Bookmarks toolbar icons opens the tab in the current window, but want a new window...

The fix should be simple, but I can't. Help is appreciated.

Probably not. There are a lot of tab on the extensions that can deflect a link that will open in the current tab in a new tab, but I do not know if opening links in a new window is supported by extensions such as Tab Mix Plus.

  • After CTRL + N for the new window, bookmarks toolbar disappears in the new window

When I have a completely, properly functioning window with tabs running with the bookmarks toolbar visible and then I use CTRL + N to open a new window, the 2nd window does not display the bookmarks toolbar.

When I go to view > toolbars, toolbar bookmarks show a cheque. He is not here in the new window, but in the first window. Looks like a bug caused by CTRL + N?

  • Remove bookmarks toolbar icons?

In the old version of Firefox I was using, it was easy to choose from 3 options for the bookmarks toolbar. display icons only, only the display names, display names and icons.

I chose to display names only because it saves space.

I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, and now it seems impossible to remove bookmarks toolbar icons. (Others have asked about this, but the answers were unnecessary).

I reinstalled an old version of Firefox and still I can't get rid of the icons.

Please help me to get rid of the icons in the bookmarks toolbar!

    1. Open the modules (Ctrl + Shift + A Manager; Mac: Command + shift + A), then the Extensions category.
    2. Beside the classical restaurant theme, click on the Options button.
    3. On the Home tab, in the upper left corner, choose "Tabs (default Australis) curve", or "Curve tabs (alternative)" or "curve tabs (alternative Aero).

Also, I'm not sure if I like tabs on very top or not... but cannot find a way to toggle that option. Possible?

In classic options window Restorer theme mentioned above, in the upper left corner of the main tab, choose between ' tabs not on "or"tabs on top (default).

  • Bookmark Toolbar Icons

    I installed Firefox on a Toshiba still 2 10 '' tablet running Windows 8.1.

The bookmarks bar is visible but not all icons. Icons and details are saw in the Bookmarks Manager.

Is there a solution for this?

    Concerning

For the bookmarks display on your bookmarks bar, a feature called "Bookmarks toolbar icons" should be this toolbar. By default, it is the bookmarks toolbar, but can be deleted by accident. To see if you have it in your toolbar, you must go to your customization page:

    • Enter topic: Customizing in your address bar and press ENTER.
    • Reach

      > Customize

If it is not on the toolbar customization page, you will need to click on, and then drag it to here. Leave your customization page after doing it and see if your bookmarks are displayed.

  • How can I open the downloads window only? Or how can I close my browser and open the winodw downloads without an active download?

I have about a year of downloads to sift through and organize. It means I have many open files that I move the files to the appropriate locations. The last thing I need is to have unnecessarily the browser open between all this mess.

So... can I close my window of Firefox browser without the automatic reclosing also downloads window? Or better yet, is it possible to just open the downloads window and not the browser window?

Again, I want to ONLY THE DOWNLOADS WINDOW open, not the browser window. I see that others have asked similar questions, but no one has ever proposed a solution.

Avoid using the file > exit or the red X button. On the contrary: press Ctrl + j to display the downloads window, and then use Ctrl + w to close the last remaining tabs. The downloads window should remain open. A little luck?
