Box of research related to html pages

Hey everybody

still new hahaha

I was wonder if you could help me with a code only once:

You typed in a search area of New York and click find that a tab/window or page it self is available for a New York page in your Web site?

Thank you

The search bar default in templates is just for the show.  It DOES nothing until you connect it to a good faith search engine.  See this tutorial for more details.

    Here's how I did it.

I saved the page to a folder on my C drive.

Then in Windows Explorer, I opened the folder and double click on the page to open it in Firefox. (If Firefox is not your default browser, then you can drag the page of Windows Explorer in a Firefox tab to open it.)

Then I went into the dialog box Options and clicked on the use current Pages button.

    It works for you?

Download html would be using a httpconnection. check the samples that are provided with the jde or use the strength of the research.

You can catch clicks by navigationclick by replacing or by implementing and adding a fieldchangelistener.

  • Navigate to another HTML page in the same section file

    Hi all

It is possible to navigate to another HTML page in the same file of the article? E.g. index.html contains an < a > tag has a href pointing to page2.html? This seems to work in the application of preflight in the iOS, but not in Windows. Currently I use relative links, for example

    < a href = "page2.html" > Page 2 < /a >

Should I use a different syntax? For example

    < a href = "navto://page2.html" > Page 2 < /a >

    Thank you

    Frank

I found the solution. Use rather JS. Windows.Location.href seems to work for ios and windows.

  • Insertion of files Adobe Edge in my html page

    Hi all

I have an urgent problem of inserting a series of animations that I created in Adobe Edge in my portfolio website.

I have 6 files to insert, which form a series of short animations.

When I publish each file "adobe" edge, I understand that you must insert the Adobe Edge enforcement code in the head section and Edge Class code in the body section.

What I'm not clear, this is where I save html, edge.js and edgeActions.js files. Should it be stored in the main folder where is saved the index.html file?

And where images must be saved?

If I try to move these files into subfolders, which seem to make sense to me, the animation does not work.

What I leave me puzzled, you also need to record a 'edge.5.0.1.min.js' and a ' jquery-file 2.0.3.min.js in my javascript file. But whenever I publish an edge file, I need to save these files with the same name. And I don't know where these files must be saved.

Hope I'm making sense here. I'm new to web development, and I hope I can show these animations on my portfolio website.

Did someone met with these problems when you attempt to insert adobe edge files in an html page?

    Thank you

    S

When you publish your animated project of edge, go to the "published" folder and extract all the files in the following folder titled 'web' and place them (as they are) in the folder corresponding to your index.html file. Once you add running Adobe Edge code animate the animation to your index.html file should be responsible. Don't forget that the edge file is already linked to image and js files in the exact form they appear after the opening of the "web" folder Thus any movement of files without taking into account other will break the link. For example: you can not put the .js to another folder after publication file because the file html for your project is related to the .js file exactly where he was when the publication was made. So he'll keep looking for this file in this location unless otherwise stated.

An example of how you can organize your files: when you open your Web folder, it should be arranged something like this

    • -Images
    • -example.js
    • -exampleproject - edge.html

Once the files are placed in the location of the index file we set something like:

    • -Images
    • -example.js
    • HTML - exampleproject-edge (NOTE: this html file becomes irrelevant, after adding the runtime code in the index file)
    • -index.html

Once this is done, you can add your other projects as well. You will have to manually put all images used for each project in a single "record"of the images. "

I hope this helps clarify things a bit!

  • Download html pages built with muse adobe edition

When I make changes to my site of muse and FTP the html page, these changes have been made, the published page looks broken - for example, that the text is too near the edge of the text box no matter how many, I compensated for it. Especially if changes have been made within a widget like the accordion or tab panel. Do I have to re - FTP the CSS file and folder scripts every time I make a change to a page?

Your script file should be good if you make simple changes but yes, you must also download the CSS files.

  • How to open an HTML page that is part of my project using Captivate 6

I'm looking to create an HTML page that uses javascript to extract information from Captivate and then go to the window of the browser in the form of report.

I can't see how you can open a page Web URL of Captivate (by putting in an address explicit IE www.abc.com or http://www.abc.com/myReport.html)

but I'm curious to know what address can I use if the html file is in the SAME folder in the index.html file that launches the captivate project (or maybe a folder down)...    I am eager to ensure that this works if I just publish the project to a Web server or not.

I thought, I could use a relative reference (IE something comme.\myReport.html), but I had no luck so far

Ad hoc solution to Captivate demigods might provide us with a built-in server.

Copy the dependencies in the said folder IE: C:\Users\Tom\AppData\Local\Temp\CP2840464090993Session\CPTrustFolder28 40464091009\CaptivatePreviewLoader\) then you will be able to simply F12 it and get an overview of your career. Remember, this is based on a single session of CP. If you close off CP, you lose this feature and need to copy these files in the folder of the new session again.

The proposed closure should not affect it this way, only closing the application should.

  • Help a SWF link to HTML pages please!

Hello and thank you for your time , read this. I try to use a .swf for a navagation button in a Web site I've created, but I'm running into a bit of a problem. I need to know how to code the button (Flash) so that they link to my specific .html page. Is this possible to do with a realitive link? Thanks again for your time!

I have no way of knowing if this is a correct relative address, even if your slashes are not in the right direction for the implementation of web...------versus.

  • Multiples. SWF in a HTML page

    Hi all

I am trying to display several objects .swf into an html page.  The first object of .swf plays very well, but the other does not.  I've looked everywhere for the answer, but I don't know what to do (Besides, I'm a Flash noob).  My page is http://users.wpi.edu/~cdaley_jw/animation.html, please do not hesitate to consult my code.

Dreamweaver tells me that swfobject.registerObject exist, or something like that, but I see that this code which is used elsewhere.  Swfobject.js in my main folder, too.  I don't have any idea what I'm missing.

    Thank you very much

    Chris

If you use the FLVPlayback component, using a relative address should not be a problem. Click on the component when it is on the stage and in the Panel properties, parameters, set the path of the WEB PAGE containing the .swf in the .flv file in the section "contentPath".

Since you have the .flv in the same folder as the Web page, the relative path is:

    Daley_Christopher_Walk_Cycle.FLV

Although not necessary, the absolute path is:

    http://users.WPI.edu/~cdaley_jw/Daley_Christopher_Walk_Cycle.FLV

    Good luck!

  • Flash plays don't pitch on the html page after the model is changed

    Hello

Can anyone help. If I change anything on a model, none of the files .swf on pages based on this template will work when you preview in the browser.

    I use DW CS3.

    Someone at - it ideas

    Nice day

This problem can be considered a limitation to a certain point because Dreamweaver did not have the "auto-Update" capacity, although it wasn't really the best practice to include Flash content in a model DW.

There is a workaround solution. You may need to change the template (.dwt) himself and work in Code view.

    • In Code view, use find and replace (Edition > find and replace) have so that it will be easier for you to find what you are looking for.
    • In the find and Replace window, choose current Document as the value for find in, the Source Code and as a Research.
    • In the search field, type--> 'src' (including apostrophes), and then click Next.
    • Once you have found 'src', pay attention to the simple quoted text next to it. The value in single quotes is the path where the Flash file is saved. try to remove the ... / if you happen to see. (do if the Flash file is located in the same folder where the HTML page that uses it is registered)
    • Use find and replace again, this time, try searching for 'movie' (including the single quotes). Again, you will see the text next to him who has the same value as what you are looking for before. Do the same thing, try to remove the ... /. (do if the Flash file is located in the same folder where the HTML page that uses it is registered)

Save the DW template file and try to view the pages in the browser.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • Incorporation of an HTML page in a Flash animation

I try to incorporate an HTML page in the center of a Flash movie and I was wondering if this is possible, and if so, what is the code to do. I want it as a small box in the middle of my SWF.

You can add HTML in format txt to a TextField or TextArea component. This allows for simple things, href, b, u, i, p... But for all the HTML features, you may want to look into a DIV container that sits on top of your flash object using CSS styles.

So I thought, it's to make the picture a button and do a window of html (a popup) to see the larger version. Is the right way to do it or is there a better sugguestions? If this way is a good way can you let me know how to do this? This is my first flash site, if you want to check it out I have an almost complete version on web emoney

It's a good approach, you can stick to it. I wouldn't do it otherwise.
To open pre-set you need this kind of action related to the pop-up button:

    on (release) {}
    getURL ("javascript:n_name = window.open ('image.html', 'window1', 'width = 350, height = 250'); void (0); ») ;
    }

Suggest placing the image in the HTML page, you can set the Nice title for her. If you go the
JPG directly, it displays a path of ugly to the file on the server.
Second, the name of window1 mind. Use another name for each link, otherwise happy you
    opens in the same window.

  • legality/practicality of nesting complete and valid HTML pages

    People:

DW CS3 on Intel Mac OS 10.4.11

This is a generic skeleton HTML page call the "index.php". You will see a little
    php in the mid code:

    <! DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional / / IN".
    < html >

    < head >
    ...
    < / head >
    < body >
    ....
    <? PHP require ("another_page.html");? >
    ...
    < / body >
    < / html >

If the content of the 'another_page.html' is invalid, it contains, outside
level, < html > < / html >. That is, when the page is served, the
recipient browser will see something like this:

    < html >
    ....
    < html >
    ...
    < / html >
    ...
    < html >

In other words, this completely nested product - well that otherwise quite valid - HTML
files. I read that this is a BAD IDEA... Of course, you can do it, but I can't find anywhere that it is said that you can't tell the HTML specification.

Uh, I was nesting of files like this for months, and I have not noticed
something goes wrong on the customer. But I have a very narrow test
Basic: a simple browser, only FireFox on Mac OS 10.4.x.

OK, common sense says that you should not risk doing unusual things for browsers. Based on what I saw while looking for this issue and the fact that pages that result may not test W3C validation, I am convinced: it is definitely a BAD IDEA, and I need to fix it.

You can guess that I have a deeper question. Well Yes! I designed a site
who has a unique model page, index.php, which dynamically fills
content using php 'require '. I put individual pieces of content of .html
files, which are all autonomous valid - in starting and ending < html >
with < / html >. Bingo! Stand-alone-valid HTML nested files, BAD IDEA.

Why do all the .html files autonomous valid? Because Dreamweaver
insists. I can't get working WYSIWYG, nor can I use the entire site
CSS differently. I need all the work to do in the index page and the line segments.

Question 1: This problem is not all the time in the design of dynamic web page?

Question 2: How can I fix or workaround?

I thought about plans to "roll out" the index page but they rearrange the whole problem. There is no way to "UN-contain" logically contained things.

DW provides a way of 'pseudo include' the outdoor elements for the purposes of the creation? I looked, but I did find something like that.

Otherwise, there could be a script or an add-on that removes items from some files - inside those holding the content - before their download. I have not seen such a thing, but I'm not quite clear about where to look.

All the other solutions I've heard involve hand-setting of each file for each edition. It is absolutely not realistic!

    TIA

    Henry

    Gary:

Sound effect: . "Design-time style sheet" is EXACTLY what I needed! I've looked everywhere but I couldn't find anything, even in places like the DW CS3 help. Could not understand the terminology of right. Never occurred to me to look in the menu 'text' DW. As soon as I read the sentence, I knew that my troubles were nearly over. Do you have a quick test case. Yeeeeeeeesssssss! The W3C Markup Validator is now happy. Thank you thank you thank you.

For the record, I had up to 200 pages of content that will need to be marked as containing the design-TIME style sheet references. This is not something I relish in hand and the mouse, using the DW--> Styles CSS-> DTC text... I did a little research, found that the "marking" is done by the clichés of XML files in the nearby _notes folder. Looks like a great job for a script...

Uh, kind of followed: it was how you got my topic ' legality/practicality of HTML pages complete, valid of nesting' to the 'Design-time style sheet? Really, I have accumulated my brain to get to that I wasn't happy with it, and many people did not have what I wanted could you suggest what should I use in the subject line and the body of my post which would have been better?

    Thank you!

    Henry

  • Why can't I save a local HTML page on the new tab page?

I have an HTML page stored on my hard drive local. I created a bookmark for it; the url begins with "file://". I can easily add any other web page marked with a bookmark to the new tab page, but I can't add my local HTML page. How do I do that?

    Hello, try to do this
Open your page normal HTML (double click on the file), then copy the address address bar (the path of your daughter), then in the address bar, type "subject: config", press ENTER, yes I'm cautioned (some look like this, sorry I don't have FX in English), in the search bar, type "browser.newtab.url" and the option that is displayed, click with the right button of the mouse and click on change... or double click on the option , change its value to a copy the address (address of your file you copied), click OK and test

    Sorry my bad English!

    Thank you

1 - is the HTML page to specify the correct encoding, and is the file saved in this encoding? Validate your markup and style sheet in the links below.

    2. the style sheet point to the correct file?

    3. the police is a Unicode font? If so, there may be another problem with the font file. Try to use the following fonts generator to convert it into several formats.
