    > Original driver here on the TOSHIBA page... is too old... and mae AMD driver problem...

I put t know how help you buddy the point is that the graphics card driver that is available on the page of the Toshiba driver is modified for mobile use and its recommended by Toshiba.
Usually, you use this driver to make sure that the correct feature for laptop.

Of course, you can try to use the other graphics card drivers, but in some cases, different version could lead to small different questions: in this case > problem with brightness control.

However, you can try to install the graphics driver AMD/ATI driver Toshiba UE page but check the driver released for other series of laptop. You might get a more recent version of the driver.

Brightness last but not the least similar problems could be value added Package update (for Win 7), but also the BIOS update (if available)

  • Problems with brightness adjustment

    Hello!

I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 8 Pro. It's a Sony Vaio S Series, aged only two days.

My eyes are very sensitive to light, so I kept the brightness on my old laptop less over time, but it won't let me change the brightness settings.

I tried to change it on the charms of the bar, as well as the settings of the power plan and the Fn keys, but every time that I change it, it immediately self-aggrandizing ' adjusts to full intensity. I tried searching through the peak power plan settings, but cannot find the setting to turn off the automatic setting.

He will show me he peut change brightness, but that he will not remain at the level I want for more than half a second.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi, Annie

It seems that everyone wants to control the brightness on your computer, Windows, Sony, hardware, etc.

Here are links to some tutorials with more information on how to do this.

Screen brightness - adjust in Windows 8:
    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/6041-screen-brightness-adjust-Windows-8-a.html

Adaptive brightness - turn on or off in Windows 8:
    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/6042-Adaptive-brightness-turn-off-Windows-8-a.html

If you have this installed, it has a brightness adjustment of the automatic screen in the Vaio control center, look in the section view .

Open Control Panel and select Power Options. On the left side, at the bottom of the screen, click the Windows Mobility Center .

If none of these help, I would recommend that ask you this question on the Sony Support Forums. Someone may have found the magic options to solve this problem on your model.

  • Re: Satellite C - brightness adjustment market works

As the title says, sometimes, I can adjust the brightness with the fn keys and sometimes not. In fact, in this case, I can't adjust the brightness at all. Since I'm not very frequently change the brightness, I can't really give a model. But the last time this happened was the following

-running on battery power, the fn keys work to adjust the brightness
-Put hang it (or is that Hibernate in windows 7, the one under fn 4)
    -resume
    -cannot adjust brightness more

It looks more like a problem of windows than a toshiba problem, but who knows.
Furthermore, if I reboot, the brightness adjust still works. And the function keys work fine too, for example. sleep, suspend, zoom...

    Hi thargor,

The brightness and all the other keys FN keys are controlled by value added and Flash Cards Support utility package. I think that don t work tools much more then I recommend reinstall these two tools of Toshiba. You can download on the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

But remove older versions first before reinstalling the newest one.

  • Satellite M70-239 - problems with brightness adjustment

    Hello

I ve got this laptop from my father after I buyed a new. Actually everything´s with him very well. But one thing is a little strange, I think.
My old laptop and other portable that I had before, has the ability to control things like the brightness of the screen when you connect to load automatically. So not for this one. Nothing happens.

Windows doesn´t also shows the remaining battery life expectancy and other things like that. These functions are not supported by this guy? I ve installed the latest bios version 1.70, which is available on the official website and I m using Windows XP.

Someone at - it the same problem and is there a solution for this? Maybe you can help me.

    welcome them

    Hello

Satellite M70 was delivered with Windows XP edition family, and Windows XP Home typical configuration. I imagine that you have installed all Toshiba tools and utilities, so it must there also have preinstalled Toshiba Power saver.

He yiou can see profiles of different powers and each of them can be configured separately. Thus, when the laptop is connected to power notebook AC power will be the mode full power. There you can set LCD brightness to the maximum level.
When the laptop is on battery will then serve others power plan. Compare the settings in two power modes and choose your preferred settings.

Brightness level can also be changed with the key FN + F6/F7 combination.
Of course, this will works if all Toshiba tools and utilities are preinstalled.

  • Power cord screen brightness variation and no brightness adjustment

For some reason, it just happened by chance. When my power cord is inserted into my laptop instead of the increase in brightness of the screne, it decreases and her pretty dark as well and I don't know how to get back to the top.

Anyone have any idea whats going on. Because I haven't yet touched it and it just went.

Please can someone help, because it's very difficult because I can barely see anything.

This product Tag number you provided is not coming as valid on the Dell site.  Please check again - I know it is difficult to read because it is so small.  So I could not check the details on your machine, but I don't know if this will help because Dell doesn't offer a lot of information on how to control hardware devices on their systems.  But if you check and send me the correct code, I'll try to cehck and see anyway.

I found the following on the Dell site and don't know if it applies to your specific system, but this is something we have not tried, so it is worth it.

    Adjust the brightness

"To set the screen LCD Brightness hold FN key and press the up arrow to increase the brightness.
or just holding the key FN and press the down arrow to decrease the brightness. »

Here is a thread in the Forum of Dell, I found on the issues of brightness with the Dell Inspiron 1545.  It includes the same procedure described above - but it includes a position that most of these problems is caused by problems with the motherboard.  I don't know if this is the problem, but if it is then, we deal with a hardware problem and not a software problem.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Dell Inspiron 1520 screen brightness adjustment does not

When I try to adjust the brightness of the screen by pressing the Fn key and pressing the up/down arrows, nothing happens. I finally found it to work several months ago. I downloaded Dell Quickset and BIOS update today, but this does not solve the problem. Any constructive suggestion appreciated.

    Brian

I just tried this and IT WORKED! I don't know how much luck you'll have, but try the Fn key and pressing the up and down arrows while your computer starts. It worked for me. For my Inspiron 1420, I adjusted the brightness, while he was when the screen went black and the words "Microsoft Corporation" above and the Green loading bar going across the screen. That's what I did and I hope it works for you! :)

It happens a lot & don't become a kind of everyday / every time that case. I'm aware of display setting that occurs when power is plugged in & on & I assure you, this isn't what I'm talking about. It happens when I'm working on it if plugged in or out. could someone help me with that please? For those who ignore product its config is---> (3rd gen) i5, 4 GB RAM, 1 GB graphics card (Radeon) in additions to the Intel HD integrated card.   Thnx in adv.

    Hey Nick,

    Stop fighting with him.

Call HP and ask for help.  It can be a little bad hardware... it might be something that can be adjusted.

  • Inspiron 14z N411Z undesirable & quot; Auto & quot; Brightness adjustment

I just got my second inspiron 14z N411Z. One was sent back because of some loose rattling around inside the case and because the light would change randomly. Although my new replacement doesn't have any spare parts, it has the same problem of brightness. While some sites Web, the brightness will automatically change slightly. If it's not a huge change in brightness as using the actual brightness controls, just to be annoying.  This adjustment is not random, as happens only on some websites or parts of some Web pages. If I'm on weather.com and scroll to the middle of the page, the screen will noticeably dim itself three notches. If I scroll up, however, he goes back to its original luster. It's almost as if there is a setting of the auto brightness depending on what you are viewing.  It is a normal characteristic of these monitors, or received another lemon? If it's a feature, I'd love to tun it took off.

    Thanks for any help,

    John

It's an Intel graphics framework that should be modified for maximum performance. You can find this setting by going to control panel, power options, change the parameters of plan, advanced to change power settings, graphics settings intel. Change the power for maximum performance plan, and this should solve your problem.
