I can't get WiFi HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer connect to internet... at least I think that's the problem. I followed all the instructions on the HP print and Scan doctor as well as solve problems of failure to install HP. My router is working fine for everything else and I entered the router the static address for the printer.  It seems that my printer thinks it's connected to my WiFi (Ihave WPS it several times), but when I type there nothing appears in my IE IP address. My router does not see the printer either. I have the latest driver installed on my computer. I suspect that this may be a router problem: new Asus Double 450 Mbps N Router router (dual - band, but it appears my router uses the 2.4 Hz band to connect with WPS). Windows 7 64.

    Hello NRHII,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are unable to connect the Officejet 8600 via a wireless connection. I will do my best to help you! I would recommend power cycling the router, the printer and the computer:

    (1) turn off your printer
    (2) unplug the power cord at the back of the router
    (3) restart your computer
    (4) wait less than 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord to the router
    (5) turn the printer, wait for the computer to turn on

The wireless light blinking on your printer? If so, please reconnect the wireless on your printer using the Wireless Setup Wizard: (this information is declared here.)

    1. On the touch screen of the printer, press the right arrow key ( ) to display the second navigation screen.
    2. Tap the Installer icon ( ).
    3. Tap network , tap the wireless configuration wizard , and then press continue . The printer looking for available networks.
    4. Tap the name of your network and then press OK .
    5. If you are prompted, enter the password for the network, and then press OK . The printer connects to the network.

    Hi all

HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer-N911a, XP operating system. It's all new today and I'm very aware of this new stuff. (I'm older)

My old Scanner from HP (HP Scanjet G 4010) let me resize my photos or obituaries that I put in a genealogy program. When you try to analyze recent articles in my program, in that I have a small image to the left of the page with the rest of a page 8 x 11 white.

Is it possible to implement on this 8600 or am I missing something?  Any help or ideas appreciated.

    Thank you

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 e-all in one; "Center of HP, print Web Solutions, etc. have not installed.

Windows 7; Wireless network; Today, I installed my new e-all-in-one Officejet Pro 8600 wireless printer. When finished, I was able to print, I have created e-print, and the scanner works, but did not find what was once called the "Solutions Center HP" that I could click on choose scanning, check the ink supply, get 'Help' and so on.  A HP 8600 printer icon installed on the desktop, but when I clicked it, it was just a bunch of meaningless jibberish, but had no function. I went to 'Start', then HP and was able to somehow make a "Scan icon" to open.  I don't have the ability to implement "WEBPRINT", nor REGISTER MY PRODUCT and so on. In other words, the installation has not finished. I tried putting the CD back in, but no additional options were available except to reconfigure them, etc.  Thank you for your help.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911n scan to folder gives "system failure."

We have an Officejet Pro 8600 N911n and we set it up to scan to folder, but it gives an error "system failure."  Rights have been given and file is shared with all the rights and even tried using the admin account and still the same error.  They had a different printer configuration a year or two there has been no problem.  Here is the screenshot of the error.

I see that a FW update for the 8600 JO is available on the HP support site.    By chance, it is a point made in this update?    I tested a network folder today and it worked fine.   Have you tried other folders as well?

  • How to send a fax to several unique recipients on an Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one?

What is the best way to send the same fax to several unique recipients without having to send the fax manually to each recipient?  I use an Office Jet Pro 8600.  My previous HP (M2727MFP) allowed Ad Hoc manual fax but the same process does not work on the 8600.

    Any suggestions?

If you have the software installed on your computer, you should have the 8600 Fax Driver installed. That will allow you to send to multiple recipients without having to print a physical page. Everything you have to do is the printer using the program on the fax driver, and it will appear a window asking for the numbers you want to send the fax to. The document linked below will on other ways that you can fax without using the software. I think that the Fax issue will be what you are looking for. The document will explain more. Hope that helps.

I upgraded to this printer from a 6500 more which allowed the map SD be accessible with I.e. through the address IP of "memory_card" followed by printing the full syntax in my situation was http://192.168.0.111/memory_card the problem is that does not work on the 8500, and not more than other permutations I tried as the 'memory '. , "memory card", "SD" etc. does anyone know what syntax works on the 8500 , nobody knows why it cannot be the same syntax for all? Setup and user's guide did not touch this topic on the 6500, or isn't on the 8500, and is not in the FAQ on the 8500, apparently I'm the ask only a single, and my need is not uncommon. Hello

I don't know when / if there has been a change or we live just the strangeness even . I couldn't go to our 8600 using the same method as you who seems to think the habit of work. Our IE has been updated, so something could have changed there but it's the method I used that worked: in IE or simply explore (if you use windows 7 don't know if works for vista or below) type: \\ipadress\memory_card . It is possible that the IP address may have changed with the new printer. Do you have the ip address or make sure it is correct?

    Hello Maltesem,

I'm so happy to hear that we were able to get the problem resolved for you.  It's great!

As for the small pop-up that appears when scanning, which is part of the new software and cannot be removed.  I know this can be a bit of a pain if you are not used, but it is convenient if the scan does not look right and you want to cancel it.

If you have any questions or concerns, please by all means email me back and I'll be happy to help you at any time.

    See you soon,.

Although it is not recommended as a normal course of action, for the case when the printer does not respond you can disconnect the power for one minute to allow the system to reset, then plug back in and go through the troubleshooting for the paper jam.

  • HP scanner not work on the new Officejet Pro 8600

    Hello

I have a brand new Officejet Pro 8600 Premium and a not scan using the HP scanning application.  When I click on the "Scan" button, I finally have a message that says "Sanner reported an error Impossible to log on to the device.  I am able to print without any problems.

I've updated all the software with the latest version from the HP website.  I'm on OS X Lion of the mountains (10.8).  I am also unable to perform a scan by using the picture Capture application in my folder of the application.  When I try to use this application, all the buttons are gray, so that I can not click on them.

    Thank you

    Chris

I was able to fix this on my own.  I discovered that SNMP has been disabled in the settings of the printer.  Once I enabled it, not only the scanner started to operate via HP Scan, but the HP utility has been able to identify and change the settings of the printer, where before it only showed the printer as 'unknown '.

  • How can I set up my new Officejet Pro 8600 more printing on paper photo 4 x 6?

How can I set up my new Officejet Pro 8600 more printing on paper photo 4 x 6?  I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit.

It's strange.  Looks like you have a second paper tray and put it to the default tray.  The second paper tray only supports the types of paper that show on your list.  It's strange because unless you have purchased a second tray paper, plus model has one.  Does only the high-end model.  Other than that, only certain types of media can be duplex, so if you have double-sided printing, it can limit the selection.  I'll watch what else could be the cause and get back to you.
