• Comparison of BPEL and ODI for integrations

  We expect the integration of two different versions within oracle applications. We evaluate the component of technology to use (ODI VS. BPEL Oracle Data Integrator).
  
  * There are two types of data that need to be synchronized between these two. A type is reference data (for example - items, suppliers) and the other type is associated processes (purchase orders, orders). Reference data sync-up should not have any intelligence to be built in the process, since it is mainly the loading data. ODI seems to be a better candidate for reference data sync-up
  * Sync-up associated process would require intelligence to be built in the integration process. BPEL seems to be a better candidate to do this. However, this can be achieved even by using ODI since we can execute some PL/SQL APIs or call ODI web services. The required logic can be kept in PL/SQL or web services.
  
  Can you please share your thoughts on the advantages/disadvantages of the use of ODI VS. BPEL (in terms of volume of bass vs a high volume of data and the impact on performance etc.).

  In general, if the volume is too high, and the performance is very critical, then choose ODI. However if you want to have all the benefits of loosely coupled SOA integration, volume are not that high and there is treatment of activities it takes to arrive before the data makes it to the other side, use PIP of the ABC of the AIA connector architecture.

  How can I fix all of these issues, please?

• Very bad audio and video performance

  I have a Pavilion dm1 laptop running Windows 7.  When I got all first the machine audio and video performance was very good.  However, towards the end of last year the performance for audio and video has become extremely slow.  Still, the sound stutters even without video.

  I used the tools to clean the registry, updated (or verified) all drivers I can think, but nothing has not improved.

  Maybe related, but less to worry about because it is necessary that in rare occasions, boot has become very slow too.

  I think I have tracked down a part of the problem by chance.

  Normally, I start my DM1 when connected to various devices of office as keyboards etc.  These are all plugged into the USB ports.  As the boot begins there very long delays in the process.  And when the boot ends stuttering audio and video as described.  However, if no USB device is attached during the boot process, start happening quickly and the audio/video all work fine.

  This will not affect performance, but it can change the default value of Photoshop CS3.

  In bridge for file associations, you can check if the extensions such as JPEG, PSD etc files have Photoshop selected CC.

  Also check the program by default for images if you directly open images with Photoshop.

  Click on it (the left screen)-in the centre, there will be a complete information on your composite.

  To test you must press the 'Test' (retirement, stop).
  You will see 2 tabs: request and response.

  On the query tab, you will see all your input fields composite - you can fill them and press "Trest Webservice" (top-right).
  If successful - a response tab will open and you will see a result.

  If something wrong - return to the dashboard and press the ID of Instance - there will be a details step by step of composite launched.

  Hello

  If you want to create Materialized View Log, is usually because you were planning to implement FAST REFRESH mode for materialized views.

  As sb92075 says there is no free lunch.

  But, you should compare the cost of some insert/delete on the materialized view log , and the cost of a COMPLETE REFRESH from your point of view, materialized.

  If the Base Table must periodically be recharged with millions of rows and then, FAST REFRESH and Materialized View Log mode is not the right solution.

• Firefox 10 - installed and the performance is very slow, unresponsive while trying to load websites.

  Just noticed the other day on my server and it could have been thought Nvidia driver. Update that and same result with Firefox very slow in delay/performance while making the web pages? Downgraded to Firefox 9.0 and problem solved. Return to previous performance levels.

  Just received and installed the update for Firefox worm 10.02 and voila... all the symptoms of the problems I had been able to correct themselves? Always curious what the issue was with my install in Server 2008? Have the latest Firefox installed in Fedora 16-64 bit and works without a problem. I have dual boot this machine between the two O/S once again, thanks to all who offered suggestions or advice about my problems.

• Skype crashing and poor performance

  I have a Lumia625 with WP8.1. My problem is that Skype has a very bad performance on my phone. It crashes 6 times out of 10 at the start, and even if I managed to start it, the entire application is slow and laggy. Sometimes, I can't even write a message there is so much lag. Video call is absolutely out of the question. It blocks my whole phone. I have no similar problems with other applications of instant messaging nor with the high end games. There is something obviously with a lot more resources in the Skype app it's supposed to. It is a simple chat program, why would he need so much resource?

  The problem seems to come from the lower (512 MB) RAM of my phone model, because I experienced the same effect with the badly written apps that do not have in mind that there are devices of RAM 512, not only 1 GB + ones and use too many resources.

  Please, don't try to suggest to reboot/reset the phone, and then reinstall the application. Those who are already behind me, and they did NOT help the problem. I don't mean temporary workaround.

  Please find a solution to this problem, because it is super annoying, and I can't use Skype, which will lead to finally let me Skype.

  Looks very good, I thought about it. I reinstalled Skype again, but this time before that I did actually, I opened the settings/Storage Wizard and set it to save Apps to the phone (before he was put on the SD card). So after that I reinstalled Skype like this, now it works waay better. It's always a bit slow at the start, but it didn't crash eversince. I can change my profile picture and send messages without lag or crash.

  so... If you can improve the performance of Skype when it runs from an SD card, it would be the best solution, but for now it seems to be enough if I intall on the phone storage

• Satellite L50 and SSD - performance problem

  I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite L50-A-1EH and the first thing I did was to replace the hard drive with an SSD.
  Initially the SSD is not recognized by the BIOS, like many other users across the Internet reported as well.

  To prove this statement here are other people having the same problem, and people have tried different SSD.

  The problem can be solved by changing a setting in the BIOS.

  The SSD is able to transfer files at a speed of 500 MB/s.

  However, in this mode the SSD transfers files at 133 MB/s.
  I lose 4 x the speed of the SSD.

  I also discovered today that is not serious if I am running in mode UEFI BIOS (CSM).

  Combined with AHCI BIOS mode it takes [parameter] Interface SATA for battery life, otherwise the SSD is not recognized.

  The Toshiba using the latest firmware (to July 23, 2014), which is v1.70.
  The SSD is a Samsung 840 Evo and has the latest firmware, which is EXT0BB6Q.

  Given that the SATA interface is set to battery life, the SATA interface is set to SATA1, who of course tops out at 133 MB/s.

  For me, it is simply amazing that a laptop with a Core i7-4700MQ the year 2014 cannot detect an SSD SATA3.

  Does anyone have a suggestion how to fix this?
