    original title: missing file

Miss me the windows system32 rundll32.exe. I can't access the Add/Remove in the control panel.

I tried to start - run with my c/d operating system

    I checked for viruses

I purchase software to remove etc and REG files.

    Now that the devil do?

    Thank you

    If this

I tried to start - run with my c/d operating system

means that you have tried to use sfc/scannow from start > run, your experience is not surprising.  This 'solution' is often suggested by people who don't really understand what this command does.  It does not help to restore a missing rundll32.exe file.

    For what is

    I checked for viruses

What is the name and version of your anti-virus application?  When (approximately) their subscription expires? What other antimalware applications installed?  What other antimalware applications you used recently to scan your computer?

If you have not yet used the "software to remove the REG files and etc." return for refund or throw it out.  "Registry cleaners", 'tuners', etc. are not useful.  If you used to "clean" the registry, use its "undo" feature (if it has one) to restore the registry.  Longtime MS MVP PA Bear:

TIP: If you still think again your registry database must be cleaned, repaired, amplified, to the point, healed, twisted, fixed, enlarged, "swept" or optimized (it isn't), read http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=28099 and draw your own conclusions. See also http://blogs.technet.com/markrussinovich/archive/2005/10/02/registry-junk-a-windows-fact-of-life.aspx

What probably happened is that your antivirus application deleted or quarantined in your file rundll32.exe thinking he was infected.  He could have, but probably not.  In any case, read the post that begins, "That 'solution' is not on my list." in the following thread: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-performance/systemrundllexe-not-found/6e30aff2-a88e-4d86-a654-753d54f632d1 you can also read the rest of the posts in this thread.

Note that c:\windows\system32\dllcache is a hidden folder, but you who type in the address bar of Windows Explorer (or copy and paste), the folder should open anyway.

  • How to get the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to recognize a file bootsect on my XP 32 bit machine, if I bought Windows 7 64 bit?

Title says it all. I scoured the internet for an answer.

I bought Windows 7 Professional Upgrade with the discount for students. I downloaded the file .iso image 64 bit on my account "Downloads + product keys." I also downloaded Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to make a USB bootable for Windows 7. I ran the utility and everything worked well, but at the end of step 4, I received the message "files copied successfully. However, we were able to run bootsect to make the USB drive bootable. If you need help bootsect... blah blah blah. »

I went looking for answers and I found the troubleshooting for the show here: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool#ms_help_topics_at0
Next to Windows 7, step 3 says "is there an"additional download options"drop-down list."
I had that day, but then this:
    Step 4: "in the drop-down menu, select"32-bit ISO." »
This is not possible, because I bought the 64 bit version of Windows 7. All I see are the 64-bit .iso and .exe.
I tried searching through Microsoft answers and found that many other people had this problem. I tried all of the suggestions for workarounds in this thread. http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-windows_install/problem-using-Win7-usbdvd-download-tool-concerning/37eadf15-85DD-4e56-A89C-fa0a3339b92e
The only solution I have tried was downloading the file bootsect from one source other than Microsoft.
Is it seriously the only way to make it work? To download a BOOTSECT FILE from an UNTRUSTED SOURCE? Come on, Microsoft.

If you purchased Windows 7 since the MS Store:

When you create a bootable USB device, I get an error on bootsect
To make the USB bootable, you must run a tool called bootsect.exe. In some cases, this tool must be downloaded from your Microsoft Store account. This can happen if you try to create a USB bootable 64-bit from 32-bit version of Windows. To download bootsect:

    1. Sign in to your Microsoft Store account to view your purchase history
    2. Search for your purchase of Windows 7.
    3. Next to Windows 7, there is a drop-down list "additional download options.
    4. In the drop-down menu, select "32-bit ISO."
    5. Right-click on the link and then save the bootsect.exe file to the location where you installed the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool (for example C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apps\Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool).
    6. Once the file has been saved, return to the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool to create your bootable USB device.

If you didn't buy Windows 7 since the MS Store:

Follow these instructions to work around the bootsect error:

    a. download and install the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool program, as described on theMicrosoft Store website.

    b. download a working version of 32-bit bootsect.exe . Here is a link to the 32 bit bootsect.exe:

    bootsect7600x86.zip
    From: http://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/54443-32-bit-bootsect.html

    c. Once downloaded, copy the BootSect.exe file in the same folder that contains the file ofWindows7-USB-DVD-Download - Tool.exe installed. This file in Windows Vista's default installation directory isC:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Apps\Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool\ (you need to look in XP)

    d. application of the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool as described on theMicrosoft Store website. The end result will give you a boot USB flash drive that contains everything you need to install the 64 bit version of Windows 7.

I use FF 3.6.18 on XP, Vista and Win7. Given that FF itself upgrade 3.6.18, Miss all kinds of icons of the addon. Needless to say most of the addons cannot work unless that icon there to click. When I went to the [toolbar Customize] window to drag the icons réécrirait tool/menu/status bars, I find that ALL my icons missing addon. The FF default icons are there, but all the addon icons are missing. I've seen a lot of messages from people with the same problem as FF4 running, but it is not only a problem with version 4. Most of the answers provided were advised going to the window to customize and dragging that icons back out - obviously written by people who have not been read the question very carefully. Others recommend clicking the [restore default icons] button. They did not read the question with much attention either. I have this problem on my PC, those running XP, Vista and 7. Yes, I already ran ladies of virus and spyware, and that has not helped one of my PCs. reinstall the addons is no help either. Since the problem is on all of my PCs in various operating systems and upgraded to FF4 seems to make things worse, it looks like a bug in FF. Most of my friends who use Firefox have the same problem. It is a bug, or is it repairable? Does anyone know how to solve this?

After, with great difficulty, eliminating the motor leads from my system, I tried half a dozen other things, but ultimately never gave up is fixed without wiping my hard drive clean. However, the latest update of Firefox (3.6.24) solved the problem! on all my computers! Don't know what you people at Mozilla has done, but thank you, thank you, thank you. No idea what caused the problem, or what fixed it, but it's a happy camper now.

  • Symbols up and down a page missing in the Windows Live Mail Inbox.

I spoke with Comcast, with Ceton Corp (manufacturing of my digital cable tuner card) and with Zap2it (info guide provider program for WMC).  All of them confirm what a) 668 is in my registration, b) 668 is tunable my card, and c) 668 announces are included in the current program guide data from Zap2it.  My data to guide program is also completely updated according to WMC. Zap2it has suggested that I use this site to submit the question to Microsoft:

  • Presentation settings is missing from the Windows Mobility Center

Satellite L 300 with Vista Home Basic

Recently installed everything, but have run windows update etc. Since then.

Presentation settings does not appear in the Windows Mobility Center, and I can not find presentationsettings.exe anywhere on the computer.

Have tried downloading VAP but no difference. Toshiba Assist has nothing to help me, I think.

I tried looking for drivers and utilities for the L300 and sees nothing to help me - no presentation or power related only downloads.

How can I get the presentation settings? The main problem I have is not to want the screen empties when you watch a DVD or streaming video. Even if you put windows power settings to never turn off the screen, it will still blank after a period of time without the intervention of the physical user, despite the video game.

AFAIK this option is always available when the laptop is preinstalled with Toshiba (factory State) recovery image.
You install own OS or what?

I have two Toshiba laptops, and both of them have this option in the Windows Mobility Center.

  • Windows 7 USB installation only boots in recovery

Thanks in advance to those who help.

Like most people, I bought a computer with windows 8, to learn that I hate it.

I have a real Windows CD on a USB key (the CD was almost broken.) And I used it for awhile, but my only problem is that since I used it to repair the windows vista on my old PC, it starts only in this black screen with the selection of the BONE, and or options work. There is no way that I know how to start the installation of windows 7.

Like I said, thank you in advance.

  • Insert the Windows recovery or installation media to continue - Windows 8

I tried to reset my Windows 8 Asus SonicMaster S300c for a few days. It was installed with a Windows 8 operating system and had been upgraded to Windows 8. 1. I tried to use the update, reset and various other techniques found on the web that offers workarounds for this situation.

Having none of them does not work for me, I created an image of USB flash drive recovery, entered the box boot UEFI and loaded the prompt orders and formatted the disk C: (OS disk).  I do not touch or change hidden partitions.

However, now that I'm booting from the disc Sandisk UEFI (my USB key), I get to the window 'Reset your PC' where he tells me to "insert the installer or Windows recovery media to continue.  Of course, I have my recovery media inserted, the system can choose from two places, the hidden or the USB drive.

I tried to restore the USB key and the hidden partition and none worked.  What can I do to retrieve Windows 8/8.1 on my computer.  (And it is possible to install Windows 10 on this laptop?)

I finally solve my problem.  I had to use a combination of various pages and links and articles help to help me sort.  Ranging from the Dism to using CDBurnerXP and RUFUS DiskPart.

I wrote my experience with, hopefully sufficient instructions for a person to get there installed system.
