Boring status dialog box

I posted this problem before and got no help, it appears whenever I start and can only get rid of by going to Task Manager and end, so I made a screenshot of what I mean hoping someone can give me help, I tried the system restore, but it is there exist

OK, so the Status.msi is related to the printer... driver you must uninstall all related HP printer software and reinstall the printer driver for this...

But to confirm that, if this is the case, you will need to uncheck everything in the list, restart the device and check the CV linked on this list...

  • Status dialog box

    Is it possible to use the status class so this id displays until an event occurs (for example show the State until another thread finishes an http connection)?

    Yes, I think that Yes, you must keep a reference to it so that you could call it the close() method to remove.  Remember though that it is easy for the user to make them disappear, and you will have no record of having them.  You can detect that.

    I think that instead, you might prefer to use the dialogue, because it gives you the ability to add a 'button' or something similar, that would be useful to give the user the option to cancel the request.  You can listen too close from the dialog box.

    Personally, I use my own Popup screen, because then I can show something that moves like a GaugeField, it makes the user think that something is happening.  It also has a Cancel button.

  • Experience in the creation of UIs compositable configuration dialog boxes

    The attached files are saved in 2009 LV. They are an experience. Please don't go out and say: "NEITHER said this is how you should do a dialog box options.»

    Oh - I guess I should mention - it is an experience of how make a dialog box options that can be reused, extended and modified for hierarchical systems. In other words, I can create a user interface of the options for the DAQ cards and then reuse this dialog box and add the options specifically for M-series cards, then reuse this dialog box and add options for a specific card. At each level, I can choose to reuse the existing set of options, I can reduce or disable some options, and I can add new options and when I hit the OK button, out POPs a unique configuration for the selected map object.

    That is the goal.

    This experience allows to get a part of that. I did a lot of work with the sub-panels with a transparent background.

    I hate the TAB key. I have no solution to the problem of how to set up the tab properly through the controls of these various sub-panels. Boring. And this project did lead me to an entry for the exchange of ideas for the transparent sub-panels of files: Sub-panels with 'make Transparent Panel' activated should allow mouse clicks switch to control...

    To take a look at this experience, unzip the attachment, open the project file and open Caller.vi. There are detailed instructions and explanations of what you see on the front of this VI. I put comments in various places. The code is ok quality - he will win no reward for the following style rules, but most of the wires straight race. All this is just to see how far I could go with this approach to compositing interfaces.

    Oh and if you learn something from all this, send a note of thanks for user tst. He had an initial framework that he worked with, happened to hit on a day where I could spend the time looking into it, and its code has inspired me to try this different approach. The end of it, I don't know how useful this approach will always for real production code, but it is a technique that I've never seen anywhere else... maybe someone out there will as inspired by my experience I've been by tst and will find a way to do it is better. Because, honestly, creating an extensible user interface infrastructure is a problem DIFFICULT and LV has several approaches to this kind of work, but none are particularly large. It would be nice to have a canonical "that's the way NOR and the CLAs say that we should write a dialog box options.

    And now, after having spent some time on 'R', I need to return to the part "D" in R & D...

    I enclose the original example, I sent to QA. It shows two other ways to arrange GUI - one by using a listbox control and using the vertically stacked sub-panels. I think that both are simpler than his approach.

    Notice that we use very different approaches in how the references of dialog boxes are acquired. Note that these two examples are proof of concept and have various problems.

    Anyway, if you want to see where this debate began and where my example was originally published, look here, where there is also a small video and an image.

  • Subvi behaves like the dialog box

    Hello LV'ers.

    I have a problem in my program of LV: 'I need my Subvi to behave like a dialog box.

    Design: if I call this Subvi (through the server VI - FPopen of the property node), my mainVI should NOT be controlled until the end of the Subvi. I think it's the same based on the dialog box, once the dialog box appears, we need to deal with first before you can make the controls of our main VI.

    my current status: I have two while loops, running in parallel: 1st loop for tracking data, 2nd loop of the menu setting. the Subvi that opens has been in the 2nd loop - it appears when I pushed the button (event structure/VIserver). now, once I called this Subvi, I can still click and control my mainVI that should not happen!

    I think it's quite possible, I don't know how. Anyone who knew this feature?

    Kind regards

    Properties of Sub - vi, the appearance of windows, click on Dialig.

  • cRIO: error 7 to read Volume information: I want him to stop the code to run does not appear a dialog box

    Hi, I have the following code which stops when a multibordure error.

    But in the case of "Error 7", the code instead of stop, shows a dialogue with 'Continue' botton illustrated in the following figure.

    I was wondering how I can change the code in a way that "Error 7" would have done stop the race continues to process does not open a dialogue with botton. In addition, I have the simple error handler at the end of the code.

    //////////////////////////////////////////////////

    ////////////////////////////////////

    ////////////////////////////////

    The simple error handler is what triggers the dialog box.  Read the help file on this function.

    If you want to stop based on a mistake, ungroup the cluster of error for status and the wire in the terminal stop ORing with everything cause normally your loop to stop.

  • Open dialog box reorganizes the files that appear in the file text box

    I asked about this problem for a while - it still exists under Windows 7 Microsoft apparent feels that it is the correct behavior. In an application using a dialog open, where multiple files can be selected by clicking on them, while the CTRL key is held down, the resulting list of file names appears in the file text box. However, the first clicked file name remains last in the list while others remain in the proper order. Why is this? (An example of application is Windows Media Player, where you do a right click, then click on file and then open. The open dialog box appears and allows the selection of multiple files). When this "feature" has been more boring, it's when I try to create a CD or DVD and I want to control the order of the files.

    Hello RickL - CaryNC, welcome.

    This feature is by design. Of course, you can select the files in reverse order. I would really recommend providing feedback about this here:
    http://connect.Microsoft.com/

    Other than that, unless you use an alternative shell, the feature is a design problem. Ryan Thieman

  • Problem with dismissing the dialog box

    Hello world

    This is my first post here. Sorry if the question is very simple...

    I need to download an image on server. I display a dialog box to confirm if the file should be downloaded.

    Everything works well except that the dialog box is dismissed after that the whole process is over. I know I'm missing something-related threads. pls help me to understand.

    Here is my code:

    public void fieldChanged(Field f, int context) {
        if (f == addButton) {
                        FileSelectorPopupScreen fps = new   FileSelectorPopupScreen();
            fps.pickFile();
            theFile = fps.getFile();

            if (theFile == null) {
                Dialog.alert("Screen was dismissed.  No file was selected.");
            }
            else {
                UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeAndWait (new  Runnable(){
                public void run(){
                    int confirmationResult = Dialog.ask(Dialog.D_YES_NO, "Do you                    want to upload?", Dialog.YES);
                    if (confirmationResult==Dialog.YES) {
                             status=1;
                    } else {

                    }
                }
              });

            if(status==1){
                Thread t= new Thread(){

                }
            }

        }

    My problem is that the I selected YES the dialog box only after the call to webservice licensees are completed and the image is published on the server and the screen is refreshed with the new image.

    Let me know what I'm missing.

    Welcome to the forum!

    Correctly, you start the process of network on a separate Thread.  Then you attach the wire event for this Thread by using the following instructions:

    t.Start ();
    t.Join ();

    So you give up the thread of events not until your networking activity has finished.  It does not block your event feed so that your application will become unresponsive to the user and as you noted, activities requiring feed event, such as the removal of your dialog box, cannot occur.

    You must reprogram your treatment so that the activity of the network as a completely asynchronous operation.  You can't wait on this.  You should get to tell you when it has finished.  I suggest that looking at the observer model during the implementation of this process.

  • Problem with the dialog box displayed when the RadioButton is selected.

    It is an application with 3 buttons button1, radio 2 and output key that uses System.exit (0)
    The problem is with the dialogs first two buttons

    2 Select a radiobutton, I get a dialog box, I click 'ok', dialog will, that's fine.

    I guess the event changed field is called twice, once deselection button1 and once to select button2. you pay your processing logic to account for this.

  • Field button to access a BlackBerry 7 application dialog box

    How to access button of the dialog (Ok, Cancel etc.) field if we create a dialog as follows:

    public static void showDialog(String iMsg) {

            Dialog dialog = new Dialog(Dialog.D_OK_CANCEL, iMsg, Dialog.CANCEL,
                    null, 0);
            dialog.setChangeListener(new FieldChangeListener() {

                public void fieldChanged(Field field, int context) {

                    if (field.getState() == Dialog.OK) {
                        Status.show("Ok Clicked", 1000);
                    } else if (field.getState() == Dialog.CANCEL) {
                        Status.show("Cancel Clicked", 1000);
                    } else {
                        Status.show("None Clicked", 1000);
                    }

                }
            });
            dialog.show();

        }

    I am trying to access like that, but not yet managed.

    I had another effective way to take action on the button of the dialog field actions is:

    public static void showDialog(String iMsg) {

            int response = Dialog.ask(Dialog.D_OK_CANCEL, iMsg);
            if (response == Dialog.OK) {
                Status.show("Ok Clicked", 1000);
            } else if (response == Dialog.CANCEL) {
                Status.show("Cancel Clicked", 1000);
            } else {
                Status.show("None Clicked", 1000);
            }

        }

    But I want to know if its possible to show set button of the dialog field action if we follow the first way to create the dialog box.

    Problem solved:

    OK to be registered listener DialogClosedListener and good code is

    public static void showDialog(String iMsg) {

            Dialog dialog = new Dialog(Dialog.D_OK_CANCEL, iMsg, Dialog.CANCEL,
                    null, 0);

            dialog.setDialogClosedListener(new DialogClosedListener() {

                public void dialogClosed(Dialog dialog, int choice) {

                    if (choice == Dialog.OK) {
                        System.out
                                .println("********************************************   OK");
                        Status.show("Ok Clicked", 1000);
                    } else if (choice == Dialog.CANCEL) {
                        System.out
                                .println("********************************************   Cancel");
                        Status.show("Cancel Clicked", 1000);
                    } else {
                        System.out
                                .println("********************************************   None");
                        Status.show("None Clicked", 1000);
                    }

                }
            });

            dialog.show();

    Thank you

    Most people have no need a close button, they expect the ESC to do it for them.

    That said, I disagree with this statement:

    "I think that the only good way to use managers other than the AbsoluteFieldManager, is to use them at all."

    Designing a user experience that works well on multiple devices is difficult, and I don't think that has a size fits all approach work.  In addition, I don't have the time to create formats for specific screens for each device type, and although this will not happen now, I didn't have to rework screen designs every time that a new device came out.  I think that it is possible to create a common user interface experience given the size of the screen, and whether it is touch.  If you want to read my thoughts on this, have a look at the tutorial of the user interface you will find here:

  • Retrieve the value of the dialog box

    Hello

    I have a class that extends the dialog box. A few Radiobuttns are added. I want to get the value of the RadioButton selected the actual class of the screen, call the dialog box by clicking the Dialog.OK button. The code I tried is as follows:

    My class of the screen:

                    XXXDialog clScrn = new XXXDialog ();
                    if (clScrn.doModal() == Dialog.OK) {

                        // I click Ok, but this is never shown
                        Dialog.alert("Closed & here");
                        Dialog.alert("Selected = " + clScrn.getSelectedItem());
                    }
                    clScrn = null;

    The dialog class-

      public XXXDialog() {
            super(Dialog.D_OK, "Select Item", Dialog.OK, null, VERTICAL_SCROLL | VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR | Field.USE_ALL_WIDTH | Field.USE_ALL_HEIGHT);
            rbg = new RadioButtonGroup();
            rb1 = new RadioButtonField("One", rbg, false, Field.USE_ALL_WIDTH);
            rb2 = new RadioButtonField("Two", rbg, false, Field.USE_ALL_WIDTH);

            rb1.setChangeListener(this);
            rb2.setChangeListener(this);

            add(rb1);
            add(rb2);
        }

        public void fieldChanged(Field f, int context) {
    /*
    Actually, I want to know which field was clicked RadioButton or Ok button. If it is Ok, then I want to hide and return back to screen.
    */

            try {
                    RadioButtonField fd = (RadioButtonField) f;
                    item = fd.getLabel();
                    System.out.println("Selected = " + item);
            } catch (Exception e) {
            }

            try{
                ButtonField fd = (ButtonField) f;
                System.out.println("********* Button PRESSED = " + f);
                this.close();
            } catch (Exception e) {
            }

            System.out.println("*********** Field Count = " + f.getManager().getFieldCount() + " Index = " + f.getIndex());
        }

        public String getSelectedItem() {
            return item;
        }

    The XXXDialog class is in a separate file of java.

    Can anyone help me on what to do and how to achieve the goal.

    Thank you

    I found my solution. What I did is: -.

    In my main screen, I call the as dialog box

    clScrn.doModal ();

    Dialog.Alert (Come Back here");   I see this alert as soon as the dialog box is closed.

    In my class of dialogue, I have only the Ok button, dialog can be closed using the ESC key as I implemetned the code-

    Dialog box does not close on ESC
    {} public boolean keyChar (key char, int status, int time)
    Boolean retVal = false;
    {Switch (Key)}
    case Characters.ESCAPE:
    break;
    }
    Return retVal;
    }

    So now, there is no other means to close the exception, Ok button dialog box and I make sure that when Ok is clicked, 1 radiobutton is selected.

    Thank you all for the time and effort.
