Skype crashing and poor performance

Hello!

I have a Lumia625 with WP8.1. My problem is that Skype has a very bad performance on my phone. It crashes 6 times out of 10 at the start, and even if I managed to start it, the entire application is slow and laggy. Sometimes, I can't even write a message there is so much lag. Video call is absolutely out of the question. It blocks my whole phone. I have no similar problems with other applications of instant messaging nor with the high end games. There is something obviously with a lot more resources in the Skype app it's supposed to. It is a simple chat program, why would he need so much resource?

The problem seems to come from the lower (512 MB) RAM of my phone model, because I experienced the same effect with the badly written apps that do not have in mind that there are devices of RAM 512, not only 1 GB + ones and use too many resources.

Please, don't try to suggest to reboot/reset the phone, and then reinstall the application. Those who are already behind me, and they did NOT help the problem. I don't mean temporary workaround.

Please find a solution to this problem, because it is super annoying, and I can't use Skype, which will lead to finally let me Skype.

Looks very good, I thought about it. I reinstalled Skype again, but this time before that I did actually, I opened the settings/Storage Wizard and set it to save Apps to the phone (before he was put on the SD card). So after that I reinstalled Skype like this, now it works waay better. It's always a bit slow at the start, but it didn't crash eversince. I can change my profile picture and send messages without lag or crash.

so... If you can improve the performance of Skype when it runs from an SD card, it would be the best solution, but for now it seems to be enough if I intall on the phone storage

  • Big screen and poor Performance

    I've had my laptop for 2,5 years.  When I booted it places this afternoon all the icons were larger than normal and there was yellow wavy lines horizonatally across the screen.  I can't seem to normal appearance, and it moves much more slowly than normal.  Help!

    Looks like your video driver needs to be updated. There are two ways to do this. We need to update the driver through the Device Manager and the other is to go to your laptop manufacturers website and download the latest driver for Vista.

    (1) right click on computer and select manage. Select Device Manager. Expand display adapters and right click on the listed graphics card and select Update driver.

    2) go to the manufacturers of your laptop's Web site and go to the Support section and search for driver downloads. Even sites, but you can usually get right where you need to go with the exact model number, usually listed at the bottom of the laptop.

  • Skype crashing the program and the PC when making or accepting a call?

    Recently, my Skype crashing and freezing my PC when I make or accept a call, so the only thing I could do was to reset my computer. It's never happened before and talk to my friends a pain when they call me will freeze, it will make me sometimes in the call so I can talk but not able to do anything on my computer. While the suggestion of D.Schink will work, it will remove all your call history and the cat. There is a much less destructive approach:

  • Skype crashes after a few seconds on both PC and Galaxy S4

    Hello

    I use Skype for quite a long time now and it's just kind of a weird thing:

    I've been connected on Skype with my old Hotmail account and then went away and left it connected as I usually do.

    When I come back a few minutes later, Skype is suddenly disconnected.

    When I try to sign in again with my Hotmail account, it says that someone else may have used my Hotmail account and it must verify that I am the original user, but it's really old, so as far as I know is the address and the password.
    No idea how to fix this, either. So I guess I'm stuck with just using my Skype account, without my Hotmail contacts.

    Then I log in and about ~ 5 seconds later late Skype crashes. It happens every time. Tried on my phone and it goes also.

    Nothing I know has happened lately. No malware, no one asking questions about the accounts, no update for what it is.

    I really need help with this one.

    Thanks in advance.

    If your Skype account is bound with the Microsoft account, then try to separate them.

    From the day that VPN has been implemented, the performance was poor. Frequent disconnections sessions live to the VPN nodes and very low transfer rate was alarming to users.

    The servers in A location and users to the site B gets authenticated at the server DC level in A location

    Applications of Terminal Server remote as Quickbooks, QQ Evolution, attendance RX serve also the location has by users to the location B

    The login is your time and all applications are extremely slow.

    I tried to copy files between share data between two locations and the results are as follows

    Location A to location B-> 130 Kbps 140 Kbps

    Location location B A-> 150 Kbps to 160 Kbps

    What can be the problem for these poor performance VPN?

    -Change the encryption for the least secure OF THE /MD5 would have a significant impact because it can reduce the overload on the routers?

    -Even if both routers are routers SMB, it has really good VPN flow according to the data sheets. I couldn't find VPN flow mentioned in the WRVS4400N data sheet. One of the sons of CSC, I also noticed the VPN of WRVS4400N flow seemed really low as only about 1.6Mbps. (https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2107881)  Whereas RV220W router has VPN 90Mbps flow, according to the datasheet.

    So, what can be the cause of the problem and what can be fixes possible?

    RVS4000 was designed to work in a small office. It supports 5 VPN tunnels with a maxium of 2 Mbps flow measured in a laboratory environment. It has a processor that has a motor integrated IPS, who would deliver 20 Mbps LAN - WAN throughput when IPS is enabled.

    RV220W has been designed to operate in a slightly larger office with 25 IPsec VPN tunnels. It has a processor that has a built-in cryptographic engine able to deliver throughput 90 Mbps of IPsec. RV220W also supports 5 SSL VPN tunnels that can be used by employees and business partners for remote access.
