  For example instead of put the name as "hotwheels 22" change in "hotwheels 22 - Gmail.

  I look around this forum, try to find a thread on the problems of wifi. I didn't, and I don't know that I missed, so I apologize if this has been covered before. (actually surprised it wasn't a bunch already also on droidforums.net)

  Wife and I got our new D3 on Monday 8/15. Passage the D1. Only real issues we have encountered are wifi connectivity and the terrible battery life. I am more concerned about the wifi at the moment.

  My phone connects, blue wifi icon in the notification bar, settings tell the signal strength is excellent. But 98% of the time or the browser market will connect. The few times that there, it took forever. My wife's phone is yet to happen. Just connect and instantly disconnects constantly. I ran for the years WPA2 wireless security. Our D1 never, never had a problem. I even fire my D1 upwards and it instantly connected again.

  I have reset the router. I pulled piles on the two D3. I did a factory reset on my phone last night. (maybe the improved battery, not sure) but wifi problems have made no improvement at all.

  Everyone knows these problems of wifi? If so, a fixed? Or should take us our Verizon phones?

  Try changing your router to WPA2, WPA (or WPA - WPA2 Mixed Mode). If it works, you have the same problem that had my first D3. I couldn't not all devices to see my D3 as a hotspot and connect more than 2-3 seconds before falling. I could also get it to shoot whatever it is my router with WPA2 set with any form of reliability. The first request would work, would not be the next 10, then then next couple would be... It was boring. Change to WPA to be fixed, but should not have to do. The question of the access point has been the water drop and I introduced it. I have diagnosed as a bad Wifi chip in the D3 and door to Verizon and let them mess with it for 45 minutes before they agreed it was a bad chip and brought a new from the back who immediately started working as a hotspot, then when I got home turned my router to WPA2 only and it has always worked well. I found a few others who had the same symptoms and traded it to solve their problems, too. Apparently it is not a widespread problem, but not an isolated, either. You probably have the same problem, as I have a dozen other devices, including a Droid X and X 2, who had no problems with WPA2.

  Hi TommieZook, I see that this is your first post here.  Welcome to our community!

  As for your question, there are few parameters that you might need to check.  #1 is the most likely:

  1. Power settings for your screen
     Press + W to find settings, and then type power to find and open Power Options.  On the left, click "choose when turn off the display" and set the timer accordingly.
  2. Sleep for your PC settings
     On the same page of the Power Options, click 'choose when the computer sleeps' to set the timer as well.
  3. Screen saver
     Windows 8 is not the screensaver on initially, but you can see these settings too.  For easy access, go to the desktop and right click, then choose Customize.  Choose screensaver downstairs and make sure that the setting of the timer is to your liking.
