BOOTMGR is missing, how can I solve this

Hello. My laptop says:

«BOOTMGR is missing, press ctrl + alt + delete to restart»

I used my (part 3) 'windows vista recovery disk '. However, it only allowed me to "install windows" not fix.

Then I downloaded a vista recovery disk, but when I select the repair, he asks me to load drivers or take my windows installation. I have no idea how use the option "load driver" and my installation of windows is not come on the screen. Try to go further without selecting a windows installation has not helped.

Where should I go from here? Other threads on this topic seem quite old and, frankly, a bit beyond me in the computer knows how. Could someone please explain:

a: what happened to my computer?

b: what should I do to fix it

c: if possible, can I fix without losing the data of y on the computer?

Thank you very much guys, any help will be greatly appreciated.  :)

Hello

Did you put the hard drive on the 1st in the boot order in the BIOS and then started
the computer to see if it boots now correctly.

Configuration/settings (BIOS/CMOS) often F2 as you start to look at the screen - the boot
hard disk drive first, to see it, it will start. The value of the CD/DVD from the 1st to start Windows
Disc.

The links are in the previous answer - use EasyBCD

Sometimes using EasyBCD works when other methods are not.

I hope this helps.
