  • Why was the easy access make a shortcut to Windows 7

Why is the easy access make a shortcut on your desktop in Windows 7.   In the past you can click on a program in your menu, right click, and the opportunity to create a shortcut, and I do mean immediately, instantly on your desktop, not the taskbar.  Now, it's almost if not totally impossible. If it is possible, my computer HP 2000 has a major defect.  Can someone please give me secondarily reasoning why they did it and... mainly how I can create a shortcut to any program, not just a file within that program?

I guess it depends on what your menu calls?

Click the Start button and click on all programs on the bottom.

Scroll through the list of programs and do a right-click of Office word, open the folder Microsoft office as your example

Point to send to and click Desktop (create shortcut).

    Hi flyingscot,.

    • Switch to the metadata Panel and check if you see keywords/tags etc.
    • If this does not work, make sure that you have read and write access to the folder where your images, as well as adobe files.

  • Bridge CS5.1 reinstall

I've updated to Windows 10 and now Adobe Bridge CS5.1 will not open. I enter the bridge cs5.1 programfiles\adobe\adobe and do a right click on the app, run as administrator (or open), and it opens a box asking you if it's okay if this program makes changes to my computer. I click Yes and nothing happens. I try to open the program and nothing. Help, please!

    Hi Miasphoto,

CS 5.1 is now end of life and we have few resources to offer, as it was never tested on windows 10. Please check theAdobe - Creative Suite 5 Master Collection: System requirements.

  • Bridge CS5 Lightroom CC transfer?

I use Bridge CS5 for years and I am in the process of conversion into CC Lightroom.  Is it possible to transfer all of my ranking in Lightroom CC?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi daralikesara

    > Is it possible to transfer all of my ranking in Lightroom CC?

    Thanks in advance! >

This is probably a question for the Lightroom forum, but yes, you can transfer some of that you have defined in Bridge to Lightroom. Lightroom recognizes metadata, so that you can import your list of keywords in Lightroom (make sure to export first of the bridge and put an easy place for you to find). It is not all individual transfer. That you have added the description becomes legend, for example. Lightroom also recognizes the coast to stars, but the labels of Lightroom are not equivalent to the bridge. So if labels are critical for your organization, you can turn them into a key attribute, you can then filter on the keyword and accordingly apply the labels of LR. Otherwise, they'll all be white.

Do not forward collections. Lightroom must first catalog and create previews for your images, and then you can create Collections for them inside Lightroom.

I'm sure that you will have many more questions about Lightroom, then here is the link to the LR forum:

  • Bridge CS5 does not see changes made by LR3

When I make changes to the NEF files in LR3 in the DEVELOP module, Bridge does not see it.  Should I develop naves to another format first for bridge pick up changes?

Two badges will tell you that what you were doing in Lightroom was written to the raw file. However, if the bridge is not reflecting these changes, it will most likely because that is the default view in Bridge using the embedded preview. This is used for speed but means that it does not actually show how the image really looks like in Adobe applications. Fortunately, this is easily fixed - switch previews of high quality bridge as shown in the screenshot below. The disadvantage of the use of high quality is that bridge will be slower (much slower) to render previews of your thumbnails

  • Balance of whites DO NOT synchronize in Bridge CS5

Instead of LR3 I use Bridge CS5 and the tool in camera raw to my changes (it of all the same tools and runs faster). Anyway, a strange problem I noticed recently, after SEVERAL changes of employment... I noticed that the white balance was not the same on all my files. IT IS A HUGE * PROBLEM FOR ME! I tried everything, but for some reason any bridge is synchronize only not the white balance, even though I just had selected white balance... I need to have all my files the same... I do NOT work in the camera raw module and it does NOT work when you right-click, go to settings, copy the settings and then paste settings...

    Anyone else experienced this?

    I have ACR installed 6.1

Is the WB As Shot, perhaps?  Synchronizing As Shot as your impeccable WB, sets the WB to whatever the camera was put in, which if it is Auto WB in the camera, then the values Temp/tint will be different for each photo.  If you want that all the parameters of the WB for Temp/tint values you need to change the Custom WB or use one of the selections included having a constant Temp/tint numbers set WB.

What I usually do, is change the WB shot as something slightly different by changing the value of shade and then set the color back to what it was if necessary, which will make it say custom instead of ACE Shot and then synchronize with this Custom value.

  • Bridge CS5 - setting to automatically open the images selected in ACR?

My Bridge CS3 opens images (when I click on the thumbnail) in ACR, jpg even.  How to make this happen in Bridge CS5?

I can open in ACR by going in "file > open", but is there a way to automatically?  Sorry if there is an obvious answer, but I'm

absent - it if there is.  I just installed CS5 today.

    Thanks... carolyn

How to make this happen in Bridge CS5?

I can open in ACR by going in "file > open", but is there a way to put

    automatically?

You can set it in preferences. By default, it is set to open only jpeg

and tiff with parameters (and that's really the only adjustment I want because I have)

don't want to open ACR everytime I open a jpeg or tiff file...)

Under the Bridge menu, you have two preferences, first Camera Raw, then

Preferences (those who are for the bridge)

In the preferences of the camera, you have down to choose from

3 options to open jpeg and tiff in ACR. Not at all, just the ones with ACR

    Settings and all the time.

    Also consider this workflow:

Leave the default settings to only open files with parameters and bridge

Content panel select one or more files that you want to change in ACR. With the right

Click the mouse choose "Open in Camera Raw" from the submenu.

If you already changed files and want to fine tune them just double

Click to open in ACR (those that have a small icon with sliders top right

    the miniature)

You can also use the Panel filter (Camera Raw - custom settings) to show

    Only files with parameters.

    Just another workflow

  • Bridge CS5 crashes repeatedly (CS4 too)

A typical workflow for me is to open 4-5 (.dngs) in Camera Raw in bridge raw files, edit, save as TIFF, return to the bridge and move the raw files to a subfolder. My problem arises usually when I try to move the raw files. Bridge moves them, but at the same time it crashes. I can move 1 file at a time without crashing, but not 2 or more.

I hoped CS5 would solve this problem, but it didn't. I trashed my prefs, several times. I purged the cache several times. I changed my openGL settings in Photoshop Basic. Every thing I try works for a short time (which means that for about an hour I can come 2 .dngs both in subfolders after backup/editing in Camera Raw). Then it stops working, and I'm back for repeated failures.

I am under Photoshop CS5 x 64 in Windows 7, with 12 GB of Ram, a quad-core i7 processor and an ATI Radeon 4870 graphics card. Photoshop CS4 and now CS5, work like a dream; and that's of Camera Raw. I know Bridge cannot see most of this RAM, but I would really like that it works as well as it did in CS3, on a much older, slower machine for me.

Is it a problem other people had? I was not able to find much about it in the forums or Google, only a solution involving a nVidia graphics card, which I did not. Oh-, I have the latest drivers for my graphics card, etc.

  • Using Bridge CS5 with Photoshop CC?

Hi, I currently use Photoshop and Bridge CS5 and was going to register for service CC Photoshop/Lightroom but noticed this does not include the bridge as an organizational tool. I would still be able to use my CS5 Bridge along side new versions of Photoshop/Lightroom or attempt to install it cause incompatibility? Or would I need to get an extra sub in order to allow the opposite bridge CC?

    Andy Martin

    Andy,

    The Photoshop/Lightroom includes bridge CC.

If I remember correctly it is a separate download and Setup, but it is included in the price.

  • Where can I get the Adobe Camera RAW Nikon D7100 update using Bridge CS5?

Where can I get the Adobe Camera RAW Nikon D7100 update using Bridge CS5?

    Currently using:

    Adobe Bridge CS5 v. 4.1.0.54

    Adobe Camera RAW c. 6.7.0.339

    Thank you!

The D7100 was added to the list of devices supported in Camera Raw version 7.4, which is compatible with Photoshop CS6. There is no Camera Raw plugin for Photoshop CS5 that will support this camera. You will need to choose another software, or use the free DNG Converter to create negative digital copies of your NEF files. Then you can open these files DNG using Camera Raw, you have now.

Another problem with CS5 was the Bridge opens as a process in the background and must be closed in the taskbar > hidden icons before updating.

    Good luck

In fact, you have had a chance, I'm surprised that the D800 goes back to CS5 and ACR6.7

Canon 6 d id NOT taken in charge by ACR 6.7.1. He was supported for the first time in ACR 7.3 requiring CS6 to run.

Therefore, you will never be able to open the 6 d directly CR2 raw files in CS5.

If you don't plan on upgrading, you can download the Adobe DNG Converter 8.3 free and autonomous (always use the latest version, it is not related to your version of Photoshop in all), install it like any other application, then run it on each batch of CR2 files to convert them into files DNG raw that you can then open in your version of Photoshop and ACR.
