Ciao,.

Dall hai postato, che interfaccia di health ti vedo che sta dicendo che NON hai problemi.

Tramite quell'interfaccia vedi tutti i sensory che he CIM del tuo Server ti e mostra he loro e quello che vedi status ' da interpretarsi come:

"di sensore he Failed Array by it drive bay drive 1 1 e' ok ' ossia non e' didn't.

I have sensory che vedi are dal Comptroller che stai using e dai caricati provider: case cerca I provider date by I vari host nei siti del Winery.

  • Status unknown heath ESXi

    Hello.

I use Dell openmanage essentials to manage our servers, ESXi included. However, for our ESXi servers (which are all 5.1.0 build 914609) I am unable to get the State of health. Servers appear under the folder/umbrella "VMware ESX Servers" in the devices view and I can see that all installed virtual machines, including servicetag and various other HW information.

    That's what I did:

-Installed the VIB OMSA via vCenter Update Manager (dell repository)

-Check the installation of the OMSA VIB and restarted host

    -Configuration of the SNMP traps

    -Active CIM OEM

-Discovered server although the Management Protocol

I have configured separately by WSMAN and 'check status' discovery via SNMP.

Through the troubleshooting tool that comes with Dell OpenManage Essentials, I am able to connect successfully to the server by using OMSA remote Enablement, audit of Port, SNMP and WSMAN.

I'm so stuck. Someone has an idea of what could be bad?

    Kind regards

    Nils Rune Hjelle

The trick seems to be deleting all the beaches of discovery and enter it again. The State of health is now very well. Not the ideal solution to be honest, but at least now it works.

    Thanks for all your comments.

    Hello

the link that I commented, explian how to monitor the status of the ESXi hardware by using the cmdlets for powershell CIM 3.0.

    Not the virtual machines

    This, will you?

Check this code from the link, you should notice that connects to an esxi host, not virtual machines:

    import-moduleCimCmdlets

    3 $HostUsername="root"

  • Daily ESXi NTP healthcheck service

    Hello

We have the need to monitor the config and status of our ESXi hosts the NTP service and tried some of the solutions mentioned on this blog. The last one I tried was posted by "jaydo123" but seems to be for a single post.

Our goal is to interview guests and view state on a web page that could be controlled by our events team

Example of the info we need.

Hostname, NTPservice State, NTP server and the current time on the esxi host.

We will have the page to refresh every hour.

Has anyone ever had the need to do and if so any suggestions on getting this right.

    Thank you

    Johan

Take a look on Script: check the status of ntp and time on your ESX Servers.

It requires the use of plink to retrieve the current date of the ESXi servers.

  • ESXi 5.1 status host HA is showing that the election

    Hello

I have a node 4 ESXi 5.1 HA and DRS Cluster. Recently, I replaced all these hosts SSL certificates and prior to this activity, I had turned off the AP. Now, after replacing the hosts SSL certificates - when I am allowing the PA on the cluster, 1 single ESXi host is projection status of HA - ' Running (Master) and rest all three hosts are 'Election' HA status.»

Tried to re - install the HA agent on the host, but issue still persists. Also tried the re - configure the AP on hosts ESXi, deactivation and activation of AP on the cluster, but no luck.

Can someone help me for that to be resolved.

    Thank you

    KC

    Hi all

    Thanks for all your response.

Problem is solved without the help of the HostReconnect.pl script. I followed the steps below and now all ESXi hosts demonstrate normal HA status.

    (1) put the host in Maintenance Mode. Unplug and remove from the vCenter server.

    (2) restart the management through DCUI Agent.

    (3) uninstalled the HA agent using the command line.

    (4) add the host to the Cluster.

    5) out of Maintenance Mode.

By following these steps - correctly configured the AP on all four ESXi hosts. Now a single host is show as master and rest three hosts are displayed as slaves HA status.

    Kind regards

    KC

  • vCenter 4.1/ESXi 4.1 material status "Communication error with the server.

I am slot that a brand new installation of vCenter with two new installs of ESXi 4.1 connected on it. I use on Dell PowerEdge 2950 s ESXi servers. I tired the customized version of Dell and vmware ESXi vanilla version. My host vCenter is Windows 2008 R2.

In vCenter, the two server ESXi, any version of ESXi, I run, I get "Communication error with the server" error when I click the tab hardware state. No data appears in the hardware status tab.

Only suggestion of Dell has been updated with firmware/BIOS on the server level. I did and it did not help.

Anyone has any suggestions or ideas what would cause this?

I had exactly the same problem what is to have everyone on this thread.  I finally called VMware support.  It is certainly a problem with Tomcat.  Apparently, during my initial installation of tomcat server vCenter (on a Win2k8R2 vanilla Server / unreleased) na not create a database file.  The vCenter Server uninstalled eventuall tech and went through the Setup again.  For some reason any Tomcat created db it's good the second time.  After installation, it takes about 5 minutes for the db should be created.

On Windows 2k8R2 it is located here: C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\tomcat\lib\xhiveConfig\data

The name of the comic is VcCache-by default-0. XhiveDatabase.DB

My server didn't have one at all.  The relocation has created, at the beginning it is 0KB in size.  After 5 minutes, it grows up to 25, 600KB.

Everything in my vCenter works now correctly.  I'm on 4.1.320137

    I hope this helps.

Check if the port TCP 5989 (incoming and outgoing) is open to allow CIM transaction traffic pass between the host ESX and vCenter Server and vice versa.
DMZ host is managed by a server vCenter Server outside the DMZ. It may occur if the port 5989 is blocked, even if ESX and vCenter Server are in the same network.

  • ESXi 6.0 - SSH Command to check the status of running tasks

    Hi all

What I'm trying to do is quite simple, but do not know whether it is complex or not.

I'm checking the State of a task via SSH. You know, like that of the lower part of the vSphere Client where it shows you the task and the status of it. I need to monitor the % of the deployment of the MV EGGS in various hosts via a script but can't find the command to do, but would be nice to be able to check any task and its status.

    What I found so far:

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1013003

But that was not helpful at all. I tried but could not get information about the deployment.

Thank you all for any help or lead, you may have.

    Hello world

I found the answer myself, which was indeed in the URL I posted.

I just had a problem to see a small change in orders.

In step 7, it says task_info and I wrote get.tasklist with the task identifier.

Thank you guys and I hope at least that it might help someone trying to do what I'm doing and reading VERY well orders, haha

    Thank you

    Hi Michael6208,

    ·         You get the error message for Windows update?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Method 2: For windows, update problem, disable the security software temporarily.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network at the time the anti-virus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

Method 4: Follow the steps in the article to reset the Windows Update components.

How to reset the Windows Update components?
