BOOTMGR is missing after trying a clean install?

OK so I'm not very savvy computer so why I write, but I try to explain exactly what happened.

My computer has always had problems with the installation of programs. Almost all programs will begin to install and then error pop up and say that some files were corrupt. It was interesting, because some programs would BE to install, but most would not. I think that the activation code for windows 7 was not correct. Anyway something went wrong with the installation of windows I had done a few years ago. I thought that the best way to solve this problem was to do a clean reinstall of Windows 7 Ultimate x 64. So, I found a http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/ ISO image file and downloaded as well as the ISO tool microsoft copy USB.

Once downloaded and copied on an empty FlashDrive using the tool, I watched a few instructions on how to do clean reinstall correctly. This site is http://pcsupport.about.com/od/operatingsystems/ss/windows-7-clean-install-part-1.htm

I stuck the flash drive in the computer, restarted and began the process of restarting the flash player. I got to step 11 where it says to remove the partitions on the hard disk, the two big one (650 GB in my case) and the small partition of 100 MB. So I remove both. At this point, I'm just after its not. Not too sure what I do which is probably my first mistake. (NOTE: I did one installs many own on my own laptop before without any problem).

In any case, that's all well and dandy continues the process of configuring windows. Then I get an error message saying "windows cannot install required files. the file may be corrupted or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. error code 0 x 80070570.

So big, it's beautiful. I leave the installation to try reformatting and copying the ISO file to my thinking flash player he doesn't copy correctly. I will go back to restart and do a boot from the USB and as soon as it is passed to that screen with the installation/startup/recovery options screen empties and says "BOOTMGR is missing press CTRL ALT DEL to restart."

I did some research to solve this problem that brought me to this http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/bootmgr-is-missing.htm guy none of the troubleshooting tips, it lists worked. Somehow I stumbled on a HP diagnostic tool in the start menu and it ran, I know that's not HP, but thought that I'll let you know what he tested the CPU and disks (both passed with a big green tick), memory (8 GB) has failed with an error of BIOME-1. A quick google search makes it seem like my sticks of memory are messy.

I know that sounds like a lot and I don't expect an answer full proof, but I would like to know what my best route is to solve this problem. My computer is really nice with 8 GB RAM Pentium Dual - Core CPU and I really want to enjoy my photography stuff. It costs a lot of money, I bought it a few years ago.

Thank you for anything!

OK, so there was nothing wrong with the memory modules. I did what you said and removed a 1 each at a time and ran the test each time. He failed every time. So I ignored that for the time being.

Instead of trying to boot from a flash drive, I burned the ISO to a DVD file and tried to boot from that. THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. Apparently my computer doesn't like to boot from flash. All problems solved when booting from the DVD. The BOOTMGR message was due to the fact that my hard drive has been completely annihilated, but during the installation of windows running everything has been corrected.

  • Pavilion G6-1d21dx: necessary drivers after Windows 10 clean install on g6 (g6-1d21dx Pavilion) Pavilion

I tried the HP support site, but I don't see any drivers for any available OS for my model, the g6-1d21dx Pavilion.

I did a clean install of Windows 10, but the Wi - Fi button does not work. Apparently, there's a pilot called HP wireless button that I need to install. When I do a Google search for it, there is a link to HP's download page, but the link seems to be dead.

HP allows us to download drivers more? It's frustrating, because drivers must be simple and easy.

Can someone please tell me where I can get this and all the other drivers that I might need after doing a clean install of Windows 10?

    Thank you.

Well, I think I solved the problem. The first time I did a new install of Windows 10, didn't have an Ethernet cable connected to the computer. This leads to all sorts of problems, including a lack of access to the Internet and some devices are not installed correctly. I reformatted the SSD drive and cloned my old hard drive, but that resulted in a very slow performance, then I would get errors every other time I start the computer (inaccessible_boot_device, unexpected_store_exception and kernel_data_input_error). In addition, the hard drive that I cloned has been running the 64 bit version of Windows 10, and I wanted to try the 32-bit version, because I want to use some software of old who will not run on 64-bit Windows 10 (for example, the Spanish dictionary Oxford SuperLex 3-in-1, French and German).

Last night, I did another installation of the 32-bit version, but with a network attached cable. This time, after installation and update of Windows, all my devices appear to be installed and working properly. This includes the Synaptics touchpad, the HP wireless button, the AMD Radeon graphics card and the Realtek card reader. I didn't need to install whatever it is myself, and the Device Manager does not display the unknown devices. In addition, installation completed MUCH more quickly with the connected network cable.

Conclusion: If you clean - install Windows 10, I highly recommend that you do so with a network cable attached so that you will have access to the Internet when it is necessary during installation. With fixed cable, both my wired network and my Wi - Fi network have been detected during installation. Wireless network connected, even my Wi - Fi was not available during the installation.

  • BOOTMGR is missing after formatting HARD drive

I installed Windows 7 on XP.  I chose a clean install, assuming that the partition he wipe, but when it's over I had 2 GB of free space on the partition of 50GB. I then formatted the C drive and tried to install again, as I always had better luck with OS completely clean installs in the past.  When I tried to install from the DVD Win 7, I got an error message saying THAT BOOTMGR is missing.  I can't boot from the drive installation, or a recovery disc Windows 7, nor any boot disks that I saved various forms over the years.  Some discs loading menus, but the end result is always the same - BOOTMGR is missing.  So the problem is not a bad drive.  I downloaded EasyBCD, cannot boot from that. Is it possible to fix this or do I have to buy a new hard drive?

Well, I ended up having to reformat the hard disk and restart completely from scratch.  Windows is now re-installed and I am up & running again.

Then the next, what is the best way to add my second hard drive?  Win7 seems extremely susceptible to a second drive added.  My intention is first to move all my files the second disk, and then the RAID set (RAID 1) as I had before.  I won't be able to do this with Win7?

  • Problems after doing a clean install of Vista Home Premium and service pack 2

I see that others have the same problem as me, but there is no way to comment (that I can see) on the thread I've read.  After a lot of problems, I did a clean install of VISTA Home Premium (came with my Dell PC) and when I installed service pk2, all of the same problems that led me to do a clean install appeared.  I can't the computer to recognize and install the keyboard and the mouse of the blue tooth. (Don't tell me to contact the manufacturer, because they came w / the computer and say "Dell" on them!)  He told me that the enumerator does not work.  Then I launched Quicken, and when I tried to save a registry check for print, he gave me the msg "Quicken launcher has stopped working".  He was a key reason I did a clean install.  The only improvement is that I can at least open Quicken, which he would not let me do before.  How to uninstall service pack 2?

I have actully solved my problem. What I had to do was reboot the machine and after Vista installation was done I did the installation of battery first Manager and just downloaded from the section the T61 drivers (without using the update system) then once the battery Manager installation manual was full (it was then works well) I ran the system update to install the rest of the drivers and utilities Lenovo. If apperentally battery meter do not be installed via updater. My sugestion would be so to reload the machine once more and battery Manager install before running system update this is what worked for me.

Again, restoration, but the result was the same.

  • Epson WF-7520 does not print to tray 2 after El Capitan clean install?

I don't know what happened, but since I did a clean install of El Capitan, my WF-7520 Epson no longer works correctly. The ONLY way it prints on the 13 x 19 (tray 2) is when I remove it and place it in the top housing (slot 1). In addition, all my photo quality controls are now gone, so high quality prints are no longer possible. I tried to remove and reinstall the driver, but that has no effect.

For what it's worth, I print using Adobe Acrobat DC of more Creative cloud products. Anyone know what can be wrong?

    Rest the printing system...

Open System Preferences > Printers and Scanners and select the print tab.

Right click or control your printer on the left, then click on: reset printing system...

    Then try to print again.

If that does not help, download and install fresh drivers from the Epson website > http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?infoType=Downloads & oid = 183585

A new installation can sometimes corrupt the software/drivers and need a new facility.

    Hello

If you created the backup restore disc complete by using Windows backup and restore, you try to perform the system restore. If you have not created backup disk using restore option, I suggest you to contact the computer manufacturer to restore Windows vista.

Warning: When you use a Windows complete PC backup image to restore your computer, it is a complete restoration. You cannot choose to restore individual items and all of your current programs, Control Panel, and the files are overwritten. You must regularly back up your files by using the back up files Wizard.

  • stream HP 11 x 360: Touchscreen on stream 11 x 360 does not work after 10 windows clean install

I did a clean install of windows 10 on my HP 11 x 360 stream, and now the touchscreen does not work. Under system, it says 'no pen or touch input' and there is no driver touch screen not listed under HID in the Device Manager. It worked when windows 8.1 has been installed and it still works in the BIOS. None of what follows has worked previously:

    reset

    several windows updates

several updates using HP support assistant

looking through the list of 8.1 windows HP drivers (apparently not all list a touch screen driver)

looking through the list of drivers for windows 10 HP that was recently added.

Either by the way, I was about to Flash the BIOS when I noticed that the version on the Web site is f2, and mine is f4. I don't know what that means. I end by flashes, however.

I remember seeing what I thought, he was a pilot of the touchscreen when you look under programs and features in windows 8.1 before the upgrade. I think it was called magic something or other...

Microsoft Web site indicate that windows touch support in the oven, so I don't know why it is a problem.

    Update:

I installed the windows version 8.1 of 'Serial IO driver without connected sleep Support Intel' and he's got the touch screen works, but the accelerometer does not always work.

  • How recovery will work after the new clean install?

I have a dv7 - 2177cl comes with Vista Home Premium 64-bit.  I'll do a clean Windows 7 install, when I receive.  What I've read, the recovery partition will be useless after that. I made the recovery disc for Vista.  My question is, once that Windows 7 is installed, do the new recovery disc that he will restore in windows 7 or should I return to the conditions of the factory first with Vista recovery disks and reinstall Windows 7?

Message edited by blgray on 01/12/2009 12:44

If you perform a clean Windows 7 install, you would not need the partition recovery. You need not use the Vista recovery unless kit until you want to go back to Windows Vista. Post successful Windows 7, drivers and any software installation required like you, I would say that you take a backup image of the C: drive so that you can recovery back to this work State of Windows 7. You can use Windows Backup and restore of Windows 7 to do so.

    Thaks.

    > Everything is ok, but is anyway download nero, which is included in the original installation, and install it after format?

Non-Toshiba tools and software that are part of the image of preinstalled Toshiba cannot be downloaded separately. You can use this software only as part of image of Toshiba.
If you have installed your own system, you must purchase the software.
