  When I click on the drop down bookmarks menu, it's too wide. If there is a folder in the contents list shown far right. At the point where I'm moving the mouse on there where the contents of the folder is it disappears. Am on Mac OSX Lion. I tried to scroll on the corners and sides of the drop down list to search again for the sizing handles, but none are. It is not just Firefox 31 version as has happened for some time.   Just got the new OS for my macbook, OS of the Mavericks. In my previous OS, I used Firefox and had bookmarks saved on the menu, but also the different Web sites registered as bookmark tabs, right under the search bar of the site and under the normal google search bar at the top right. For each site like gmail.com, I would set parameters so there are no words, only the icons that I recognize. Makes it really easy for me to use, why can't do that now?

  Searched the web and forum to find out how to change the color of the font of my bookmark tabs. My current theme is invisible, but the legs with black text. It is difficult to read and should be of a different color and "BOLD".

  bookmarks does not. the only thing it will do is add them, impossible to delete or do something else with them. "display the Bookmarks tab all comes in white and nothing else works on this subject." not given the choice of what folder to put bookmarks in when I use "bookmark this page".

  One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

  It seems that there is a change in Firefox 4, where the width of the drop-down list is now determined by the length of the longest bookmark name in the displayed folder. Versions previous of Firefox would be to shorten a long name like this and add an ellipsis to indicate the name has been truncated.

  Sorry, I don't know how to change it otherwise that you advise to change the name of this long bookmark name and make it less wordy. Just scroll to the bottom of the list of bookmarks in this vast folder until see you the culprit, then right click on that bookmark and open properties and change the line of name at the top of this dialog box.

  Hi chrismarks1,

  I think you can be confused bookmarks with thumbnails. If you click on the miniatures Page icon (the one above the bookmarks icon), you can delete a page by clicking on its thumbnail, clicking the delete page (icon of the Recycle Bin). Just make sure that you see the PDF file in Acrobat (rather than Acrobat Reader), you cannot remove the drive pages.
