail to open.  Not a complex HTML with email of old thing plain video simple.  What the hell is happening here?  It's maddening.

  I have an Acer Aspire Swich 10 E computer that came with Windows 8.1. After many hours of downloading, I upgraded to 10 Windows for free. Now, I want to make a backup of the system so that I can restore Windows to its present first State that is necessary or desirable.

• Empty reports after upgrading to 10g

  After completing an upgrade to version 4 of discoverer 10g, we found that most of our financial reports returns no data.
  We are connecting to an Instance of applications running 11.5.10.2. I think I have followed all the steps of upgrade necessary, even there is something extra that I'm missing that I need to do to make this work?

  You probably encountered bug 5244228 where the GL_SECURITY_PKG checks only for version 4i discoverer. There is a patch of GL Apps for this problem (Patch 3693532).

  You should also check the notes 414464.1 and set the FI: profile of GL BIS discoverer Yes your responsibilities access system. This may also solve the problem.

  Drop-down lists don't they respond as they did last week - before 36.0.1 update.

  Choose a brand, and then you are supposed to be able to select from a list of models. Is not the case.

  I have several add-ons privacy (see below), but they have not changed with the upgrade (unless they also have been upgraded automatically.)

  FF is becoming less and less pleasant to use as the years go by.

  Looks like it's maybe something to do with the interaction of Web sites features. Try updateing your adobe flash and see where that gets you.

  I got my Satellite Pro P100 (model number is PSPAEE-00C006EN and the second digit of the serial number is '7') upgraded from Vista to Windows 7, and since then, some bugs seem to have had place - can someone help me on the following:

  -L' screen DIMS increments, irrespective of the fact that I have saved my power settings to stay on FULL (battery or sector)

  -No sound. Once or twice, the sound card worked and settings to say this works correctly (and you can see the movement of the graphic equalizer).
  In terms of PC knowledge, I would be 5/10 (so not a dummy, but certainly not a pro! and we tried a lot of the more obvious things)

  1.) if the screen dim option doesn't properly work, I recommend you to reinstall Toshiba Value added Package. This package controls these functions, the keys FN and others. Visit the Toshiba page for an update!

  2.) did you check if the sound is muted if the equalizer work? In addition you can also try to update the audio driver might it work ;)

  MS Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor told me that there would be updates available for
  -DVD MovieFactory for Toshiba
  -Toshiba Disc Creator
  so I started my upgrade (from Win Vista on a Toshiba Satellite L300) and a few hours later, I found that these two programs had disappeared completely.

  But I can't find the updates, and I can not even find the original programs anywhere for download.

  I'm only a poor researcher or someone could give me a hint?

  All additional software, you with your recovery image are designed for some version of the OS.
  Toshiba disc creator can only be used with the recovery image. When you perform a kind of modification, as the upgrade, this tool is simply useless.
  In General, the tool is available only by download.

  What about DVD Movie Factory for Toshiba. In the recovery image, you have this software for free and the license for the use with this OS is also for free. I can't say for sure, but I assume it has something to do with the license and the ability to use it on another platform.

  Also, this app is not available for download. You can get it with the recovery image only.

• GeForce 9800GT problems (resolution and horizontal lines) after upgrading to Windows 7

  I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 on my desktop HP m9350f computer.  I more a few days later my screen has finished by resolution 800 x 600 with horizontal lines on the screen, from the start.  I spent several hours with the support of Microsoft and HP by train to reload the updated drivers from the Internet HP site and Web of NVIDIA site with no improvement.  As part of the normal troubleshooting I plugged a cable and another monitor and the problem is neither the monitor nor the cable.  I removed the video card and temporarily replaced by another video card and the problem goes away, so the problem is with the graphics card (as opposed to the motherboard).  I replaced the NVIDIA card and the problem is back, essentially confirming that the problem is directly related to the graphics card.  While I found 'a lot' of discussions on the internet about similar issues with 9800GT cards, I can't find a solution to this problem. HP and MS have exhausted their resources. Any ideas or solutions?

  It's time for a new video card.   Remember to match the energy needs of the new card with the power supply of your PC.

• Empty contacts after upgrade to El Capitan in Snow Leopard

  Naively I upgraded my MacBook Pro to Snow Leopard (10.6.8) to El Capitan (10.11.1) just above my internal drive, so going back is not an option. I guess I could wipe my drive, install 10.6.8 then restore from a week ago with Time Machine.  (The same backup drive is used under the two systems).  But I'd rather have work 10.11.

  A problem is disappeared from my address book and here this new application of Contacts has a similar icon but no contact.  I read in the help that I could restore from a backup of the address book, but I have an extraordinary before the transition.

  What should do?  Any ideas?
